A couple days later.

George always takes Jessica out for lunch, and today she wanted Chick-fil-a.

"How are you feeling? You know, since the surgery?"

"I good! I'm back to normal." She smiles.

"Well that's good. Jess, you don't know how worried I was. When I heard that you had.. You know, cancer... I just wanted to scream.

You're my big sister, and I love you. Yeah growing up I hated your guts, but you've grown one me.. Like a rash."

"Thanks?" Jessica laughs.

He chuckles and says, "That was a compliment!"

"You've always had a way with words, Georgie!" She laughs.

"Yep!"

"So Jess, I was gonna ask, are you having a baby shower?"

"No, I don't think so."

"Why not?!"

"Well, baby showers are for first time moms, and I don't know, I just don't want one."

"They're not just for first time moms, besides it'll be good for you to have one!

It's been so long since you've had a baby, that you need everything! People wanna buy it for you, so you might as well take advantage of it!"

"Yeah, I guess so..

Oh gosh! George, that reminds me! Look at this crib I found on Pinterest!" Jessica gets her phone out and looks for the picture.

"Look! Can you imagine my little man in that?!" She smiles and shows him.

"Awe! I can!" He smiles.

"It even turns into a big boy bed!"

*Chuckles*  "You should put that on your baby registry!"

"I'm not gonna ask someone to spend a thousand dollars on a crib!

... I guess he doesn't need a crib, he'll probably just sleep with me. I really want to decorate his own little room for him, but it isn't the same."

"Jess come on, Sam would want you to do it."

"Yeah... But there's not even room!  I need an extra room in the house." She looks down with a sad look.

"Why don't you use Sam's room?"

"But that's His room."

"But wouldn't it be special if it was the baby's room?

You've been wanting to clear out some of it, why not just clear it all out, then it will be Sam and the baby's room."

A soft smile appears on Jessica's face, and she says, "Well I guess that would be cool to give him Sam's room!"

"Yeah, wouldn't it? And I'll help you clean everything out. We can paint it, and make it really nice for him."

"Grayson." Jessica smiles.

A happy look appears on George's face.

"Is that his name?!"

"Mhm!" She nods.

"Awe Jess, I love it!"

"Thank you! Sam picked it I guess you could say. He always threw that name out when we were deciding on the boys names."

"That's really cool, Jess!"

"Thanks." She smiles.

After lunch, they went back to the office.

George opened the door and moved to the side so that Jessica could go in first.

She looked down at her phone and sipped on her tea, then slowly looked up and was surprised at what she saw.

Her jaw drops and her eyes widen.

"George!"

"Surprise, Sis!" He smiles.

"Did you do this?!"

"Uh huh!" George nods.

He bought her the crib Jessica had loved.

"George, you didn't have to do this!"

"I wanted to!"

"How did you even know?  I just told you!"

"Samantha follows you on Pinterest." He chuckles.

"Oh my gosh, this is the sweetest thing ever!" Jessica hugs him tight.

"But it's too much money!" She looks up at him.

"Jessica it's a gift, say thank you." He laughs.

"Thank you so so much, George!" She hugs him again and lays her head on him.

"You're welcome, Jess!  I'll take it to the house for you, and once we get his office cleared out, I'll put it up."

"You are so sweet!"

"I am." He nods, making her laugh.

"Michael!  Look what uncle George bought!"

"The new Xbox!" Michael jumps up off the couch.

"No a crib!" Jessica smiles.

"Oh... Yaay.." He fakes a smile.

"Stop that!  It's for your baby brother!" She taps his chest.

"I really want an Xbox.." He looks down.

"I know, Michael.

Just put it there, George!  Ah!  Thank you again!  I really appreciate this!"

"Anytime, sis!  I'm happy you like it." He smiles.

"I love it!" She jumps up, then runs over to hug him again.

George chuckles and hugs her back.

October 7th. 30 weeks pregnant.

After church, everyone went over to Sam's mothers house for lunch.

"Jessica, you're getting so big!  He's coming fast!" Jane holds the sides of her stomach in her calms.

"I know!  It's crazy!"

"Are going to birthing classes?"

"No, I've had three kids!" Jessica looks at her like she's crazy.

"Yeah but it's been fourteen years!"

"Damn that's a long time!" A slightly concerned look appears on Jessica's face.

"Hah!  Yeah!  I'm just saying, maybe it's a good idea to go.  It's been close to twenty years since you first gave birth."

"Would you stop making me sound old!"

"Heh!  I'm not, I'm just saying that, birthing classes would be good for you.  I'll even go with you!" She smiles.

"I'm good, thanks."

Jane laughs and says, "I'm sure they've improved technics, and maybe you'll find something that helps you.  Every birth is different, and it's good to know any type of natural pain relievers."

"Hah!  Natural pain relievers.. That's a load of bull!"

"It would be fun to at least go!"

"Eh, maybe!  I don't know, it's gonna hurt no matter what they teach me.  There's no Magical technic!"

"You're so stubborn." Jane laughs.

"Yes I am, now let's go eat!"

As they are, Jessica said, "You guys, I just wanted to let you know that little guy has a name!" She smiles.

"What is it?!" Everyone gets excited.

"I've known for almost three weeks!" George says.

"Hah!  Yep, but not his full name!" She smirks.

"Jessica, tell us!" Dorothy demands.

*Giggles*

"Alright." Jessica stands up and holds her bump.

"Everyone say hello to, Grayson George Shepard." She smiles.

George's jaw drops and his eyes water.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes!  You have helped me so so much and I really appreciate it. 

Little guy does to." She looks down and rubs her belly, before she looks up to George and smiles.

"Awe! Hi little George!" He smiles at her bump as he places his hand on the side of it."

"That's what I'm gonna call him!" He looks at Jessica with a big smile.

"Go ahead!" She chuckles.

"Aw.. Jess, thank you so much!"

"Thank You, George!"
