Lances pov

"Lance."a stern British sounding voice calls out, I turn to face it meeting myself with allura. I quickly stiffen my position and lift my hand to my forehead.

"At ease cadet."she says and walks over to me. I drop my hand to my side and keep a straight posture, THE allura was talking to me, daughter of the creator of Voltron, one of the former paladins.

"I would just like to say it's an honour having you even speak to me ma'am."I say expressing my excitement in the fact that such a hero new my name.

"Look lance, I put my credibility on the line when I said you wouldn't be trouble, and from the looks of your torn face I see I might have been mistaken."she says in a professional manor. I could feel ice crawling up my spine at her words, and my heart sink...oh, she's only here cause I could ruin her reputation.

"Look ma'am if you didn't want to deal with me then you shouldn't have followed me into the principles office, or you should have kept your mouth shut."I say my words turning colder then from a few seconds ago. Her eyes widen and a frown sets itself on her face.

"You have talent, I believe you could make something of yourself if you just stayed in line and stopped getting into trouble."she says.

"Ma'am I have been in line, I have only caused problems outside of school grounds. I know where to draw the fucking line, and you should learn where to draw it too."I say defensively.

"What do you mean by that?!"she asks her voice now raised.

"I mean you come down here to give me a talk on staying in my place. Here's my question, why do you think it's your PLACE to butt into my life, to you I'm a random stranger. So next time you want to give me your great advice I would suggest you think twice."I say and stand up to leave. Allura grabs my arm and twirls me to face her.

"Lance, I give you advice because you remind me of someone I once knew...lance McClain. You could reach the same greatness as hi-"she says but I cut her off ripping my arm away from her.

"Don't compare me to him! Everyone compares me to him! Just because I have his name doesn't mean I am him! I never will be and never want to be that disgrace of human being!"I shout at her. Why does everyone compare me to him?!

"Lance you are better then this! You are important...you are valid."she says her voice growing softer, I feel a pain in the back of my head, those words sounded so familiar....

"Please lance, the team needs you."she whispers. The pain in my head persists and I back away from her, my eyes wide. I didn't have self esteem issues why is she talking to me as if I do? Why does she say things that sound like they should be said to someone else?

She's crazy, is everyone in this damn school crazy?! Everyone keeps saying things I don't understand, doing things that are so unlike them. What is wrong with these people?!

"I don't know what you are talking about, but from the sound of it I don't want to be any where near you."I say and walk out of the room, keeping my pace fast once I exit the room I run to my dorm.

I don't want to be near people right now, they are confusing and scaring me...
