"They're gonna take my baby to get poked, Danny! Go with her so she's not alone." Jessica pouts.

"Can I go back there?"

"Yes sir." The nurse smiles.

"Okay, then I'll back. You want me to send someone in?"

"No, I'm just gonna rest for a second."

"Alright, I'll be back." He smiles softly.

"Okay, bye bye." Jessica smiles cutely and waves.

After Nova got her shots, Danny brought her back to the room. By now everyone had gone home for the night.

"Oh my pretty girl! You're back!" Jessica smiles.

"She did really well, mommy!"

"Awe, did she? Good job, Nova! Let's celebrate with some boobie time!"

"Ooh! Daddy would like to celebrate too!" Danny smiles.

"Calm your nasty self, Daniel."

Danny chuckles as he hands Jessica the baby to be nursed.

"Oh you poor baby, you were so hungry!"

"Momma is too, baby! I'm so hungry! Dannyyyyy!" Jessica whines and gives Danny a pout.

"What do you want, baby?"

"Well I'm starving, but I don't want to eat anything too heavy.. I guess I'll take a sandwich."

"Okay, what do you want to drink?"

"Water is fine. Thanks, baby."

"No problem.  I'll be back."

"It's just you and mama now, Princess!  What should we talk about?" Jessica giggles.

"Here's your sandwich, mommy."

"Thanks, daddy!" Jessica smiles.

"Danny, look at this pretty baby!  She's just too gorgeous!"

"Isn't she?  I can't believe we have a baby together."

"I know.. Nova, mommy and daddy worked so hard for you!"

"Especially mama." Danny adds.

"But you're here.. We prayed and prayed, and now.. You're finally here." Jessica smiles.

James and Caroline's POV.

"I want my mommy!" Grayson cries.

"I know, bud.  You'll see her tomorrow, okay?"

"Why can't I go home?  What if mommy, daddy and the baby are there without me?" Grayson rubs his little eyes and pouts his bottom lip.

"They're still at the hospital, Gray.  They would never go back home without you!"

"Not without me?  Mommy's little man?"

"Never!"

"I wanna go to my room!"

"Awe!  You don't wanna sleep with brother and Caro?" Caroline pouts.

"I'll sleep with you."

"Okay, let's go night night." Caroline holds her arms out and Grayson walks to her.

She picks him up and takes him to the bedroom, then lays him in between her and James.

"Can you call my mommy?" He looks at Caroline with sad eyes.

"Oh baby....
James, do you think we could call?"

"It's late, babe."

"But look at his little face!" Caroline baby talks while holding Grayson.

"I guess I could call Danny."

"Not my daddy!  I want mommy." He cries.

"I'm sure he'll let you talk to mommy if she's up."

"Okay.." He sniffles and wipes his red tear stained cheeks.

"Hey!  Everything okay?"

"Yeah, Grayson is upset and wants to talk to mom.  Is she up?"

"Yeah, just a second."

"Jess."

"Mhm?" Jessica looks up.

"Gray wants to peak with you." Danny chuckles.

"My baby boy!  Give me the phone!"

"Hi Grayson!  It's momma!"

"Momma, I want you!" Grayson bursts into tears.

"Oh baby, I want you too!"

"When you're coming home?"

"I'm here for one more night."

"No!  But I want you!"

"I'm so sorry, baby!  Brother is gonna bring you to the hospital tomorrow and you can stay all day long if you want!"

"Okay.. Then maybe we can go to the zoo?" He asks in his sweet little voice.

"Maybe in a couple weeks mommy and daddy will take you to the zoo."

"I wanna hold you.."

"I want to hold you too, baby boy."

"I-I W-Aaant.. YOU!" He struggles to say as he sobs.

"Oh Grayson!  Baby, I don't want you to be sad! Mommy has to stay in the hospital a couple days, but then I'll be home and I won't leave you again."

"Okay.. You promise?"

"I promise, my sweet boy."

"I love you!"

"I love you too, now go night night and have sweet dreams!"

"And say my prayers!"

"Yes! Don't forget to say your prayers!"

"Night night, momma."

"Night night, baby."

Jessica hangs the phone up and touches her chest as she pouts.

"That breaks my heart! My baby wants me. He's sad, Danny!"

"I know it's tough, baby. I'm sorry."

"I love that little boy so much!"

"And I pray that mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa, and my grandma Jane are all safe.  I pray that all of my brothers and Fred are safe.  I pray that Tiffany and Caro are safe, and Jesus.. I pray that my baby sister is safe.  Help her be good and not cry.  Aaaamen!" He says before doing the sign. Of the cross.

"Amen!  Good job, Grayson!" Caroline high fives him.

The next day Grayson spent the day at the hospital with his parents and baby sister.

"Momma, look!"

"Whatcha got there, sweet boy?"

"I drawed this for Nova!"

"Oh wow! Grayson, I bet you she loves it! We should frame it and put it up in her room! How does that sound?"

"Good!"

Jessica giggles and Grayson runs to Danny who was holding the baby.

"Nova, I drawed this for you!" Grayson speaks in a baby voice.

Nova makes small cute little noises, and stretches her arms.

"She loves it, bud!" Danny says.

Grayson smiles and goes up on his tiptoes to kiss the baby's head.

"You're such a sweet brother, Grayson!"

"Thanks, mommy!"

"Uncle George is here! Hand over my little niece so I can sniff her new little head!" George walks in and takes the baby from Danny.

"Uncle George, gross! You know where she came out of?"

"Grayson.. Don't ruin this for me."

Jessica laughs and watches her brother with Nova.

"She's so tiny! I don't see how, because you were-"

"Yes, I was a house. I know that!"

"Heh! But it's okay, because you made this perfect little princess!" He says kissing her cheeks.

A while later Jessica lays the baby on the bed and unwraps her blanket.

"Oh look at her just stretching out!" Jessica says in a baby voice.

"She did that in your tummy, mommy!" Grayson smiles as he sits on the edge of the bed watching them.

"She did, didn't she, baby?!"

"Yeah.."

Jessica smiles at him just staring down at his little sister with a soft smile on his face.

"Uh oh!  It's a poopy diaper!" Jessica says.

"Ew!" Grayson scrunches his nose.

"It's okay, it isn't bad!  She's just an itty bitty baby!"

"Still.. Yuck!"

"You don't wanna help me change her?" Jessica laughs.

"Not this one!  I'll help next time." He smiles.

"Oh Miss Nova, you were so hungry, baby!"

Grayson sits in front of his mother just glued to her.  He knew about nursing, and they had talked about how the baby was going to be doing a lot of it, but actually seeing it in real life was mind blowing to him.

"Mommy, this is so weird!"

Jessica laughs and he asks,"Does it hurt when she does that?"

"A little bit, but it won't be so bad after a while."

"What's it taste like?"

"Like milk? I don't know, I've never tasted it before." Jessica chuckles.

"Just pick it up and bend forward." He motions to show Jessica how she could try her own breast milk.

Jessica and Danny both start laughing at Grayson's little suggestion.

"I'll think about it, bud." Jessica chuckles.

"Daddy, you can't have any." Grayson nods to Danny who was standing on the side of them.

"Awe man! I can't?"

"No! *Nods* That's just for Nova! Then mommy might run out and then her will be empty and Nova will starve. You have to eat big people food."

"Okay, I guess you're right!" Danny plays along.

"Yeah, big man food."

"Big man food?" He chuckles.

"Yeah, cause you're a big man."

"Thanks!" He smiles.

Jessica held Nova and Grayson cuddled into her side.

"Momma, your tummy's so squishy." He says pressing his hand into it repeatedly.

"Thanks, buddy."

"I like it.  It's soft and no ones kicking me."

Jessica laughs and rubs his back.

Eventually Grayson fell asleep on his mother.

"He's such a sweet boy!" Dorothy says who had just gotten there with Albert.

"Yes he is!  He's been here all day just watching everything she does.  He likes sitting on the bed and watching me feed and change her, and he drew her pictures!  I just love him!"

"Awe!"

Grayson starts to slowly wake up.

"Grandma!  Hi, grandma!" He smiles with sleepy eyes and waves.

"Hi, Grayson!  How are you enjoying your new sister?"

"I like her!  She cries a little, but not as much Samuel."

"Heh!  Which one?"

"Baby Samuel!" He giggles.

"Did someone say my name?" Sam smiles as he walks in.

"We were talking about baby Samuel, Sam!" Grayson says.

"Oh, well excuse me!  How's little chipmunk today?"

"She's good!  She has a full tummy, a fresh dipey, and she's passed out!"

"Ah, living the life!" Sam smiles softly.

"It's time for me to go, mommy?"

"Awe baby.. Mommy, Daddy and Nova will be home tomorrow morning, okay?"

"Yeah!" Grayson smiles.

"Momma, I'll call you so that I can say my prayers with you tonight."

"Sounds good, little mister!  I love you!"

"I love you too, mommy!"

"I'll see you in the morning, Nova!  You get to meet Fred!" His voice goes high and he smiles.

That night Grayson slept in bed with his older brother and Caroline once again.

"I like you guys, but I miss my mommy and my daddy."

"Well you'll see them tomorrow." Caroline says softly running her hand through his hair.

"Yeah.. Then I get to show Fred to my baby sister!"

"Yeah, that's so cool!"

"She's gonna like my puppy!  He's mine, but I share!  He can be both of ours!"

"You're such a good big brother, Grayson!"

"He's a pretty great little brother too." James smiles.

Grayson looks at James and giggles as he jumps on top of him and screams with excitement.

"Tickle fight!" Caroline straddles James and tickles both boys.

The next morning.

"Time to go home, Novies!" Jessica says buttoning her little onesie.

Danny stands behind her and rubs her back.

"Can you believe our little love bug is here."

"It's so crazy.. This is our love bug! The one we've been talking about for months! The one that kicked like crazy!  The one that made mommy as big as a house! *Laughs* The one that was conceived in Paris. How cool is that?!"

"It's pretty cool, babe." Danny chuckles.

"When we get home, Jane is supposed to take a few newborn pictures for us!"

"Awesome! Her little outfit is in the nursery waiting for her." Jessica smiles and Danny kisses her cheek before he takes over dressing the baby.

He put her pink with little hearts leggings on over her Lovebug onesie, then put her hat on.
Nova made cute baby noises and stuck her hands in her mouth.

"She's so beautiful." Jessica smiles as she sits down beside her.

"I know. Are you ready to go home, Nova?"

She looks at Danny with wide eyes.

Jessica laughs and says, "She like, what are you talking about, daddy?!"

"You little cutie pie!" Danny bends down and kisses her.

"I'm gonna feed her before we head out."

"Alright. You ready to eat, Novies? Hm? Want some milkies?"

Danny carefully picks her up and kisses her head, then hands her to Jessica.

"Come to mama, sweet girl!"

Nova latches on immediately and hums cutely while she eats.

"Oh poor baby! Does mama just starve you?" Jessica giggles as she softly caresses her cheek.

"We're home!" Jessica smiles as she walks in holding the baby in her arms.

"They're home!" Grayson runs to the front door.

"YOU'RE HOME!  YOU'RE HOME!"

"We're home, bud!" Danny picks him up and Grayson hugs him tightly.

"Hey!" Sam says loudly.

"Shh!  She's sleeping, Samuel!" Grayson narrows his brows at his brother.

Jessica laughs and walks over to the couch to sit down.

"How are you feeling?" Tiffany asks Jessica.

"I feel okay.  Thank you for asking.
Oh!  Did you let Fred smell the baby's blanket last night so that he kinda got the idea of what was going on?  Why Mommy's tummy was so big?" She chuckles.

"We did!"

"Can he see her, mommy?  Since I got home I've been telling him that Nova is coming home today, and that she's sooooo cute!"

"Awe baby, that's sweet!  Yes, you can go get Fred."

"Okay!" He smiles and jumps off the couch.

Grayson holds his puppy in his hands and speaks in a soft voice.

"Fred, this is Nova.  Nova, this is Fred.
He won't hurt you cause he's just a little doggy, and she won't hurt you cause she's just a little baby!"

Grayson moves him close to the baby and he sniffs her.

"He likes her new smell!" Grayson smiles, and Jessica laughs at his cuteness.

"Fred's giving her kisses, mommy!" He giggles.

"Oh such a sweet boy!"

"Yeah!  I'm gonna put him down now so he won't eat her."

"He won't eat her, baby." Jessica laughs.

"Just being safe!"

"Well that's very smart of you, Gray."

After taking a few pictures in her going home outfit, Jessica changes Nova into her little outfit they had made for her.

"Look at the little love bug!"

"Oh my goodness!  She's the cutest little baby I've ever seen!" Jane baby talks and kisses Nova's cheek.

"Lay her down over there, Jess." She points to a small basket

Jessica lays her down and Jane laughs.

"Jessica, what is that?!"

"Well I don't know how you want me to lay her down!"

"It's fine, I'll fix her. *Chuckles* What did mommy do?  Hm?  What did she do, pretty girl?" Jane baby talks while fixing the baby as she sleeps peacefully.

"Man, she's a deep sleeper!"

"She's probably saving all her energy for tonight!" Danny laughs.

"Oh I'm sure!" Jessica nods.

"I really like how you guys incorporated the whole love bug thing throughout your entire pregnancy, and now her birth announcement!"

"Thank you!" Jessica smiles.

"Also take note of the subtle rainbow colors!  She's a rainbow baby, so we had to add that in there as well." Danny says.

"Wow, you guys are so creative!"

"Thanks!" Jessica and Danny both say with a cheeky smile.
