I combined two chapters into one so that I could at least do one more chapter on this book.

Danny took Jessica upstairs and laid her down on the bed. 

"Danny, those two shouldn't have been drinking!"

"I know, baby."

"Danny, my baby's married!"

"I know, it's crazy."

"It's stupid!!"

"I know.."

"I'm his mother!  I wasn't even there to see my own baby get married."

"Well if it helps, I don't think he even remembers it."

"That so does NOT Help!" Jessica hits his shoulder with her fist.

"I'm sorry, baby.  I know nothing I say will make you feel better.."

Jessica lets a sob out so Danny pulls her close and holds her in his arms.

"Honey, don't cry.. It's okay, baby.."

Jessica eventually cried herself to sleep.  Danny came downstairs and the boys were all still there.

"Okay, she's napping."

"Danny, thanks for that, man-"

"Sam, I know I acted cool, and yes I am happy for you too, but you all need to cool it on the drinking."

"It was Vegas, dad!" Zachary says.

"I know and I understand having fun, but a marriage!  All of you must have been beyond wasted.  I'm disappointed in you guys."

"Yeah!  Me too!" Grayson stands beside his father with his arms crossed.

Danny looks down and chuckles. "Gray, go finish your sandwich."

"Mr. Huston, you're right.  We behaved like irresponsible teenagers." Caroline says.

"I'm sorry we disappointed you, Danny.. We were just having fun.." Michael says.

"Yeah.. I know mom is upset and I feel bad.. Can I go up and talk to her?" Zachary asks.

"Oh God NO!  Please don't wake her!"

"Ooh!  I'm gonna tell mommy!" Grayson laughs.

Christmas.

"Merry Christmas Novies!  Are you ready to see what Santa brought you?!" Jessica gets the baby out of her crib.

She kisses her cheek and lightly bounces her.

"Let's go wake up your brother."

"IT'S CHRISTMAS!  IT'S CHRISTMAS!" She hears Grayson running through the hall.

"Sounds like he's up!"

All of the kids had spent the night at the house so they could be together on Christmas morning.

"This is your gift, baby sister!" Grayson sits one of her presents down in front of her.

Nova looks at it with confusion.

"Haha!  She's puzzled, mommy!"

"She is!" Jessica giggles.

"You're so smart, Gray!" Tiffany says.

"My mommy says that word!"

"Your mommy does say that, doesn't she!" She laughs.

"Ahh!" Nova shouts with excitement as she hits her gift.

"Novies, do you want mama to help you open your present?"

"Can I help her, momma?"

"Sure baby!"

Grayson opens her present and Nova bounces with excitement.

"Look!  You got a toy, Nova!  Isn't that cool!"

Nova giggles and kicks her little legs.

"Mommy, she's so happy!"

"She is!  Nova, you're such a happy baby!!"

"Meanwhile, look at Samuel." James chuckles and points to baby Samuel.

"Heh!  He didn't sleep much last night." Tiffany says.

"He never does."  Sam adds. 

"Hmh!  He's a bit grump this. morning."

"Awe!  Cheer up, baby!  It's Christmas!"

Samuel hears his grandmother speaking to him and he cracks a smile.

"Oh Gigi made him smile!" Tiffany says as the baby just stares at Jessica.

Later that day their family came over.  Everyone was having a great time, but Danny noticed Jessica was a bit quiet.

"Hey honey, you okay?"

"Yeah, I just have a headache." Jessica pouts.

"I'm sorry." Danny puckers his lips.

Jessica chuckles and kisses him.

"My stomach is doing flips, I'm so nervous."

"About what?"

"Sam and Tiffany are about to tell everyone they're married.  I'm just worried about how everyone is going to react."

"Well no need to make yourself sick over it."

"I know.."

Danny wraps his arms around her and holds her tight.

"I love my little Jessikins!" He lightly shakes her.

Jessica stays quiet for a while.

"... Danny, I think I'm pregnant."

Danny froze.  He didn't know what to do.  They were done having babies.

"You what?"

"I think I'm pregnant." Jessica looks up to him with tears in her eyes.

"How.. how did this happen?"

Jessica rolls her eyes and slightly pushes him away.

"But we we're careful!"

"Well I don't know for sure, I just haven't been feeling well."

"Have you taken a test?"

"Yeah.."

"Oh God!" Danny runs his hand through his hair.

"It was the one with the lines.  There were two but it was faint.  I have an appointment to see the Doctor on Wednesday."

"I can't believe this!"

"Calm down, Daniel!  We don't know!"

Danny sighs and rubs his head.

"I wonder if this means we're gonna have another grandchild.  You know.. Apparently we're just gonna pop one out with the kids. To.. try to stay young!!"

"Danny, I knew you'd start acting stupid!  Just forget I told you.  I'm probably not even pregnant!"

"Pregnant!  Mommy's pregnant?!" Grayson overheard his parents.

"No Grayson-"

"YOU GUYS!!" Grayson takes off running.

"Grayson stop!"

Jessica and Danny chase after him.

"Guys!  My mommy's pregnant!"

"Grayson!"

"What?!  My baby's having another baby!" Dorothy smiles.

"Mom?!" Zachary's eyes widen.

"Again?!  Jesus Danny, get off of her!" Sam says.

"What are you two going for the world record?" Albert asks.

"Oh Al, stop that!  I'm happy for you, baby!"

"Mom, I'm not pregnant." Jessica nods.

"What?  But mommy, you said!"

"I didn't say that, baby."

"No, she just thinks she is."

"Daniel!" Jessica widens her eyes and smacks his arm.

"Mom.. pregnant?  Again!" James says.

"Honey, I'm not pregnant.  I thought I was but I'm not."

"I knew you looked thick!"

"Samuel, I will beat you!"

"Jessie, I can't believe this!"

"I'm not pregnant!"

"But you might be!"

"Yeah well.. I hate all this attention!  Sam and Tiffany got married!" Jessica blurts out then gasps and covers her mouth.

"MOM!"

"Oh baby, I'm so sorry!  I didn't mean to blurt it out!"

"You what!" Ann shouts.

"Heh!!   Heh!.. We..  We.. Mom, I hope you are pregnant and I hope to God it's fucking King Kong coming out of you!"

"Stop it!" Jessica yells with tears in her eyes.

"They were drunk and got married dressed as Elvis Presley and Marylin Monroe!"

"Mom!"

"Samuel!" Dorothy gasps.

"I'm sorry, grandma!"

"Don't forget the reception!  I have pictures!" James smiles.

"You shut up!" Jessica tells him.

"It's Nova's first Christmas and you all are ruining it!" Grayson yells.

"He's right!  It's Christmas!  We shouldn't be yelling like this!  Now everyone shut the hell up and be pleasant!!
Someone give me a damn bottle of vodka!"

"You can't do that Jess, you're pregnant!" Jane says.

"I AM NOT PREGNANT!!"

Wednesday.

"I'm so nervous, I'm making myself sick!"

"Morning sickness, sick?"

"Just sick, Daniel!"

"Sorry!"

Jessica sighs. "I'm sorry.. it's just that I think I know.."

"You know what?"

"That I want a damn tuna fish sandwich! What the hell do you think?! I know I'm pregnant!"

"Oh! You really think so?"

"Maybe.. I don't know! Can we just leave, please?!"

"Sure. I'll go get the baby."

Jessica sat there waiting for the doctor. Nova was being very fussy and wasn't calming down for Danny.

"Give her to me." Jessica holds her hands out.

"What's wrong, Nova? Why are you being so fussy? Hand me her binky, babe."

Danny hands it to her and Jessica sticks it in her mouth.

"Shh, shh.. you're okay." Jessica bounces her and Nova starts to calm down.

"How is she fine now? Does she know there's nothing in that nipple?"

"Heh! It's cause she's in mama's arms, Danny!"

"Oh right!" Danny smiles.

The doctor walks in and chuckles. "Back again, Jessica?"

"Heh! Yep!"

"Well given your history with ovarian cysts, I'm gonna skip the pregnancy test and just see if we can tell with an ultrasound. That we check on both at the same time."

"Okay great!"

Jessica lays back and lifts her shirt.

"You want me to take her, baby?"

"No it's okay, she's fine." Jessica smiles down at the baby laying on her chest.

"Ah! What am I doing? Thinking I'm pregnant with a little baby! Daniel, I swear I'm making an appointment for you to get fixed!"

The doctor chuckles. He scans her stomach and Danny and Jessica watch the screen.

"No baby, at least none I can see!"

"Oh thank God!" Jessica takes a sigh of relief.

"That's awesome! That means me pulling out is working and there's no need to get fixed!" Danny smiles.

"Yeah no! You're getting fixed, honey!"

"But Jess!"

"It's done, Daniel."

Danny pouts and looks down.

Jessica rolls her eyes. "Don't be a baby, Daniel!"

"Kids, I'm not pregnant! You can all relax. Everyone was so worried you'd think I was always leaving my child with you." Jessica looks at Sam.

"Hey I appreciate that you watch my son! Besides, I was the one that said I hoped you were pregnant!"

"Yeah with King Kong! You wished me a birth from hell!"

"Yeah.. Sorry about that." Sam smiles.

Jessica smirks and taps him.

"You're not having a baby, momma?"

"No Gray, sorry."

"Oh.. Can I have a cat?"

"You have a sister."

Grayson laughs. "Uhm.. Alright!" He smiles and walks away.

New Years Eve.

Sarah, Evan, the kids, and James and Caroline all came over.

"So four days till your one year anniversary! Do you two have anything special planned?" Sarah asks.

"Well we're both working." Caroline pouts.

"Yes but I will make it up to this pretty girl with THE most romantic dinner." James wraps his arm around her and kisses her cheek.

"Awe! My hubby is the sweetest! Isn't he sweet?"

"Yes he is! You two are so cute! Aren't they?" Sarah chuckles and looks at Tiffany and Sam who looked unimpressed.

"Well you two look thrilled!" Jessica laughs.

"We're not all lovey like those two. We have a baby that hates us, so.."

"He doesn't hate you! He just hates for you two be together."

"It's true. She and I were playing video games last night and he was so quiet. I kissed her and things were really going somewhe-"

"Samuel!" Tiffany elbows him.

"Things were happening! Well he was screaming bloody murder! The moment was over and I went to bed completely unsatisfied.. Again."

Tiffany rolls her eyes. "We don't sound like a newly married couple, do we?" She says as she and Sam laugh.

"Newly married? What!"

"Oh I forgot! They're married!" Jessica laughs.

"You didn't tell me that! What! When did this happen?! Where was it?! Why wasn't I invited?!"

"Don't worry, I wasn't either." Jessica says.

"Mom!"

"What!"

Jessica smiles.

"I have pictures!!" James hums.

"Oh shut up!" Sam says.

Valentine's Day.

"Look at my two little Valentine's! My handsome handsome boy and my beautiful little Lovebug!"

"I look good! All the girls are gonna love me!"

"Oh Gray, stop that!"

"It's true, momma!" Grayson laughs.

"You are too much, Mr. GQ!"

"Yes I know." Grayson smirks and fixes his shirt.

Jessica laughs.

"Ahh!" Nova screams.

"What is it with you and screaming for no reason?"

Nova looks up to her mother with a big smile.

"You pretty girl!" Jessica leans forward and kisses her.

"Ready for school, Gray?"

"Yep! Drop me off in the front. I'll walk in by myself."

"Grayson! You will not!"

"But I look so good!"

"Cool yourself off, little mister!" Jessica laughs.

A week later.

"Novies, crawl to mama, baby girl!"

Nova laughs as she crawls to Jessica.

"Oh my goodness, you're gonna catch me! You're gonna catch me!"

She laughs harder and crawls faster.

"Good job, Princess!" Jessica picks her up and kisses her chubby cheek.

"You want some food?"

Nova kicks her legs and playfully slaps her hands on her mother.

"I'll take that as a yes! Come on, let's go eat big girl food!"

Jessica was trying to get Nova to eat more solids, but Nova never enjoyed it.
Jessica sat down with her and held her bowl of mashed up food in her hand.
Nova stoped her happy little giggle and crinkled her nose.

"Oh don't make that face! It's good!"

Nova arches her back in her high chair and starts fussing.

"Nuh-uh, none of that!"

"Ahh! Ahh!"

"What are you doing to the Princess?!" Sam walks in and baby talks to Nova.

"I'm trying to feed her but your sister thinks I'm torturing her."

Sam laughs. "Nova, it's good! Much better than sucking on a boob!
... Wait I need to correct myself. Much better than sucking on Mom's boob!"

"Oh stop it!" Jessica hits his arm.

Sam laughs and gets food ready for Samuel.

"You guys coming to James' tonight?"

"Yep!"

"Oh Good!" Jessica smiles.

"I just hate when Tiff gets all upset after we go over."

"Why does she get upset?"

"Because we don't have a house. She thinks I need to grow up and put a roof over her head. What is that about?!" Sam scoffs.

"Well.. She has a point, babe."

"What? Mom, we're happy here!"

"And I'm very happy that you are, honey! But eventually you'll have to get your own home."

"Are you kicking me out?"

"No! I'm just saying.. Set a goal for yourself and work your butt off until that goal is achieved!!"

"Okay..
Mommy I'm scared!"

"Awe baby, don't be! I believe in you." Jessica smiles.

"Thanks." He smiles and walks over to give her a hug.

"I have such a sweet boy!" Jessica rubs his back. No matter how old they were, they were still her babies.

James cooked a nice dinner and afterwards they all sat around talking.
Jessica loved how close her and her children were.

"Hey guys, Zach and Mike are on the phone, say hi!"

"Hi my babies! Let me see them!" Jessica yanks James' phone away from him.

"Hi mom!"

"Hi!" Jessica's voice went high pitched.

"How's school? Are you studying hard?"

"Of course! How is everyone?"

"Good!"

"Mom, let me see that.. Caroline wanted to talk to all of you."

Jessica pouts when he yanks the phone away from her.

"What's up, bro?" Zachary asks.

"Well uh.. Caroline and I just wanted to let everyone know that there's a little Shepard on the way!"

"No way!"

"AHHHH!" Jessica screamed.

"You're pregnant?!" She asks.

"Yeah!" Caroline giggles.

Jessica hugs her tight.

"Oh my gosh, I'm gonna have another little grand baby! I'm so happy!"

"Congratulations, bud." Danny smiles and hugs James.

"Thank you!"

"How far along are you?" Tiffany asks after hugging Caroline.

"I'll be thirteen weeks tomorrow!"

"Thirteen weeks, wow! Sam, you're gonna have a little cousin!" Tiffany bounces him lightly on her hip.

"Grayson, you're gonna have a new little niece or nephew!" Jessica says with excitement.

"Awesome! Sissy, did you hear that?! We're gonna be an aunt and uncle AGAIN!"

Jessica laughs.
Nova smiled at Grayson and chewed on her little hands.

"I think she's happy!" Grayson smiles up to Caroline.

"Well good!" She chuckles.

"Good job, James! You got a baby in her tummy!" Grayson gives him a thumbs up.

"Thanks, Gray!" He laughs.

Sam hugs James. "Congratulations, brother. You're gonna make a great dad."

"Thanks, Sam." James smiles.

"Mommy, why are you crying? It's a happy time! Caro and James are having a baby! Or maybe BABIES!" His eyes widen and he gasps.

"No no, we saw it! There's just one!" James chuckles.

Jessica laughs and wipes her tears.

"I'm just happy, baby... I love my family." She smiles softly and looks around at all the beautiful faces.

"We have all been to hell and back.. but we're okay. We're great! Together we can get through anything life throws at us. At fourteen daddy and I started this little family... We were terrified but we somehow became so strong when life really hit us hard. Losing him.. it was the most difficult thing.. but look at us now.." Jessica smiles with tears slowly falling down her cheeks.

"He would be so proud of you boys.. He is so proud.
Danny and I are proud of you all as well.. You boys make us happy mommy's and daddy's." Jessica chuckles.
