A week has passed and Danny has not mentioned his mother.
Jessica didn't want to upset him, so she stayed quiet.

At work George noticed something was bothering Jessica.

"Jess, you okay?"

"Hm? Oh, yeah.. I'm okay."

George sits on the edge of her desk and sets his paperwork down.

"What's up? Talk to me, sis."

*Sighs* "Okay. So go remember the deal with Danny's parents?"

"Yeah."

"Well his mom called him at work but Danny hung up and never called her back. He's really hurt over the whole thing and it's understandable! His parents disowned him!
I told him that I'd support him in what ever decision he made. It's been a week and he hasn't brought it up again. It just pisses me off! Why did they do that to him? Why is she just now calling him? He's been quiet this week.. Even the boys have noticed. I really think he needs to see them, or at least his mom. His dad hasn't called. I just don't know what to do.."

"Why don't you bring up the idea of just calling his mom?"

"I don't want him to think I'm forcing him to do anything."

"Jess, he won't think that. You're about to be his wife, he'll listen to what you have to say.

"Yeah.. I guess you're right. I'll talk to him tonight."

"Hey baby. *Smiles* How was work?" Jessica asks as Danny walks into the kitchen.

"Eh. It was okay. Yours?"

"It was good. Dinner is almost ready."

"Great! I'm gonna change, and I'll be back." Danny says walking towards the stairs.

"Hey!" Jessica whines.

"What?" He turns to her.

"You didn't give me a kiss." She pouts.

"Awe I'm sorry!" Danny hurries over and gives her a kiss.

"I love you." He says as he wraps his arms around her and rests her head on her.

"I love you too."

"Daddy home!! Daddy home!!" They hear the pitter patter of little feet running towards them.

"Hey buddy!"

"Hi!"

Danny turns to Grayson and he runs into his arms.

He kisses him and asks, "How was your day? Did you have fun at grandma's?"

"Yeah! I go to my dada's mama's house! We see my daddy on da TV!!"

"Oh how cool, Gray!"

Jessica smiles and says, "Jane played a video from the twins sixth birthday party.. Sam was quite the entertainer!" Jessica laughs.

"Dada a clown!" Grayson mumbles in his cute baby voice.

"A clown?" Danny chuckles.

"Yeah! *Laughs* The clown we hired fell through, but the boys were so set on having one.. Sam didn't want to disappoint them, so he scavenged all over the house and came up with the best clown costume he could, which was pretty awesome! The boys loved it, especially since it was daddy! They would always beg him.. Daddy be a clown! Be a clown!
Daddy Ruffles was a huge hit!"

"Hah! That's awesome! I'd love to see that video one day, Grayson."

Grayson smiles and buries his face in him.

Danny kisses his head and Jessica rubs his back.

"Let daddy change so we can eat some dinner, baby."

"Okay!" He smiles and reaches for Jessica.

"My boy!" She smiles and holds him tight as she sways.

"So mom." Michael sets his fork down and smiles.

"What do you want?"

"What makes you think I want something? Oh and have I told how beautiful you look today?"

"Mikey."

"Yes?"

"What do you want?"

"Jessie, there's this party that-" Zachary decides to just go ahead and ask.

"Oh! A party!"

"Excuse me! Where's my compliments? Your mother and I make these decisions together. Right baby?"

"Right!" Jessica nods.

"Okay, you look beautiful too, dad!"

"Thanks Zach!" Danny smiles big.

Jessica laughs and nods her head.

"What about this party?"

"It's really safe, we're good kids, we know and you know the family, it's perfect!"

"When is it?"

"June sixteenth."

"Michael!"

"I know! It's the wedding! But it's not until later that day, the wedding will be over and we can go!"

"No you cannot!"

"Mooom!" Michael whines.

"No. *Nods* It's a family day and the answer is no."

"I told you, Mike." Zachary says.

Michael sighs and looks down.

"Mikey sad?" Grayson asks.

"He'll be fine! They'll be other parties."

"I hate this!" Michael groans.

"Well I'm sorry that one day out of our entire existence isn't about you, Michael!"

"It's just not fair! The wedding will be over by then!"

"Michael, I said no, so stop it!"

After dinner the boys help Danny clean up while Jessica takes Grayson upstairs for a bath.

"Danny, will you please talk to her? If we're not there, we'll look like total dweebs!"

"No Michael, I agree with your mother."

"Danny!"

"Mickey, your mom has been through a lot. You know better than anyone how much she's gone through. The wedding isn't just about your mother and I, it's about our two families becoming one. It's a family day and it's really important! I want everything to be perfect for her. You know and I know that she deserves everything in the world. I want this day to be absolutely perfect! So please don't bug her about that party again. Okay?"

"Yes sir. I'm sorry.."

"It's okay.. I was young. I was in high school before and I know how parties are. Some things are just more important. I mean, what will you look back on in twenty years and think, Man, that was a great day. A party that if you're not careful could get you into some trouble? Or your mother's wedding day where your whole family's together and your mom is happy? I think that would be priceless, man."

"You're right, Danny. Thanks."

"The end!"

"Nother one, mama!"

"No nother one, it's time for bed!"

"No!" Grayson pouts.

"Yes!" Jessica puckers her lips.

Grayson smiles and stands on her lap as he grabs her cheeks and gives her a kiss.

"Oh I love your kisses!"

Grayson giggles and throws himself on her.

Danny walks in a smiles, "You're still up, Gray?!"

"Mhm!" He nods.

"I not sweepy."

"You're not sweepy?!" Danny says Sleepy in Grayson's voice.

"No!"

"So you're just gonna pull an all nighter?"

"Yeah." He nods.

Jessica laughs and Danny says, "Do you even know what that means?"

Grayson nods with a cheeky smile.

"No you don't!" Jessica chuckles and playfully taps his head.

"Ouch!" Grayson pouts and rubs the spot she tapped.

"Oh stop it!"

"Oh no!  Mama hurt the baby!" Danny pouts.

"Yeah.."

Jessica laughs and rolls her eyes.

"Grayson, go night night."

"Danny No!" He points his finger at him.

"Oh it's Danny now, huh?  You little booger!" Danny laughs and tickles Grayson making him laugh uncontrollably.

"Ahhhh!  Stop! Stop! Stop!"

Danny kisses him tickling his face with his stubble.

"Off!  Off!" He pushes him away and buries him face in Jessica's side.

"I go sweep now."

"Oh Now you're sleepy!" Jessica giggles.

Grayson finally falls asleep on Jessica, and Danny was sitting on the ground beside the rocker Jessica was sitting on.

"Danny?"

"Yeah?"

"I don't want to get in your business, but I'm about to become your wife and I think giving you my advise wouldn't be a bad thing, right?"

"Of course not!"

Jessica let's out a deep breath and says, ".. Danny, I think you should call your mother."

Danny looks down and Jessica continues.

"I've noticed and the boys have noticed that you've been different this week.  I didn't tell them why, I just said that you were probably stressed with work.
I just think you need to call her back.  This not knowing what she was going to say is hurting you, I can see that. 
.... I'm not telling you what to do, I just wanted to give you some advise on what I think you should do."

"Alright.. *Sighs* I think... I Know you're right.  I just can't get myself to call her.  Is that stupid?"

"No!  Of course it isn't!  I'm sure it's hard on you, I've said before I have no idea what I'd do... I just think you'll feel a little better with just one phone call."

"You're right."

The next day Jessica was off, so it was just her and Grayson at the house.

*Phone rings*

"Hello?"

"Hi Jessica!  It's Angelica."

"Oh hi!  How are you?  Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I was just wondering if you wanted to have lunch today?  You're about to become my sister in law and we haven't had a girls day!"

"Awe that sounds nice!  I'd love to!  But um, I hope you don't mind that I have to bring Grayson."

"No of course not!  How about we meet at Savannah's at noon?"

"Sounds great!"

"Hi Jessica!  It's nice to see you." Angelica stands up and greets her.

"It's nice to see you too!  Thank you so much for inviting me!" Jessica says putting Grayson into the highchair.

"Of course!  How have you been?"

"Good!  The wedding stuff is pretty much done, so we only really have one thing to do.. The big thing.. Get married!" Jessica laughs.

"Awe!  How exciting!  I'm really happy that Daniel met you.  He really loves you, Jessica."

"I love him too." Jessica smiles, then looks down and bites her bottom lip.

"Awe, you're blushing!  That's really cute."

Jessica giggles and Angelica looks over to Grayson.

"And hello little man!  How are you today?"

Grayson tilts his head and looks shyly at her.

"Say hi, Gray!  That's daddy's sister, remember silly boy?"

Grayson gives her the smallest smile and waves his little hand lightly.

"You are such a cutie!"

He smiles bigger and looks up to Jessica.

"She said you're a cutie, is that why you're all smiles now, you silly boy?"

Angelica laughs and asks, "How's Danny?"

*Sighs* "He's okay.. Angelica, I told him that I thought it would be best if he called his mother.  I'm not telling him to forgive her or anything!  I'm not telling him what to do at all.. I just think that he needs to talk to her.  He's been really down lately and I think it would be best."

Angelica gets tears in her eyes and says, "Jessica, my mom talked to me and she's told me things that I never even knew went on.  Things only she and my father know about."

"What do you mean?"

".. My dad kept her from him."

"What do you mean he kept her from him?"

"Every time she tried getting in contact with him my dad would beat my mother."

Jessica's eyes go wide and her jaw drops.

"Are you serious?!"

"I know.. I'm shocked, I hate my father for doing that to her.  That's her son, she had a right!"

"Wow.."

"I really hope Daniel listens and calls her, because he needs to know the reason why she's never been there for him."

"Yeah.."

"I've never seen her so upset.  She was bawling.  She feels horrible for not being able to just leave him.. She's mad that she couldn't just stand up for her self, but it wasn't her fault if he hit her!! 
She won't call him again, Jessica.  She doesn't want to make him even more upset.  Danny Needs to talk to her!"

Jessica and Angelica ended up spending the rest of the day together.

When she got home, Danny was already there.

"Hey beautiful!  Where have you been?"

"I spent the day with your sister."

"Oh really?  That's nice!" He smiles.

"Yeah!  It was a lot of fun.."

"Is everything alright?"

Jessica nods and curls her lips in.

"Why do you look so upset?"

"Danny, you need to call your mother." She says on the verge of tears.
