"What?  Why do you look worried?" Danny asks when he notices his sister's concern.

"What did you do?  Did you cheat on her?!"

"NO!  No, I would never do that!  I love Jessica!"

"Then what's wrong?"

"I wanna marry her!"

"You do?!"

"Yes!"

"Does she wanna marry you?"

"A few months back she said she did, but she was emotional because I had just been in an accident.  Maybe she's happy with the way our life is and doesn't want to marry me anymore."

"Daniel, why don't you talk to her?"

"Because that takes all the fun out of asking her.  Jessica deserves to be asked in the most beautiful way possible.
But what if she says no?"

"Well that's something you'll have to deal with."

"I need to talk to her dad and sons.. Oh and George too!  I want to make sure everyone's okay with this."

"What are you gonna say?"

"I don't know!  I'm freaking out, Ang!"

Angelica laughs and Danny's gets irritated.

"What's funny?!"

"You're just so in love it tickles me."

"Are you gonna help me or not?"

"I am helping!  I think you should do something nice like buy them all tickets to a game then take them to dinner and explain how much you love Jessica and how with their blessing you would like to ask her to be your wife."

"That sounds good. Do you think I need to talk to the boys separately?"

"Well maybe talk to them in advance about it, I don't know!"

"Angelica?"

"Yeah?"

"That's not all."

"What else?"

Danny takes a deep breath and says, "Jessica wants a baby."

"And you don't?"

"No I do! I want one so bad, Ang!
I just.. I cannot put her though that again. What if she gets pregnant and we loose the baby?" Danny's eyes start to water.

"Losing a child was the worst pain I've ever experienced.. But Ang, the baby was in her! If I hurt, I can't even imagine how much Jessica is hurting.
How do I do that? How do I do that to her? I can't and I won't let it happen."

"Danny, you can't live like that. If Jessica wants to try again and you're sure you do?"

"Yes! I would be so happy to have a little child that is apart of both me and Jessica."

"Well if you both want it, then why not? Everything happens for a reason.. No one knows the future. I say go for it."

"Yeah? Well maybe we get married first, then I bring up a baby. She'd be so happy if I told her we could start trying. Plus, I'd like to at least do it the "Traditional way" at least once." He chuckles.

"You're so stupid!" Angelica laughs and playfully pushes him.

Once everyone left, Danny was more quiet than usual.  It was due to him worrying about the whole asking Jessica's family for her hand in marriage, and the fear of her saying no; but Jessica just thought he was upset with her.

"Are you okay, honey?" She asks him.

"Hm?  Yeah, I'm fine!"

"Why are you so quiet?"

"Uh.. I just.  I have a lot on my mind."

"Well you can talk to me." She says as she starts massaging his back.

"No!  No, I'm okay.  I'm um.. I'm gonna take a shower." He says quickly standing up.

"Oh... Okay."

Danny closed the door and Jessica starts crying.

"Why is he being this way with me?  Maybe I was right.. Maybe Danny is losing interest in me.
That's why he doesn't want to bring a baby into this world because he's gonna leave me."

"Oh fuck him!" Jessica says loudly.

She stands up and marches into the bathroom.

Danny hadn't gotten in yet, he was leaning back against the sink with his head in his hands.

"Fuck you, Daniel Huston!"

Jessica walks up to him and hits him repeatedly.

"Hey!  Stop it!"

"No!  Are gonna leave me?!" She yells.

"Leave you?!  Jessica, no!  Why would ask that?!"

"You're being really weird right now and.." Jessica starts breathing heavily.

"Sweetie, calm down. Breathe." Danny says holding her arms and looking into her eyes.

"No! Get off of me!" She pushes him away.

"Tell me what's wrong!"

"I don't know what's wrong, Daniel!
I go to you and tell you that I want a baby, and you say no! A-Am I not enough for you? Do you blame me for the death of our child? Do you not love me anymore? Are you mad at me? Please tell me what it is, Daniel!"

"Honey no! Shh, shh, shh.." Danny walks over to her and slowly tries hugging her.

Jessica first fights him, then gives up and places her hands on his back.

"Jessica, I do not blame you for losing Felicity.. I'm not mad and I've never been mad at you because of that. I love you so so much and don't you ever question if you're enough for me, because you're all I'll ever need.

Jessica, the reason why I didn't want to have a baby is because I am afraid of it happening again, and I just can't put you through that all over again.
I hurt for our baby everyday, and constantly think about what could have been. It hurts me to think about the pain that must be in. What kind of husband would I be if I did that to you again?"

"Husband?"

"Oh! I-I mean boyfriend?
...Danny? What kind of Danny would I be if I let that happen again."

Jessica can't help but laugh.

"Oh Danny.."

"But seriously.. I would love to have a baby with you, but I don't want you to go through that pain again."

"But what if it doesn't happen, and we're left with this beautiful little baby that we made together."

"Then that would be amazing."

"Yeah?" Jessica smiles.

"Yeah." Danny nods.

Jessica giggles and goes on her tip toes to kiss him.

"So we can try?"

"What if we got married first?"

"What?" Jessica's eyes slightly widen.

"Well this isn't the official proposal, but what if one day we get married, THEN try for a baby?"

"Hm?  Marriage, then the baby carriage?"

"Yeah." Danny chuckles.

"That sounds good!"

"I think so too." He kisses her lips.

"I'm sorry I hit you." She pouts.

"Yeah you beat the hell out of me!" He says making her feel even worse.

"Dannyyyyy!  I feel bad!" She whines.

"It's okay." He chuckles.

"How about I make it up to you?" She asks lowering her eyes to his chest and gently grazing her hands over it.

"Mmm.."

She giggles and slowly pulls his shirt off.

"God you have a sexy body!"

"So do you." Danny pulls her silk night gown off and tosses it on the ground.

Jessica locks her hands around his neck and jumps up and wraps her legs around his body.

Their lips meet and the fire between their legs intensifies.

The day before Thanksgiving.

"Zach, come here, bud." Danny calls him to his bedroom.

"What's up?"

"I wanted to ask how you felt about something."

"Okay?"

"What do you think of Jessie?"

"I like her." He chuckles.

"What do you mean?"

"Like.. What if I asked her to marry me?  Would you be okay with that?"

"Yeah!  Just please don't have anymore kids."

"Why not?"

"Dad, don't you think that woman has been through enough?  I mean four kids!"

"Hey she had them far apart!"

"Still!
... Ouch!"

"Alright, we're skipping steps here! You'd be fine we me marrying her?"

"Of course!"

"Okay!  Go about your day." Danny smiles.

"Okay." Zachary laughs.

He leaves and Danny sighs.

"Now all I need is to talk to her family."

Danny took Jessica's boys out for lunch that day while Jessica was getting her nails done with Sarah.
This was also the first time Jessica sent Grayson with Danny.

"Danny, call me if anything happens, like if he gets hurt, has a poo explosion, throws up, or just misses his mama." She pouts and looks at Grayson.

"I will, baby, but don't worry because everything is gonna be fine!" He smiles.

One hour later.

"Everything is not fine!" Danny panics.

"Danny, it's fine!  Just get his extra change of clothes." Sam says.

"Oh right!
.. Wait.  Wait!  Is that the bag your mom packed and put on the kitchen table?"

"Probably. Where is it?"

"On the kitchen table!" His eyes widen.

"Well great!" Michael says.

"It's fine, mom once packed an emergency diaper bag in my car." Sam gets his keys.

"Oh bless that beautiful woman!"

Sam brings the bag in and hands it to Danny.

"It was a little while back though.. There's no telling how the clothes will fit him." He laughs.

"It's okay!  Anything is better than him being messy! Mommy would not have that, would she, Gray?"

Grayson laughs.

"No she would not!
Come on, let's go change your clothes, Gray."

"No change!" He makes a face.

"Yes change, now come on." Danny scoops him up.

"No Danny!  No Danny!"

"Grayson, stop it!  You want me to do it, Danny?" James asks.

"No, it's fine, I've got it.  Thanks though."

"Okay.  Grayson, be nice to Mr. Danny!"

"Not mister!  Dat Danny!" He laughs.

"Heh!  Alright bud, let's go.

This is why mama doesn't give you chocolate, isn't it?" He mumbles to him.

"My mama?!" Grayson's eyes light up and he smiles big.

"Yeah I know.. Your mommy makes me smile too." Danny smiles and kisses his cheek.

Danny comes back out and can barely contain his laughter.

"Boys look!"

"Oh my gosh!  Poor baby looks like a stuffed sausage!" Michael laughs.

"He's grown a lot since your mother packed that bag."

"Ya think!"

"I no like dis!" Grayson yanks on his shirt.

"Just leave it alone, baby." Danny moves his hands.

"NOOO!" He whines.

"Alright." Danny takes a deep breath.

"Did we order already?"

"Yeah." Sam chuckles.

"That's right! 
Oh gosh.. Your mom is gonna be so mad at me!"

"You had no choice but to give him the candy, he was screaming! I'm glad you did, he was beginning to annoy me." Sam says.

"Heh! Well anyway, how has everything been?  How's school?"

"Great!" James smiles.

"Awesome!  And you, Sam?"

"I mean.. It's okay.  The reason I'm still in school is the hot girls, though."

"Samuel." Danny chuckles.

"Well do good and make your parents proud, that's what's most important.

"I know.."

After they eat, Grayson passes out on Danny's lap.

"Look at his belly hanging out! *Laughs* He looks like uncle Ross every Thanksgiving!" Michael laughs and the boys agree.

They stay and talk for a while, and when Danny feels that the time is right, he brings up what he brought them there for.

"So boys.. I wanted to ask you something really important.
.. I really don't know how to start this, but.."

"Is something wrong?" James asks.

"No!  No, nothing's wrong.
.. I just wanted your blessing to.. To take your mother's hand in marriage." He says nervously.

The table was quiet for a second.

"Wow.."

"Marriage?"

"Yes."

There was silence once again.

"Boys, I love her so so much and I would love for Jessica to become my wife one day.  It would really mean a lot to me if I can have your blessing.  If not, then I just couldn't ask if you're not okay with it."

"Danny.. I say yes.  You know why?  Because you treat her right. You care and love Grayson like he's your own, you're providing for her.. and she's happy. That's all we want and all my dad ever wanted for my mother."

"Well thank you, James. That means a lot to me.
I want you all to know that I have prayed about this for a long long time.  I know this is the right decision."

"I give you my blessing, coach." Michael says.

"Thanks, kid." He smiles.

"I've seen how you are with my mom, and how you get along so well with our family.. You are a genuinely nice man.  I mean, you have to love her if you're willing to house all of her kids and take care of that little gremlin." Sam points to Grayson.

Danny chuckles and looks down at him past out of his lap.

"I do. I love her and I love you all very much."

"We love you too.
You have my blessing as well, Danny."

"Wow.." Danny says letting out a deep breath.

"Thank you boys." He says trying to hold back his tears.

"Thank You.. For loving our mom."

Thanksgiving.

Jessica was woken from a deep sleep by being showered with kisses.

"Danny." She says in a whine with a smile on her face.

He wraps his around her stomach and kisses her neck.

"Happy Thanksgiving, beautiful!"

Jessica opens her eyes and turns to her back.

"Happy Thanksgiving, Daniel." She smiles.

"What are you thankful for?"

"I am thankful for the boys, my sister, my job, and.. That's it!"

"Heyyy!" Jessica says cutely.

"I'm just playing!  And YOU! 
Of course I'm thankful for you!" He kisses her lips.

"Jessica, you've completely turned my life around, and I want to thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart for that."

"Awe!  Daniel!  You changed my life around too.  I am beyond thankful for you."

Danny smiles and leans down.

They gently brush their noses back and forth, then share a passionate kiss

Jessica was bathing Grayson, and Danny got a phone call from his sister.

"Happy Thanksgiving, Daniel!"

"Thank you! Same to you."

"Danny, I know this is dumb question but... Are you guys gonna be able to make it to Tony's for Thanksgiving dinner."

"Ang, you know the answer. We're going over to Jessica's parents house. It'll be a nice change from Zachary's and I's annual Thanksgiving dinner at Luby's."

"Awe That breaks my heart!  Well at least this year you'll be with someone you love."

"Yeah.
Besides, I wasn't invited to Tony's."

"Daniel, you know they wouldn't mind! You could bring Jessica and the boys, it would be fun!"

"Fun? Hah! Well alright. Well I appreciate you caring about us, Ang. We're fine though! Go have a good time and I'll call you later and tell you how everything goes with Albert and George."

"Oh that's right! Good luck!"

"Thanks!"

"Danny, look at this boy! He's eating so well!" Jessica smiles at Grayson.

"Yep! He's got quite an appetite, don't you, Grayson?" Danny pats his head and kisses his cheek.

Jessica smiles at the adorable sight.

"You are so in love!" Ann comes up behind her and pokes her side.

Jessica turns to her and laughs.

"I'm so happy that you're happy, Jess. 
Danny is such a great man.  You two really deserve each other."

"Yeah.. We do." Jessica smiles softly and turns back to look at Danny.

After their meal, Jessica was with her mom and sisters, so Danny pulled George and Albert to the side to talk to them about asking Jessica to marry him.

"What's going on, Daniel?" Albert asks.

"Well um.. Sir.
This is extremely nerve wrecking for me, but I love your daughter.  I love her with everything I have, and all I want is to give her and all of our boys the best life possible.  I wanted your blessing, and yours too, George!  I wanted your blessing to make your amazing and beautiful daughter my wife."

George's eyes widen and he smiles.

"You're gonna ask my little girl to marry you?" Albert asks.

"If that's okay with you, Sir."

"Wow!  Well of course it is, come here!" Albert holds his arms out.

Danny takes a huge sigh of relief and hugs Albert.

George smiles and hugs them both.

"I'm happy too!  You have my blessing too!"

"Haha!  Thanks, George." Danny smiles.

Albert pulls away and shakes Danny's hand.

"I was not expecting this today but.. Wow!  This is great!"

"Yeah?" Danny smiles.

"Yes!  Daniel.. Thank you for everything you've already done for my daughter just the short time you've been together.
Jessie has been through so much these past couple of years, and I'm just so happy that she is finally happy..
Welcome to the family, Daniel."

"Thank you so much, Sir." Danny smiles the most biggest and brightest smile.
