Nico

A while after Rachel found Nico in his cabin

I woke up in the infirmary.

How had I got here? I had no idea.

The last thing I remembered was my father's voice...

***

I was in Hades' palace in the underworld.

The escaped souls were taking up all his time and energy. "I will destroy every last village if I have to, to find those spirits."

I knew he meant it.

The gods never really cared about us mortals. To them, there were so many of us that it didn't matter if a few hundred were killed. A few villages didn't matter to my dad.

He started pacing around the room muttering angrily to himself.

That's when I heard it. Well, I felt it before I heard it.

A change in the air.

Then a voice.

"So, have you thought about it? Time is running up."

My dad went still. "I already told you." He said. "I don't accept deals from you."

The voice sighed. "Very well, I'll have a chat with you, but first, the boy leaves."

The last thing I saw was the inside of the Hades cabin, before I spiraled into unconsciousness.

As I thought of what happened, the strange voice speaking to my dad, I felt a tug. I was getting really familiar with this feeling. When a "supposed to be dead" soul comes close to me, I feel this tug in my body.

I had know about what was happening before Silena had come to camp, but Hades had said not to tell anyone. He didn't want the other gods thinking he couldn't handle his job properly.

This time though, the tug felt different. I don't know how to explain it, but somehow I knew who it was. My sister, Bianca.

I could also somehow tell she was in trouble.

I got up and shadow traveled as fast as I could. I knew where she was. Her soul was close.

I found her in the woods fighting three hellhounds.

How in Hades had they crossed the camps borders? I didn't know. But my sister -my supposed to be dead sister- was in trouble.

I quickly ran up to her and started helping her. I threw off one of the hellhounds as it tried to snap her in half with its jaws. If only all hellhounds were like Mrs. O'Leary.

"Hey." I panted. "Missed you."

She looked at me as if she just noticed I was there. Which she probably did.

"Nico?" She asked.

"Yep, still my name from when I saw you when I was ten years old."

She opened her mouth to answer when a hellhound knocked her over to the side. Her knee hit the tree with a loud crack.

"Oww." She winced in pain. "Nico, you and me are both hurt. We can't handle them ourselves. go get help, I can hold them off for a while."

"But-"

"Go." She said.

"I can shadow travel us out of here I-"

"You can't, the hellhounds will reach camp if we do that."

"Okay, fine." I said. "But take my sword."

I handed my sword to her. She grasped the handle, and I shadow traveled out of there.

I landed in the middle of eight demigods.

I'm pretty sure Leo was there, but since the dead were coming back, I wasn't surprised. All I had to do right now was warn them about the hellhounds in the woods.

"Guys," I gasped, exhausted from shadow travel. "Bianca. Woods."

I don't know what I said after that, but I had a faint vision of Will coming in the room.

***

I woke up and scanned the room. No one was there but Will. "You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah," I said. "But my sister-"

"Percy's there, I'm pretty sure."

"You're pretty sure?" Well that wasn't reassuring.

"Let's go see." He helped me up and we walked out into the sunshine where I saw two people walking out of the woods.

Percy Jackson, and my sister, Bianca di Angelo.
