We were doing a ton of D- ranked missions. Which was CHORES! At one point, Naruto tried to one up Duckboy, then it completely back fires... How? Well... We had to walk the dogs for the owner, because they're so DAMN LAZY. We had chosen small dogs, guess what he chose...

Yep. The biggest one out of them all. Somehow, the dog literally brutally dragged him into a massive and highly dangerous minefield...

Truth be told, it was hard not to watch and laugh about it. He was once orange. Now he was blackened and burned... The dog included. It seemed like a cartoon...

Then, there was this one time...

Sakura was full on insulting him though, which made me want to smash her skull open, I bet she doesn't have any brain.

The chemistry between me and Sakura was like Naruto and Sasuke, disastrous and horrendous. But, worse. Kakashi occasionally had to step in between us. I realized that I really do care for him, and I'm overly serious about the insults being thrown about him...

I bought food for me, ate at the famous ramen shop and prepared for our next mission. 'I'm sooooo "THRILLED"...'
You're a genin though...
'So? This isn't helping us become stronger! Or strengthen teamwork!...*sigh*'

" Hey..."

"Hmm?" I turned around.

"...Kurashima...right?..." It was the girl I saw before, she seemed quiet, more quiet compared to Hinata.

"Yes?" I replied.

"...You dropped this..." She handed me the necklace I tried to find around my house, 'I was looking everywhere for this!' It was a beautiful necklace that contains my clan symbol on it.

Chrysanthemum.

"Thank you very much, its really important to me!" I bowed in respect and took my necklace, my mother had that in her box that she kept underneath in her closet, one of the most precious things, it had a note once that it was meant for me. But, she didn't get a chance to give it to me on my birthday before she left...

When I took my necklace at the last second, I noticed her hands were bandaged, even underneath her sleeves when it pulled up a bit.
'Is that...a bloodstain?...' Before I could get another chance to respond, she left in a hurry...

*TS*

We where currently doing another BORING MISSION! It was... Basically some kind of scavenger hunt! What the heck!

"Sakura, at point A."

"Sasuke, at point B."

"Point D- can we get this over with?!"
Kura...
'They're lucky I'm not shouting.'

...

"Naruto, at point C!"

"Naruto, you're too slow. And Kura, please say your name.  Stay patient and serious when on a mission." He scolded. "What?- the target has moved!" I have a feeling I should remove this device...

Everyone was exactly at least ten meters away from the target. What's the target? You'll see... I took off my ear device, seeing Naruto was about to pounce at it.

"I GOT IT!" Yep. "AHHHH!" There goes the cat. It scratched at his face after he gave it a death grip, his face was full of scratches and scratch marks...

I just walked, everyone was sneaking around, attempting to get the target as if its some extremely dangerous assassin...

"Is it the target, does it have the ribbon on its ear?"
'Sensei, it's a damn cat that we've been chasing around like some cat and mouse game...'

"Confirmed." Ducky was so serious about this... Too serious. It approached me, so I picked it up gently into my arms and petted it as it purred in delight.

"HOW COME THAT CAT ISN'T SCRATCHING HER?!?" Never wear an ear device when someone is bound to shout.

"NARUTO! YOU'RE SCREAMING IN OUR EARS!" Scratch that, TWO people who are bound to scream. Sasuke and Kakashi didn't look too well...

At the Hokage's office, the client, whom it is a fat lady... Was squeezing the life out of that cat... Naruto laughed at its miserable state. Sakura was sympathizing about it. "No wonder it ran off..."

When the client took her leave with her cat Hokage was going to inform us of more 'urgent and necessary' missions. "Team Seven, you'll be babysitting the councilor's son, doing groceries..."

*cat squealing* "No! Come baaack!"

"And retrieving the cat again-"

"NO!" The Uzumaki boomed. "No more baby missions! I want a real mission!" I went near the wall and leaned lethargically on it, it was true, these...CHORES... Are completely useless and stupid! I can see Duckass was secretly agreeing with him. "I'm not a kid anymore!"

"You are only a genin Naruto, genins..." Iruka-sensei was explaining... Particularly to no one in this room, Kakashi didn't want to be bothered as he was reading his book.
'I need to train more... Mmmmm~ Dango...'
Kura, listen...

"SILENCE!" Everything turned dead silent, you could hear background noises and the wind blowing calmly outside of the windows...

"Sorry..." Kakashi closed his book and smiled sheepishly.

"He wants prove that he isn't a brat, but to be a former brat, I'll offer the team a C- ranked mission, you'll be protecting someone." Now, this, is better!

"Ooh, ooh, is it a noble?! A PRINCE?! No, A PRINCESS?!?"

"Yeah Naruto, a C- ranked mission. To protect someone like that..."

"Kura... You don't have to be like that..." I guess I sort of killed his excitement, oops.

Suddenly, my nose was impacted my a heavy smell of rancid alcohol. 'Oh no... He can't be serious...' It was disgustingly strong, much more worse than some perfume that can take down a ten-foot tall bear! I had to move away from the door since I was the one leaning on the frame, I settled next to an opened window.

"Who are these, a bunch of snot nosed kids?! Are they supposed to protect me?!" Nice way for a good first impression... My mood suddenly takes a wrong turn towards the south...
'HATE DRUNKS. They remind me of that stupid asshole...'
Please show some kind of respect...
'No way!'

"And who's him, that's short and with an idiotic face?" He took a swig of his sake, I hate this guy already...

"Who's the kid with a short and idiotic face?"
'*sigh*'

The rest of my team lined up to prove who's short and who's tall, I didn't bother at all, I'm way too lazy to move a muscle. I was trying to sleep...

"Ha! Kura is the one! Believe it! I sweatdropped, so did Kakashi...

"He said 'him' not 'she' Naruto..."
'He's gonna kill him.'

"I'M GONNA KILL HIM!"
Oh dear...
'Told you, not very respectful himself is he?'

Kakashi held on the collar of his orange jacket, "How can we protect the client if you're going to kill him?"

"Easy, just don't let Naruto kill him." I nonchalantly blurted out. "Or me, for that matter..." My eyes were closed, but I could sense both of their gazes on me.

"My name is Tazuna, I am a master bridge builder and you must protect me with your lives. As we journey to the Land of Waves."
'Like Hell I would- wait... "With our lives"?'
I don't think he really means that does he?

I eyed him suspiciously, we were told to wait by the gates of Konoha. I'm intrigued at first as we went home to ready ourselves for the expedition, but also terrified... Not just because those last words he said to us... But something else....

*TS*

Our sensei was here surprisingly early, along with that drunkard old bastard. Maybe it was because he was also having suspicions about this Tazuna. Naruto was very peppy right now, Sakura asked why.

"This is my first time out of this village!" He bellowed joyfully.

"Hn. Loser."
'And there goes the glaring contest again...'

As we set off, I was lingering in the back of our group, anxious and unsettled... Kakashi noticed this and walked slower beside me as the team went on. "What's wrong?"

"...W-what if...people are out to get me again... O-or worse..." My voice was frail... It wavered no matter how much I tried not to. My stature was different, I was afraid now... I'm extremely cautious, alert, and frightened. My eyes were widely darting around our surroundings, my breathing was faster than usual, my palms were sweaty as I held on my giant shuriken on my back, ready to draw it out.

At this point, I felt afraid. And I hated it.

"Don't worry, I'm here. And the team is here to have your back." He gave me a reassuring smile, I felt better and more serene, still jumpy though...

It was a calm walk, but I spotted a puddle... "Amateur..." I softly spoke. Kakashi caught it though and knew. I glanced at him, our eyes met and we were ready. I knew there were two enemies up ahead for an ambush, using my chakra, I could feel it... The heat within their bodies... The blood coursing in their veins...

It was hard not to see the chakra from that rain puddle, my team was entirely blinded though. Suddenly two ninjas jumped put of the water, they 'sliced up Kakashi-sensei'. I readied myself as my team thought it was really him. "Focus!" I yelled.
'Damn! What are they doing here?!'
The Demon Brothers! Be careful!

"He's dead!" Sakura cried out. Naruto was just standing there!
'What is he doing?!'

Me and Sasuke were the ones fighting them, their weapons are deadly chains with sharp blades on them, if I don't watch my step, I'll turn into a bag of bloody, raw meat like that 'Kakashi'. The other one's blade whip was about to slice Ducky.

"Fire style: Fireball Jutsu!" He shouted.

*BOOM!*

Explosive tags are everything. Me and Sasuke were fending off the brothers, "Behind you!" Sakura yelled.

"Little brat!" He cried out. I drew out my sword and used it against his whip, it wrapped around my sword and we were in a bit of a 'tug of war'. "Argh!" I used my chakra and flailed him around like a ragdoll then finally slammed him forcefully to a tree. I turned around only to see the last one about to slash Naruto!
Wait Kura!

Without a second thought, I intercepted, but he left a mark on his hand. A second too late! He vaulted away to face the both of us.

*Bam!*

"Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura was useless during this fight...

"Y-you're alive!"

Sasuke-kun~, was hurt that Kakashi stole his spotlight. I tried to hold back a laugh. I heard what the emo said to the Uzumaki, "You scared? Scaredy cat?" He does have whiskers...
You missed the whole point of his insult...
'I didn't, besides, I need a fucking answer...'

"Ninjas, huh..." I started.

The brothers were tied to a tree now with their own weapons. "How did you know?"

"You're an amateur. On a clear day that hasn't even rained in weeks, what an easy mistake." I mocked on their poor choices of hiding. A ninja must be concealed and unnoticed. Kakashi nodded, possibly smirking.

"How come you left the genin to do the battling?" Tazuna asked.

"How come you didn't tell us about this?" I countered angrily.

"Clam down Kura, I wanted to see if the ninja were after us, or you. I do agree with Kura on this, the mission reported us about protection on robbers and thugs. You didn't include anything about ninjas and assassins, the mission rank would be a B rank or higher." Kakashi explained and pointed out.
'So he was suspicious.'
We must forget about this mission, it's too dangerous!
'Not for me.... (snicker) Quite exciting in my opinion.'

Pinky told us that we should bail out on this mission, return to Konoha, and treat Naruto's wounds immediately. He refused. "Naruto, your poisoned, don't move too much or else the poison will kick in much quicker."

He took a kunai and did a speech. He stabbed his own hand!
'Naruto!'
Being a burden...no one wants to be one.

"Uh... Naruto, that's a nice speech and all, but, if you lose too much blood, you'll bleed out and die." Sensei replied with a sweatdrop.

He paled. "..."

"AH! I'M GONNA DIE! I'M GONNA DIIIIIEEEEEE!"

"*sigh* Naruto, give me your hand please..." I pulled out a gauze from some of my medical supplies. I took examined his hand carefully...

It regenerated...
'Can it b-be?...'
There's only one explanation for this...

"Is it bad? You have serious faces there Kura and Sensei..." He nervously laughed.

"Hmm? No, it isn't critical. Don't worry Naruto." He was sitting on the grassy floor as me and Kakashi knelt down. "Now c'mon! We got a journey ahead of us!" I pretended to be running out of patience.

*TS*

We were required to sail to the Village Hidden in the Mist. I still had a feeling I couldn't just shake off.... And, I hate water. Being wet then cold is a bit unbearable to me... I don't have a phobia for water though. I did almost drowned a couple of times, not because I can't swim, because of those pursuers...

"Woah!" Naruto exclaimed with happiness, he was astonished about the bridge. He wasn't the only one, it's on a large scale! Then again, I traveled quite a lot.

"Ssh! Keep quiet! There's a reason why I'm not using the motor, the mist provides great visibility!" The rower whispered.

*sploosh...splash...*
Kura!
'I heard it...'

My ears picked up a faint sound of two footsteps... But it faded...
We're being followed...
'Of course we are....'

I was relaxing, when I heard the odd noises, my muscles tensed. No one on the boat noticed about me or the noises, it could have been my imagination, however Hisen picked it up... This isn't good...

Tazuna spoke about the mission and the truth. "Do you know Gato?"

Kakashi was surprised. "The famous businessman Gato?" That name didn't ring a bell...

"He is a short man that casts a long, deadly shadow..."

He explained that Gato is a notorious man, he used thugs and, for drastic measures in drastic times, deadly ninjas just for his business. The reason why Tazuna hadn't spoke of it being a B- ranked mission, is because the land is very poor. Gato was like a leech or cancer, sucking up the land's wealth and slowly killing it at the same time...

"You and the bridge is in Gato's way huh..." I assumed.

"Yes..." Then, he did the stupid guilt trick... "I have a child, he's an young boy, if I die blah blah blah blah..." I hate him...

"You did say he was short, maybe that's why he's easily angered..." I whispered the last part, "Naruto..." He continued his stupid blabber and feeling bad about him, this was my response to his last part."You know, yeah I'm fine with that."

"You don't care about my family possibly crumbling apart if I die?!?" I tried to hold back a laugh, it caused him to do the anime tears...

I decided to take a nap, but guess what! The boat trip was over anyways!

We continued on, even if it was beyond the scope of our mission. I felt the body heat, 2 nearby... One was normal, but the other... Its blood ran cold like a corpse...

"OVER THERE!" A kunai was thrown, it made me pull out my giant shuriken. "Hehehehe... It was just a rat..."
'Damn it Naruto... Wait... He's not wrong...'
Don't die.
'I hope I won't.'

I didn't put away my weapon, I only grew more weary... "THERE!!!" He recklessly threw more, I'm surprised he can actually sense them...

"NARUTO! Those aren't toys! You can't just throw them whenever you want to!" Pinky yelped with that annoying voice.

"Yes you can, watch this." I hurled one at her, but a few centimeters off. Intentionally of course. "You can't just shout whenever you feel like it. Keep quiet." I hinted a warning, only Kakashi-sensei realized that.

A few moments later, Uzumaki tossed another one to a bush, only to find a snowy white rabbit. He was apologizing to it...

A winter coat... White rabbit...
'Shit!'
