The baby boy cried on his mother's chest. Sam reached over and touched his son for the first time.

"Oh my gosh.. My son.. You're my son!" He chuckles.

"Mr. Shepard, would you like to cut your baby's cord?"

"Hm?  Oh that's me! *Laughs* Yes, of course!" He smiles proudly.

Sam cuts the cord and chuckles.

"That's spongy!"

Jessica laughs and watches as he kisses Tiffany.

"You're so amazing! How did you do that?!"

"I have no idea!" She laughs.

The nurses take the baby to get cleaned off and Sam goes to give his mother a hug.

"I love you, mom! I had no idea what you went through so many times! I mean, it's just horrible! Thank you for doing that!"

"Oh sweet boy! You're welcome!" Jessica giggles.

"I feel bad that you're gonna have to do it again." He says placing his hand on her bump.

"Oh I'll be fine! What's one more time?" She shrugs.

Sam chuckles and kisses his cheek before he turns to his son.

The nurse hands him to Sam and he smiles down to the baby.

"Hi little guy! I'm your daddy!"

Jessica tears up and takes their picture.

"Mom.. Did you hear what his name is?" Sam smiles.

"No! What is it?"

"Samuel Roger Shepard.. The third."

Jessica covers her mouth and starts crying even more.

"Oh Samuel!  Your daddy would be so happy!  He is happy!" Jessica touches his back and rests her head on his arm as she smiles down to her grandson.  He looked just like his Sam when he was born.

"Samuel, he looks just like you!"

Sam smiles and the baby starts to softy cry.

"Awe, listen to that sweet little cry!  He probably wants his mama!" Jessica baby talks.

Sam walks over and sits on the edge of the bed as he hands him over to Tiffany.

"Oh look at my little man!  Hi, cutie! I'm your mama, sweet boy!"

Sam wraps his arm around her and kisses the top of her head. 

"You missed!" Tiffany looks up and chuckles.

Sam smiles and softly kisses her lips.

"Mom, would you like to hold him?"

"Yes!  Give me my little guy!
"Oh aren't you precious!  Hi, Samuel!  I'm your grandma!  Oh you're just too adorable!  You look so much like your daddy when he was born, and you know who else you look like? Your grandpa Sam!  What's that?  You say that's your name too? Well that's because you're just so so special! You're our first grandchild, little Samuel.. Oh grandma is gonna spoil you silly!" She smiles and kisses his cheek, then pecks his forehead and takes in his sweet baby scent.

"Sorry for the tiny little feet kicking your booty right now. That's your aunt!" Jessica laughs as Nova kicks Samuel.

"I can tell they're going to have a great relationship!" She chuckles.

"Danny, he's here!" Jessica runs to him.

"He's here?!" Everyone gets excited.

"Yes!  He's so cute!"

"Awe!" Danny smiles as Jessica gives him a tight hug.

"How's Tiffany?" Dorothy asks.

"Great!  They're taking her to recovery right now.  She did really well!"

"My baby's a grandma!" Dorothy hugs her.

"I am!" Jessica laughs. "

"The baby's here?! I'm an uncle!" Grayson smiles.

"Yes you are! *Giggles* How does it feel to be uncle Grayson?" Jessica gets down and hugs him.

"I like it!" He says making everyone laugh.

"I like my uncle George, now!"

"Yes you are! Do you boys want to meet your nephew?" Jessica smiles at her boys.

"Yes!"

"And how about you, grandpa? Ready to meet your grandson?" Jessica looks up to Danny.

"Yes I am! Now let me help you up, grandma." He chuckles and pulls her up.

"Thanks!"

"How's the little auntie?" He holds her belly and kisses the top of it.

"She was kicking her nephew!" Jessica laughs.

"Auntie Nova, what are you doing, silly girl?" Danny rubs his hands back and forth.

She kicks Danny's hand and Jessica says, "She says, Shut up, dad!"

"Heh, right? You feelin okay?"

"Yeah, I feel a lot better. I think I was just nervous. I was having sympathy pains." Jessica chuckles.

"Heh! Well I'm just glad you made it through her delivery. I don't know what we'd do with two of you in labor at the same time.  My heart couldn't take it."

"Awe you cutie!" Jessica smiles and holds his chin in her hand.

She softly kisses his lips and says, "Let's go see, little man."

"Hey! Oh my gosh, look at the little guy!" James says walking into the room.

"Hey! Oh my gosh, Zach and Mikey! Thanks for coming, guys!  I didn't know you were here!"

"We wouldn't miss it!" Zachary smiles.

Sam's smile grows and he says, "Guys.. I want you to meet Samuel Roger Shepard the third."

"Oh that's awesome!" Michael smiles.

Sam hands the baby to James, and he just smiles at him.

"Woah.. Hi, buddy! This is so cool! Sam, you're a dad!" He laughs.

"It's weird, huh?"

"Yeah.. Gosh, he looks like you in your baby pictures, Sam."

"That's what I said!" Jessica says.

"I mean, he looks more like you than I did.. And we're twins!"

"I know!" Sam laughs.

"I wanna see him! I wanna see him!" Grayson jumps up beside James.

James sits down and Grayson sits beside him.

"Oh he's so cute!" Grayson's voice goes high before he kisses him.

"Hi!! I'm uncle Grayson!! We can play toys and I'll show you Fred! He's my puppy and my best friend! We can be best friends too!" He smiles.

"Awe, what a sweetie pie!" Jessica says cutely.

Tiffany chuckles and he says, "Tiff, you got him out! You got him out of your vagina! Good job!" He gives her a thumbs up.

"Grayson!" Jessica laughs.

"I-I mean the baby chute! The baby chute!"

"Thanks for the support, Gray." Tiffany laughs.

Sam laughs and kisses her temple as he wraps his arm around her and she lays on him.

"What is this?" Caroline smiles and walks closer.

"Heh! We um.. *Laughs* I love this man." Tiffany shrugs.

"And I love this woman. I'm not gonna hide it anymore. Seeing what her body is capable of just made me fall in love with her even more."

"Awe! Yay, I'm so happy!!" Caroline claps and hops up and down.

"I wanna hold him!" Grayson raises his voice.

"Okay, but make room for mama." Jessica motions for him to scoot over.

She takes the baby away from James and hands him to Grayson.

"Just like you learned in class, okay?"

"Mhm!" He nods.

"Gosh, this is so adorable!" Danny says as he takes a picture of Grayson just smiling down at his new little nephew.

"I holding him!" Grayson smiles.

"You're doing a great job, bud!" Sam says.

"Yeah, I am!"

"Why don't you let daddy hold him now?" Jessica asks.

"You wanna hold him, daddy?" He asks.

"I'd love to!"

Danny takes the baby and smiles.

"Sam, he's so adorable."

"Thanks, I made him myself!" Sam smirks.

"You dork!" Jessica laughs as she rubs the top of her stomach where the baby was balled up.

"Jesus, can you move down, little girl?"

"Silly silly Nova!" Grayson nods and smiles as he lightly pats her belly.

They continue passing the baby around until everyone has held him.

"Oh my gosh.. Wow. Heh! One of us has one of these." Michael chuckles.

"I'm uncle Mikey.. I'm really the coolest one, so just know you can always come to me whenever your old man is being a jerk."

"Or come to me! I'm Zach! I'm kinda new here too!" He smiles.

Jessica laughs and reaches up for his hand.
Zachary grabs it and kisses the top of her head.

Sam smiles at his brother holding his son. Looking around the room Sam was so happy to see all of his family together. But he couldn't help but feel sad that his father wasn't there to share this special moment with them. Then it made him even more upset that Caroline had no one but her cousin there for her. She was a good girl and didn't deserve that. That day Sam made a promise to himself, to always protect her and keep her happy. To make sure she always felt loved, and to work hard for her and for their son. He was now responsible for two other people. Sam knew it was going to be hard, but he wanted to do it for them. For his mother and for Danny.. And for his father.
