Let's begin....

Sanskar looks at the scores on the notice board he was asusual ranking the first but he was looking for Ragini's scores.
She was not in top 20 as well.. She had dropped down where as failing in one subject and just pass marks in other subjects.
He looks around for her.

It was been 14 months of their relationship. And the Ragini who was been his competition in top 5 has performing low in each semester.
Ragini was found eating noodles in canteen.
Sanskar stood in front of her:Ragini..
She looks at him and smiles:Sanskar..congratulations. I was waiting for you already.. Since you were late I came here.. And your phone was also switched off..
Sanskar:yeah it's out of battery.

Sanskar:your scores..
Ragini:yeah it was tough for me and I will do good in next semester.
Sanskar just simply nods.

Both of them belonged to middle class family but the scenarios were different.
Ragini's family were free minded people they were happy with whatever they had since they had no other responsibility with her mother father and younger brother. The healthy family.
On the other side Sanskar's family was struggling in every step of their life. His parents had to look after their sick parents and already they are going through debts and Sanskar had 4 sibling. His elder sister who's marriage was fixed and all other were younger to him, learning to sacrifice the childhood by ditching those happiness which could only bought by happiness.

At this circumstances he could only regret getting into a relationship with Ragini. She wasn't bothered about her future but his. She was not giving importance to her life. He didn't wanted her to be like this. He wanted her to see succeed.

She was kicking on her scooter:gosh this... I was better with my cycle. See in future I will continue with cycle only.
Sanskar out of suddenly:Ragini what's your goal in this life?
Ragini didn't expect this question. To be frank she didn't had one.
Sanskar:are you in plans of some 9-5 job or something else?
Ragini scratched on her head:don't know. I will think later.
Sanskar:what you wanna be in your life?
Ragini screeched:your wife.
He left out a breath. He just couldn't stop himself from smiling seeing her child like expression.
Ragini:being your wife is the goal of my life.
He nods his head:you need to grow up. At this point of life you should think of your career than me.
Ragini shrugs her shoulder.
Sans'ar:I am not running away anywhere. For being my wife there's lots of time.
Ragini got annoyed:but I will be your wife some day right!!!
He just looks on and slightly hits on her head :you won't grow up!!!

He knew that how important career was. He was really not understanding how Ragini will understand this. He started to blame himself. May be if she wasn't in relationship with him then she might have given interest in studies.

Some days passed..

Sanskar's life became difficult with the debt of his parents. All he was focusing to search a job. Also preparing for CA.
He couldn't give time to Ragini.

While on the other side Ragini was just busy dreaming about her future with Sanskar. She didn't had anything else in her mind other than Sanskar.

One fine day...

Ragini was so happy for Sanskar he obtained 14th rank in state.
While she passed out.
She went to a cake shop and got a cake for Sanskar.

She called Sanskar. He did not receive her call. Neither replied to her text.
She was waiting for him with a cake at the usual spot they met.
It was night.
Unknowingly tears rolled down her cheeks. But she smiled that he would come.

Sanskar just hid faraway from her watching her waiting for him.
His eyes welled up.
He sees her caller ID on his phone.
He received the call.
Ragini:Sanskar where are you? I am waiting here....
He interrupts her words:Ragini.. Let's break up.
She was shocked listening him.
Ragini:don't joke..
She smiled while she knew this was coming deep inside her but still she didn't wanted to agree.
Sanskar:I am going to bangalore for the job. I have to focus on my career. I want to support my family. It's my mistake that I accept your proposal. I am sorry let's be the stranger from now on. I am sorry!!!
She was blank. She didn't know what just happened in the fraction of seconds.
While just watched her from far.
Tears rolls down her eyes and she cried there.no matter how many times she wiped her tears but she couldn't stop it.
Sanskar turns :I am sorry!!!

After an hour.

She stood and moved with a blank mind.

Her father opened door:Ragini where were you..?
He could sense her sad:hey it's okay. It's just an exam of a university. But I know you can do better in life.
She just silently walked inside her room.
Shekhar:Ragini beta...
While she just closed the door.
Shekhar looks at his wife janki.
They move to door.
Shekhar:Ragu.. Come let's go out to hotel and celebrate. You are a graduate now.

While here Sanskar was packing his bag.
His father :from when you will join the job.
Sanskar :from day after tomorrow baba.
Ram:I just saw the new. Top 10 are getting prize money and a well paid job. You should have tried more.
Sanskar was silent. He just wiped the tears which was about to drop down his eyes. Thinking about her how she could be... But this was good. She deserves someone better. Who would be good to her!!!

12 years later....

A man:Achieving so much in this age. Sanskar is truly an inspiration for you all.
While Sanskar was sitting there at podium. He was invited as a chief guest at his own college. After 12 long years he just come back to banaras. He was not even listening to the speech of principal.
He was reminiscing his memories with Ragini.

He just sees Ragini there standing on the chair and clapping.
He could see himself climbing the stage to get his award for ranking first.
And it just vanished.
She was happy for him more than himself.

And he imagined her non stop talks and banter. Her unique laugh due to which he always laughed. Her Tom boyish attitude. Her love for noodles they got in the college canteen. Her love for cartoons.

After few days....

Sanskar's elder sister shagun:mom dad are asking priest for good proposal for you.
Sanskar looks at her:what?
Shagun:but until when you will just stay in her memories. After all these years...
Sanskar:I just can't...
Shagun:now she would be happy in her married life. You should also move on.
Sanskar:but I don't want to..
Shagun:at least meet girls. You may have change of heart.
Sanskar:not until I see her once..
Shagun:where will you search her? The first thing you did coming back here was to go to her home. And they shifted to some other place 8 years ago.
Sanskar left out a breath and wears his specs.
And he moved out.

Priest was showing pictures of girls to his parents.
Ram:Sanskar come here.

He moved and sat there.
He just nods in no for each of the photographs of girls.
Priest:okay then I will come tomorrow.. With some good proposals.
He stood taking up the photos.
Sanskar was talking over a call.
When the photos accidentally dropped from priests hands.
When his siblings helped picking it up.
And Sanskar looks at the photo which was near feet.
He picked it up and passed to priest. Before priest could take.
His eyes falls on the photo.
It was her.

In a simple pink colour salwar and small smile on her face. She looked same cute and beautiful.
Shagun:Sanskar..
Priest takes the photo from him.
He could still see her photo.
Shagun:pandit ji.. You didn't show about that girl.
Priest:this proposal won't match you.
Sanskar:why?
He asked immediately.
Priest:she is 34 year old.
Sanskar :I am 34 as well.
Priest:ladkiyon ki Baat alag hoti hai.
Sanskar:alag kyu hoti hai..
Priest:when there's young girls..

Sanskar interrupts:mujhe yahi ladki pasand hai.
He smiles broadly knowing that Ragini isn't married.
Priest:but..
Ram:Sanskar.. Look for some young girls..
Sanskar:no.. I liked her..
He smiles. He just end up the topic. some ancient mind can't be changed.but he was really happy the fact she is so near him. He just can't wait to meet her.
Sanskar:pandit ji.. Whats her address?
Priest:it's difficult now since today only a groom is going to visit her.
Sanskar looks on:but I want to marry her.

While on the other side...

Ragini was ready in a yellow colour saree...
Her brother Rohit:didi..
She looks at him
Rohit:the proposal... Pandit ji called me now he says that he got better proposal so he cancelled now.
Ragini:it just a reason..
She just removes her bangles.
Rohit:dii yaar..
Ragini:don't spoil your life for me. Now you should begin your life with Nia.
Rohit is engaged to Nia but refuses to marry until Ragini gets married.
Ragini:single life is also easy just because some people say it's complicated. It isn't. Don't just ignore your life. Until now I listened to you but you should listen to me now.
Rohit:this is not only my decision but nia's decision too.
Ragini:what about mumma papa. What will they think of me?
She looks at the pictures of her parents with garland.
Rohit:I don't know but my decision won't change.

Ragini was dubbing her voice for a cartoon for its last episode.
She got the payment for her work:sir, if there is some other work then please consider me.
Man:okay!!
She moves out.
Sanskar was standing there near his car.
She moves to her cycle and rides it.
She seemed so lost.
Sanskar looks at her.

He followed her in his car.
She stops at chinese restaurant.
She buys a noodles for herself.
She was listening music in earphones and eating noodles.
He smiles a bit.

Later at night...

Rohit:Diiii...
He literally hugs her tight.
Ragini looks at him:what happened? You seem so happy.
She served food on to her plate.
Rohit:I don't know how do I express? A guy liked you so much that he and his family directly want to proceed with engagement this Sunday if you accept.
Ragini looks at him.
Rohit:he is a charted accountant. Very handsome and I just got to know about him from some people. He is a very decent guy. And a total family man. No bad habits like Alcohol or smoking. plus...
He just stops:plus..
He literally forgot what he had to say.
Ragini laughs seeing his expression and nods her head.
Rohit:it's not funny.
She nods:but you are funny.
Rohit :I have his photo.. Look at him.
Ragini:if you are happy then I am happy.
She just moved to door as some guest came by there.
Rohit looks at Sanskar's photo :okay Baad Mein dekh lena.
He smiles.

Later...

Sanskar was sitting in front of laptop from past an hour an he was just lost.
He could see that bubbly, chirpy and childish Ragini was changed.
It was him the reason?

Will she accept him back in her life again? Will she forgive him?

Shagun placed her hand on his shoulder:where are you lost?
Sanskar looks at her.
Shagun:shouldn't you be happy at this moment? You found her back.
Sanskar smiles a bit:will she accept me back?
Shagun:why not? I don't think it's a coincidence that she did not marry.
Sanskar smiles a bit:but I still could imagine her cry 12 years back.
Shagun:she might not expect you. May be it could be difficult for her.... But she would be happy!
Sanskar:you are just making me feel good right..
Shagun:stay positive Sanskar. To be frank I don't know how will she react but you should not give up on her... Ever. No matter what the circumstances. Not all people get such chance which you got.

Ragini was ready in peach colour saree..
Rohit:they are asking for you.
Ragini walks with him.
Sanskar stood once he spot her.
Shagun walked near her.
That's when she spots him.
While he just smiled a bit.
She just looks at him.

Sujatha:Ragini.. You are very beautiful.
Her lips curved a little:Thank you.
Ram:I heard you are a voice artist..
Sanskar looks at him. His father had wierd habit of pointing out faults.
Ram:why did you choose that as a profession?
Ragini:I was interested in it when gradually found an advertisement and I got selected at my first audition that's how I...
Ram:why did you not work on some It or MNC..?
Ragini looks at him. Rohit was about to interrupt but she just signs him to be silent.
Shagun tried to change the topic.
Ragini:I didn't had good scores and I couldn't pass the interviews..
There was full of silence.

Ram:one last question. Why did you not get married?
Ragini:some wanted the good job holder. Some did not like me. Some who liked me, things did not work with me
Ram:okay.
Shagun :papa.. I think Sanskar and Ragini should speak..
Ram:yeah speak..

After sometime...

Sanskar was trying to speak to Ragini...who was watching the surrounding standing in the terrace.
He finally managed to break the silence:How are you Ragini?
She looks at him and smiles a bit:I am good. You?
Sanskar smiles:me too.. Good.

She asks him to sit. Once he sat she too sits adjusting the tea.
Sanskar:no sugar please.
Ragini nods.
He had literally prepared nearly 10 to 12 pages  stuff to speak to her but this moment he wasn't remembering 1 sentence.
He just left out a breath and being determines:I am sorry Ragini.
She smiles:for what?
Sanskar:our...
He literally got stuck...
Ragini:25000 batein beet chuki hai tho Mein pichla sab kuch... (she stops for a moment) bhool chuki hoon.
She smiles.
He really didn't expect this from her.

Sanskar:I was looking for you. I even went to your home which you used....
She interrupts:why?
Sanskar :because I wanted to...
Ragini:anyway... Are you really serious?
He keeps the cup on table:serious about what?
Ragini:this proposal..
Sanskar:I am...
Ragini:but I am not!!!
Sanskar :Ragini.. You just told me that you forgot about the past.. But...
Ragini:no no let me be honest with you...
She was still soft and maintained the same smile.
Ragini:I just don't want to get married to you. I can't see myself in an awkward position. Even you should agree with me in this.
Sanskar was silent for some moment.

Sanskar:you already knew it was me?
Ragini:yup just today morning I saw your photo and details. If I knew earlier I would have denied. I think this is better talk face to face.
He looks at her who was just looking at her particular bangle. She didn't look at him while giving him this explanation.

Sanskar:Ragini...
She looks at him with the same smile. She looked lot matured. And her personality have changed to gentle and calm minded person.
Sanskar:is there no second chance for me in your life..?
She just closed her fingers tight. A minute passed. She could not answer.
Sanskar gave her the space to answer.
She looks at him with a small smile:I am sorry.. But No!

He don't know how to react. Should he plead her or do something else.
He could not stop himself from saying:Ragini... I respect your decision..
She smiles :thank you..
Sanskar:but I can't afford to lose you once again. Last time I did not wanted you to suffer because of me. I wanted you to give self importance than me. Please don't punish me like this!
Ragini looks other side.
Sanskar:I can't explain you how I missed you all these years.
Ragini looks at him and stood:I am sorry!!!
He looks at her. And he just couldn't bare it.
Ragini:I think we should go now!!!
He bends his head and his eyes welled up.

Ragini turns moves. She did not wanted to do this to him when she knew how hurtful this "I am sorry" can be... No one knows better than her!!!
Teras rolls down her eyes which she wipes off immediately.
Her answer was just "No"
The 2 letter word which she was so sure off!!!
