Prompt: *choose whatever side* X reader (In this case Patton)

She ends up in some kind of accident that leaves her hospitalized and, as horrified as Thomas and the others are, *chosen side* is the most devastated to the point where he fears that actually seeing her in the hospital would make it all too real. He ends up unable to think straight and unable to sleep properly for a few weeks. As he's on the couch barely sleeping, the door ends up opening to reveal her shyly holding the spare key between her fingers. They both cry as they embrace and explain what's going through their minds, which leads to him confessing that, though he has considered the idea, the past few weeks confirmed the idea that he couldn't bear life without her and eventually popping the question. She talks a bit to him about it to be sure it's something he really wants and he explains it is before she tearfully says yes.

(Let's say Reader here is ambidextrous ok)

Multiple sirens were coming from every direction, Thomas, and Y/n's worse nightmare.

What had happened earlier was Thomas' car was a victim in a car crash with some drunk dude's car,

The guy was being tested with a breathalyzer, Thomas trying not to panic, and Y/n being taken away by an ambulance.

The doctors say she only broke her right arm. She will have a cast fixed on her soon, The drunk dude was soon off to jail after the scene.

And Thomas was escorted home, He had to break the new to the sides that she would have to stay in the hospital for a little longer since she also had something that needed to be checked on.

The side who was most devastated was Patton, Of course, he would be, His significant other is in a hospital.

"Patton, You ok over there?" Roman asked

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine" Patton faked a smile, They all seemed convinced

"Do you want to go to the hospital tomorrow to check up on Y/n?" Thomas questioned the oddly quite trait,

"No, No You guys could go, I don't wanna go" Patton mumbled the last part he thinks Thomas was the only one who heard it though.

"Ok, um alright, well. We should all get some rest now" Everyone except Thomas sank down saying their good nights and good byes, and went to sleep. Well, all but Patton (And Virgil like normal).

The normally bubbly trait would have fallen asleep easily with a peaceful Y/n next to him, but tonight the spot laid no one to hug or cuddle with. This made Patton feel even sadder,

He was thinking about this too much, at least they know that Y/n isn't dead, but still. He was lonely and broken without her.

Patton didn't know if he had gotten any sleep last night, the other sides all left to see Y/n at the hospital. Patton tried to have a nap on the couch but to no avail.

The Sanders had come home and told Patton even more news,

Y/n had to stay in the hospital for a little longer, They had run some test to find that she had S/d (Some sort of Disease) that if not treated properly could end up being worse.

This is where Patton had lost it, He was crying and all the others tried to help him stabilize.

Patton had faked being happy just so the other sides wouldn't have to worry about him,

On the inside though, he hadn't slept for the past few weeks, and his sanity was lowering very quickly, He needed Y/n, to hear her voice to hug her and tell her home much he loved her.

He wanted to-

He heard jangles of keys from outside, Were the sides home already? He thought they would be home in a few hours but not this fast.

"Thomas?"
"Patton?"

Huh? That was Y/n voice.

Patton stood up from the couch, him having obvious dark bags under his eyes from lack of sleep.

"Y/n?!" "Patton!"

They two hugged each other crying on each other's shoulders, they pulled away and Patton kissed Y/n with passion.

"I'm so happy that you're back!!"
"Hey Y/n?"

"Yeah?"
Patton got down on one knee, snapped his fingers and a black felted ring box appeared in his hands,

"Will you marry me?"

Y/n was full of tears,
"Are you sure about it Patton?"

"Yes, once I met you my morality told me that you were the one. So Y/n do you accept my proposal?"

"YES YES YES YES YES!!" Y/n yelled pulling Patton back up to a kiss.
