Lances pov

"So all that needs to be done is it has to be tested?"i ask the nerd in front of me.

"Uh...yeah, i guess."Matt responds, i nod then grab his hand and start walking.

"Wait where are we going?"he asks me, his face now a red flush.

"I'll test it out for you. Now is this the right way to the lab?"i ask him.

"Wha- no wait you don't have to-"he starts but i cut him off.

"No i want to, it should be easy. I trust your skills."i say and wink at him, whats with all the flirting?

"Uh...okay, and um...yeah we are going in the right direction."he says, I smile and speed up my pace, now matt follows next to me.

"Hey where we going?"I hear from beside me, I see Keith walking next to us his cheery smile on his face.

"I'm testing out some science thing."I tell him, his smile drops but he continues to walk with us.

"Um...are you sure this is the best choice?"Keith asks.

"Positive"I answer. He doesn't respond and just walks with us. We walk in and matt explains that I must put it on my head, then maybe it would work like altea mind melding tech. He walks behind a big control desk and hands me a helmet.i take it in my hands and exit the control room. I start opening the door to the experiment room when I feel a hand on my shoulder.

"Lance, you are known to make impulsive decisions...take a moment to think about this, are you sure you want to go through with this?"he asks me. I smile and take his hand of my shoulder.

"Yeah I'm sure, if I get in here, that just means some other random person dosent get hurt...that's enough to make it worth the risk."I say and walk in. The look pure horror and fear worn on Keith's face was now stained into my brain.

Keith's pov

That stupid boy. When he gets his ass outta there I'm gonna kill him. Fucking b-

"Shit!"is heard from the control room and an explosion is heard from the experiment room.

With out a second thought I throw the door open and run in to see lance thrown against the wall, the helmet everywhere in the room from exploding. I run over to lance his eyes open and i feel relief fill my stomach. I hold my hand out for him to take. His warm hand wraps around mine-

"Don't go in there Texas!"

"Welcome to the orphanage"

"I'm shiro by the way"

"I will come back"

"Shiro is gone"

"And don't ever come back to the garrison!"

"Red paladin"

"We do make a good team"

"Leave the math to pidge"

"I trust you as our leader"

"Yes!"

"What about Veronica?"

"Lance...lance please....is he okay?"

These words echo through my head with no actual source, I pull my hand away from lance and stumble back. Soon images upon images flood my head, more sentences bounce around my head, and things start coming together.

I look up to stare at my best friend...but instead I see my husband, then I see matt by his side kissing his cheek.

I see pidges brother kissing my husband.

"Fu- quiznack" I mumble and  walk out of the room. The new information seemed like a weight pulling me down with each step I took through the familiar terrain, every wall felt like it had its own story from my past. As I walk through the hallways, a stagger to my step, and a dizziness that hindered me. I slam into a warm body and look up.

"Shiro?!"I shout now looking the male in front of me, his hair all black and both arms, no scar on his nose...he was untouched by the galra.

"Your, alive, but you...I thought? Why am I here? How are you here? A-and your arm? Its- its back?"i question looking at him, confusion bouncing around every part i my brain.

"Wait...you rember? You finally remember now?!"Shiro says, joy filling his eyes and voice.

"Yeah I rember, your Shiro the leader of the atlas...and matt holt is dateing my HUSBAND!"I shout now the situation hitting me full on.

"That son of a bitch! Where the fuck is my bayard" I scream while trying to summon my bayard.

"Keith calm down."shiros calm voice says setting his hand on my shoulder, i feel a familiar calm wash over me as my brother from both lives reaches out to me.

"Our bayards are with the new paladins, and you cant kill Matt."shiro says, i shrug his hand off my shoulder and huff as i lean against the wall.

"Why couldn't i end up with lance again, you got adam."i say a bitterness to my tone.

"Me and Adam got together after we both remembered."shiro says with a small smile on his face.

"How'd you and Adam remember?"i ask him.

"Oh now thats a great story, want to go to your dorm and talk about it?"shiro asks.i nod my head and lead the way. Lance might be hurt...but i know he is in good hands right now.
