Two weeks have passed and Danny decided it was time to start looking at rings for Jessica.

"Danny, I have to go into work today and there's no one to watch Grayson!"

"It's okay honey, I'm off. He can hang out with me."

"Are you sure? I feel bad."

"Jessie, don't feel bad. I'll be here, and I don't mind having him alone for the day at all."

"I just don't want to get into the habit of throwing him off on you."

"Throwing him off on me? Jessica." Danny says taking her hands.

"I know I'm not his dad, but I love him like he's my own, and I really enjoy spending time with him."

Jessica smiles softly.

"I don't think of him as Jessica's child."

"That's really sweet. Thank you, Danny. I'm glad you're here for him."

Danny smiles and kisses her forehead.

"Danny, where my mama?"

"Mama is at work, so you and I are gonna spend the day together."

"Okay!" He smiles.

"And you know what we're gonna do?"

"No." He nods his head.

"We are gonna buy mommy a special special super secret surprise!"

Grayson's eyes widen and he makes an "O" shape with his mouth.

"Yeah!  But we have to keep it a secret. Shh!"

"Shh!" Grayson lifts his finger in front of his mouth, mimicking Danny.

"Yeah, good boy!
.. Hey Gray, I just realized something.  I asked all the guys in your family for your mommy's hand in marriage, but I didn't ask you.  Now that's not nice, is it!"

Grayson just stares at him.

"Grayson, how would you like it if I asked your mommy to be mine forever and ever?"

"No, she my mama!" Grayson frowns and points to himself.

"She's your mama, don't worry!  I just want her to be my wife.  I'll take care of her and you for the rest of my life, sound good?"

"Yeah!"

"Yay!"

"YAAAAYYYY!!" Grayson screams making Danny laugh.

"Ohh this ones nice!  Gray, what do you think about this?"

"No!" He nods.

"You don't like it?"

"Food!" He whines.

"Are you ready for lunch already?"

"Fooood!"

"Hey you know what? You wanna go meet mama for lunch?"

"Yeah!  Mama!  Mama!  Mama!" Grayson claps.

"Alright, let's go." Danny chuckles and hands the ring back to the jeweler.

"Mama's prize?" Grayson points.

"I'll get mama's surprise later. But we can't tell her about it, remember? It's a secret!" Danny whisperers that last part.

Grayson smiles and nods his head.

On the way to Jessica's job, Danny turned the radio on and 24K Magic started playing.

Danny started singing and dancing making Grayson laugh.

"Is that funny? Is Danny being funny, little guy?"

"Yeah!" Grayson giggles.

"Come on Gray, dance with me!"

Grayson starts bobbing his head and kicking his legs.

"There we go! Good boy!" Danny says watching him through the rear view mirror.

"Alright Grayson, ready to see mama?" Danny asks stopping the car.

"Dance! Dance!"

"Well let's get your mom first!" Danny laughs.

"Okay!" He smiles.

Danny takes him out of his car seat, and locks the car.

"Danny I walk!"

"Okay, but you have to hold my hand."

"No." He nods.

"Well then no walk."

"Yes!" He whines.

"Then will you hold my hand?"

"No!"

"Well then I'm sorry, bud."

"Okay! Okay! I hold you hand!"

"Thank you." Danny smiles and stands him up.

Grayson smiles and lifts his hand up to Danny.

"Such a good boy!"

They went into George's office, and walked over to Jessica's desk. She looks up and her eyes widen when she sees them.

"Hey!  What are you two doing here?!" She smiles and quickly stands up to greet them.

"Grayson!" She picks him up and kisses his cheek, then kisses Danny on the lips.

"Mama no kissing Danny!" Grayson laughs and attempts putting his little hand between them.

"Grayson!" She laughs.

"What are you boys doing here?"

"Say we're here to take you to lunch, mommy." Danny looks at Grayson.

"Food!" He smiles.

"Or that." Danny laughs.

"We're here to take our favorite lady to lunch."

"Awe, aren't you sweet? That sounds great. Where should we go?"

"Where would you like?"

"Um, I don't know.. How does Panera Bread sound?"

"Sounds good!

Lunch.

"Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma Maaaaa! Ma Ma.." Grayson sings in his own little tune.

"What baby?" Jessica giggles.

"Mama, mama, mama, MAMA!"

"He just loves singing your name, doesn't he?" Danny chuckles.

"I think so!  Gray, you love your mommy, don't you?"

"Yeah, I Lub Yew!"

"I love you more!"

"Lub, lub, lub.."

Jessica giggles at his cuteness and fixes his hair.

"Danny, mama's prize?"

Danny's eyes slightly widened.

"My prize?" Jessica chuckles.

"Yeah you're mommy's prize, aren't you, Grayson?
You came into mama's life at the hardest time of her life, and made it wonderful. That's why you're her prize!"

"I her prize?!" Grayson's eyes widen.

"Of course you are!"

"Awe Danny!" Jessica smiles.

"That's so sweet! Grayson IS my prize.." She smiles softly at him and gently caresses his cheek.

"I mama's prize!" He lifts his arms in the air and smiles big.

Jessica giggles and Danny smiles at them.

"Nice one, Danny." He takes a sigh of relief.
