After there lovely, gentle stroll through the bright, warm and dry forest (please note the sarcasm) they eventually lost the soldiers and came across another small town two days later on their way west towards Spain then Portugal and finally across to America.

When they were in this lovely little town, they decided to try and find more supplies in a school of all places. Michael had thought he would never actually have to go back to staring out the window while a teacher drones on.

Though Michael had to admit his day got a lot better because of what they found in the school.

The four of them had been finishing up grabbing any supplies they came across when they heard an odd sound coming from the direction of one of the lockers that stood against a plain beige wall.

Sebastian, after announcing oh so how brave he was decided to be the one to open the locker and face whatever monster was hidden inside.

Sebastian had crept up to the locker and slowly opened it up. Something black and furry jumped on his head.

Sebastian s reaction was immediate he screamed, not unlike a little girl, and started swatting the air, screaming "help me, it's trying to kill me" The other three just stood smirking with their arms crossed, laughing their heads off, seriously Michael was almost in tears.

After a couple of minutes Maddy had calmly stepped forward, gently grappled the unidentified object and turned around.

Sebastian stopped thrashing, swept his hair out of his eyes, giving a nervous laugh he said shakily. "Em... I knew it was no danger, I was just acting?" The last part came out more like a question. He squealed when the thing turned its head and hissed at him. Sebastian looked like he had peed his pants.

After Michael finally stopped laughing he turned towards Maddy to find out what had been abandoned in the crampt locker.

It turned out to be a young cat. The cat in question was an inky black colour with the tip of it's tail and right ear white.  The cat had the greenest eyes you could ever find, they looked like they swirled around with pure magic. The cat was young obviously about about a teenager in cat years. It was undeniably cute.

"I'm going to call her Mystic" Maddy said it as a statment, silently questioning if they were going to question her to keep 'Mystic' as the cat had been named.

Mystic spurred happily in Maddy's arms. When no one said anything after a minute she started walking toward the door AKA a smashed window.

Thinking Maddy was out of hearing range, Sebastian stage whispered to the siblings "I didn't know that Miss Mad Maddy had a soft side!"

Michael almost collapsed with laughter when Maddy shouted from outside "I heard that!"

Sebastian gulped and Michael almost pitied him. Almost.

That it seems is the story of how they got a fifth member to their rag tag group of survivors.
