The next morning.

"Danny, wake up!" Jessica lightly shakes him.

"Wakey wakey, birthday boy!" She softly kisses his cheek over and over again.

"Mmm.."

Jessica giggles and says, "Daniel!"

"What?" He mumbles.

"Happy Birthday!"

"Thanks baby." He slowly opens his eyes and smiles softly.

"Our wonderful son's made breakfast!"

"That's sweet!"

"Mhm! You hungry?"

Danny smirks and says, "I'm hungry for a lot of things, baby."

"Danny!" Jessica laughs and taps his chest.

"It's not mama's day anymore?" Grayson asks Zachary.

"Well everyday can be mama's day, she certainly deserves it. But today is also daddy's birthday!"

"Daddy's birthday?!" His eyes widen.

"Yeah!"

"DADDY! DADDY! DADDY!" Grayson runs to the stairs as quick as he can just as Jessica and Danny were coming down.

"Heh! Hey buddy!"

"Daddy, it's your birthday! Happy Birthday!!" He jumps up so Danny can him up.

"Thank you very much, Grayson!" He kisses his
cheek.

"I love you!" Grayson wraps his arms around his neck and holds him tightly.

"Awe Gray, I love you more!"

"No, I love YOU more!"

"Not possible, little dude." Danny says with a smile.

Jessica smiles and pats Grayson's back.

"You are such a sweet daddy.
... and Grayson, you're such a sweet boy! And so are your brothers! Man, something smells good!"

"There's eggs, momma!" Grayson pops his head up and gives her a big smile.

"Yummy!  Did you make them?"

"Mhm!" He nods.

"Oh wow, I'm impressed!" Jessica giggles.

"Sorry we're late for breakfast, but little man is quite a bit of work!" Sam says holding the baby.

"Not my grandson!" Danny says.

"Yes your grandson! He's a little pain!"

"Don't say that about my baby!" Jessica pouts and holds her hands out so Sam can hand him to her.

Jessica takes him and in a baby voice she says, "Come to grandma, precious! What's that? I look to young to be a grandma? Oh you are just the sweetest little boy!" She says giving him a kiss.

Sam chuckles, then turns to Danny and says, "Happy Birthday, Danny."

"Thanks, son!" Danny stands up and gives him a hug.

"Happy Birthday! So what do you have planned for today?" Tiffany asks.

"Well Jessie has a doctors appointment, so we're gonna do that, then I guess we'll get some lunch and head back home. I don't wanna go too crazy. I am an old man now after all." He chuckles.

*Laughs* "How old are you today?"

"Thirty seven."

"Oh wow, SO old!" Tiffany jokes.

"Okay well maybe I'm not old, but I do have a pregnant wife and I'm lazy."

She laughs and pats his back before taking her seat.

"Honey, do you think after church tomorrow you can paint the baby's room?" Jessica asks randomly.

"Yes! Oh gosh, I feel so horrible that that isn't finished yet!"

"It's okay!"

"I'll call George over and he can help me get the room ready later today."

"Not today! Tomorrow! Today is your birthday!" She smiles.

"Well I wanna get it done as soon as possible."

"Honey, one day later will be okay." Jessica chuckles.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" Grayson suddenly shouts.

"What? What? What?"

"Can I go with you to see the baby? I wanna see my baby sister! Little Nova! That's her name, mommy!"

"Heh, I know! Yes, sweetie, you're going with us!"

"Yay!"

After breakfast Jessica, Danny and Grayson all got ready to go to the doctors appointment.

"Jessica." The nurse calls.

"Hey that's my mommy's name!" Grayson shouts jumping out of his chair.

Jessica laughs and Danny helps her up.

They all go to the back, and Jessica sits on the examination table.

The nurse checks her blood pressure, then asks her to step up on the scale.

"Oh I don't want to get on that." Jessica nods.

The nurse laughs and says, "Oh it's okay!"

She pouts and steps on the scale.

"YOWZA! I've never seen it go that high before!"

"Heh! You're perfectly normal, Mrs. Huston.
Go ahead and take your underwear off, then get under the sheet. Your doctor should be in in a few minutes."

"Thank you." Jessica smiles.

Jessica lifts her dress up a little and pulls her underwear down.

"No mommy! Put your panties back on!" Grayson laughs and grabs his head as he nods it.

She chuckles and says, "Grayson, remember what mommy said? The doctor is going to look at an area that doctors ONLY are allowed to look at! Don't go to school on Monday trying to do the same thing."

*Danny chuckles*

"Got it!" He smiles and gives her a thumbs up.

"Good!"

"Hello, Mrs. Shepard! How are you feeling today?"

"Exhausted.. Swollen.. Sweaty.. Gross.. Huge! *Sighs* You?"

"Well a lot better than that!"

Jessica laughs and he lifts her dress above her belly.

"Alright, let's measure this girl."

The doctor measures Jessica's belly and Grayson walks over and looks up.

"Hi!  I'm Grayson!" He waves to the doctor.

"Hi!  How are you today, Grayson?"

"I'm good!  I had a banana with my breakfast!"

"That's awesome!" The doctor chuckles.

"What are you doing to my mommy?  Why are you touching her belly?"

"Because right now I'm measuring your little sister."

"Oh!  Is she small?"

"No, I'd say she's a pretty good size." The doctor smiles.

"Good job, mommy!" He smiles to Jessica and gives her a thumbs up, cause that's currently one of his favorite things to do.

"Thank you, baby." Jessica laughs. 

"Here, Grayson.  How about you stand on this stool so you can see better?"

"Yeah!"

Danny helps him up onto the stool and Grayson smiles down to Jessica.

"Hi, mommy!" He waves.

"Hi, baby!"

The doctor chuckles and asks, "Have you had any contractions?"

"I have. Nothing bad though, they're been very mild. I've just been really uncomfortable." She says as the doctor presses his hands into her stomach.

Grayson watches him and smiles before he places his hands on his mother's stomach and bounces up and down as he pats her belly like he was playing with dough.

"Grayson." Jessica laughs.

"Heh! He's okay. Good job, Dr. Grayson."

"Thank you!" He giggles.

*Chuckles* "So Jessica, the baby is head down, so that's good! She is however still pretty high."

"I've noticed." Jessica says with a blank face.

"Using a birthing ball will really help, also you could maybe go on a walk to help try to get things to start up."

"Okay."

The doctor continues talking and Grayson bends forward and kisses her belly.

"Oh goodness, please excuse my little protector." Jessica rubs his back.

"Oh he's fine!  He's a sweet boy." He says looking at Grayson, who was laying his head on her stomach with a big smile on his face.

Jessica chuckles and Grayson says, "My baby sister moves a lot!  Feel it!"

"I felt her when I was touching your mommy's tummy, she's strong, isn't sh-"

"FEEL IT!"

"Okay!" The doctor plays his hand on Jessica's stomach.

"Grayson, we don't yell!" Jessica says.

"It's okay.  Oh wow, she does move a lot!"

"Yeah, she wants to come out!"

"Oh gosh, don't say vagina again!" Jessica thinks to herself.

"I think so too, Grayson! *Chuckles* Alright, Jessica, go ahead and put your legs in the stirrups, I'm going to check to see if you're dilated."

"Grayson, come sit with me, bud."

Grayson turns to Danny and says, "No thank you!"

Danny laughs and Grayson watches what the doctor is doing to his mother.

"No.. Why he's... Why is this happening?" He says in a low voice as he grabs his face in his hands.

"Shh!" Jessica laughs.

"I don't like it!  Mommy, that's your vagina!" Grayson leans close to Jessica face and whisperers.

Danny was trying so hard to hold his laughter in.

"Gray, remember what I told you?"

"But it's your vagina!" He whispers a little louder.

"Shh!"

Grayson hops off the stool and runs to the doctor.

"Get out of my mommy's vagina!"

"Grayson!" Jessica's face went red and her eyes go wide.

"Ahh!  Mommy, I saw it!" Grayson closes his eyes, then puts his hands over them.

"Oh my gosh!  Grayson George Shepard, get over here!"

"I wanted to see my sister, not my mommy's vagina, now I think I'm gonna throw up!"

"Please excuse him!" Jessica chuckles nervously.

"He has older brother, and they teach him words.. and little Grayson really took a liking to that specific word.. I'm sorry."

The doctor laughs and says, "It's okay!  I have kids and I completely understand.  You're not dilated any, by the way."

"Man!"

"I'm sorry.  Things you could do are, like I said, a walk, use the birthing ball, you could try eating spicy foods, and of course sex is very effective."

"Mommy, what's sex?" Grayson looks at Jessica.

Jessica gives the doctor a blank look and says, "Thanks."

"I'm very sorry!  How about I send in the ultrasound tech and you can see your baby?" He smiles.

"Yes, that'd be great.  Thank you!"

"No problem.  Bye, Grayson!"

"Bye!  Oh wait!"

"Yes buddy?"

"Oh gosh, what is he gonna say?" Jessica whines.

"Can I have some gloves?"

"Sure!" He chuckles and hands Grayson a new pair of gloves just like his.

"Thank you!"

"No problem, Dr. Shepard!" He says making Grayson laugh.

Grayson sits on the ground and Jessica looks at Danny who was laughing.

"It's not funny!"

"Oh but it is!" He laughs harder.

"Alright, little buddy, are you ready to see your baby sister?"

"Yes!"

Grayson was back on the stool, but now he had his doctor gloves on.

He rubbed Jessica's belly and bounced up and down, smiling at her.

"You are such a little mess!" She laughs.

The woman squirts gel on Jessica's belly and starts the 3D ultrasound.

"Oh my gosh! That's her!
Danny, look at her little face!" Jessica tears up.

"Awe, my princess! Baby, she looks like you!"

Jessica smiles and takes his hand.

"She looks scary." Grayson says.

"Grayson, she does not!"

"I mean, I think she's cute! I just think she looks kinda scary."

"She won't be that color when she comes out, bud." Danny chuckles.

"Oh! *Laughs* Mommy look!  When I talked to her she smiled!"

"Well cause she loves her big brother!" Jessica smiles.

"Yeah! *Giggles* Oh she's yawning!  Nova, are you tired, baby girl?" Grayson speaks in a baby voice as he softly caresses her belly.

Jessica smiles and can't help but cry watching her children.

"Poke!  Poke!  Haha! She kicked me when I poked her!  I felt it and saw it!"

"How cool is that, bud?" Danny smiles.

"It's SO cool, daddy!" He says making his parents chuckle.

"I love our family, Jess."

"Me too, baby." Jessica softly smiles before he kisses her lips.

"No give ME a kiss, mommy!"

"Okay!" Jessica laughs and Danny lifts him over her so he can give her a kiss.

Danny put Grayson on his hip and he kissed his cheek.

"This is the best birthday ever!"

"Yeah!!" Grayson agrees.

"You little booger!" Danny laughs a hugs him tight.
