"Are you Mrs. Shepard's family?"

Jessica's family immediately stands up when they see the doctor walk out.

"Yes! How is she?"

She's coming out of anesthesia right now."

"How's the baby?"

"We just checked him on the ultrasound, he seems to be just fine." The doctor smiles.

"Oh thank you, Jesus!" Dorothy touches her chest.

"Can we see her?" Jane asks.

"Maybe just a few at a time for right now.  She's still a little loopy."

"Okay!  Boys.. Do you guys wanna go in?"

"I'll let you go in first, grandma.  Just in case." Sam says.

"Yeah me too." Michael agrees.

"Okay.  Who else wants to go?"

"I'll go." James says before Jane tags along.

"Yeah, I'll go too."

They slowly walk into the room and Jessica has a goofy look on her face.

"Hi mommy!" She says clearly out of it.

"Hi baby!" Dorothy giggles.

"Hi mom.  You feelin okay?" James asks.

"I feel great!  But I have put on quite a few pounds, what is this?!  Look at my big ol' belly!" Jessica squeezes her stomach tight.

"Watch it, sweetie!  Carful with the baby!" Dorothy grabs her wrist and pulls her hands off her stomach.

*Gasp*

"There's a baby in there?!" Her eyes widen.

"Oh boy, she is out of it!" Jane smiles.

"Heh.. Yes sweetie, there's a baby in there.  A baby boy." Dorothy smiles.

"Oh my gosh!  Does Sam know?!"

Dorothy, Jane and James all look at each other as Jessica waits for an answer.

"He knows, baby."

"He does?  Well it woulda been nice if someone had told me!"

"What's wrong with her?" James asks.

"Nothing is wrong with me, little boy!" Jessica says in a funny voice as she points her finger at him.

"I've heard of anesthesia doing this.  I'll talk to the doctor." Dorothy say quietly.

"Forget about the doctor!  Where is my huzbannnnd?"

Again, they all stay silent not knowing what to say.

"Baby girl, why don't you get some rest?" Dorothy tucks her in.

"No wait!  Why am I in the hospital?  *Gasp*  am I having the baby?!  PUSH!" Jessica lifts her legs in the air.

Dorothy pats them for her to lay them back on the bed and says, "No, you're not having the baby yet.  You just had to have a procedure done."

"Was it my boobs?" She says in a loud whisper.

"No." Dorothy chuckles.

"Really?" She looks down.

"This is just me?  All natural?  Damn, they're pretty hot!" She grabs them and smiles.

"Jessie, you need to sleep, baby girl."

"Alright!  I guess I am a little tired." She giggles and gets comfortable in bed.

Dorothy kisses her forehead and says, "Sleep tight, my precious girl."

They all walk towards the door, and Jessica rests her eyes.

"If you see my Sammy, send him up to me, please.

I miss him.." She says with a soft smile on her face and her eyes closed.

Their hearts break, and Dorothy fights back tears.

"I will, baby."
