After three more days camping in the cave the soldiers disappeared and the group of five crossed over the border to Spain.

They got sick of climbing up and down mountains very quickly.

The group was very happy to finally reach the top after two days filled with exhaustion.

Maddy and Michael set up tents in a small clearing in the middle of a forest in the East of Spain. They weren't very sure where exactly but they didn't care much as long as they got to the ocean.

Mystic lay watching them put up the two tents and clear an area for the fire.

Mia and Sebastian were sent to fill up there water bottles in a near by stream, after checking to make sure nothing was wrong with the water, and then sent to roam the forest surrounding the clearing and collect fire wood.

Everyone was used to the routine now. It had been almost two weeks together camping out wherever they could fine  space, weather it was a cave, a clearing in a forest or a field.

As dusk approached Michael and Mia went down to the river with makeshift fishing rods and managed to catch seven miniature fish, they both hoped that would be enough.

Sebastian sat by the fire, occasionally adding wood trying to keep the fire going and Maddy was looking in the forest for any edible plants.

About an hour after the moon was rising in the sky the four kids and a cat sat on logs that they had rolled into their campsite, eating fish and some blackberries that Maddy had found and deemed safe.

Eventually the fire died out and everyone wondered back into their tents for a few hours sleep before continuing the journey West.

The snap of a twig woke Michael up early in the morning.

He sat up and rubbed the sleepiness out of his eyes.

He peaked his head out of the tent, nothing.

Michael shook his head, it was probably just a small animal.

He crawled back into his sleeping bag and went back to sleep.

Outside another twig snapped on the other side of the campsite and  shadows appeared all around the clearing.

The shadows all looked to the shadow that had snapped the first twig, awaiting orders.

Shadow 1 nodded, silently giving all the other shadows an instruction.

Move in and take the kids.
