As you walked into the room, you noticed that there were also statues in the room. They all looked different from one other, and set up standing against the pillars. You took a look at Vertigo, and saw he had a robe on with the hood covering his face. He head red eyes, and you could see a lizard tail from behind him.

Vertigo: Ohh, this is exciting! No one's been here in over a millennium!

Y/N: *whispers* Galliard, does he have any friends?

Galliard: *whispers back* Not really, he's sorta just that guy who throws himself into the group.

Y/N: Well, what do I have to do in order to pass your trial of wisdom?

Vertigo: Ohh!! And you're an eager one as well!? This is the best! Okay! Okay! Ehem *regains composure* If you are to pass my trial of wisdom, you defeat my five powerful knights.

Summer: Sounds easy enough.

Vertigo: *crazed giggle* Ohh, best watch what you say my dear! I suggest you have a strategy when facing each one, for they are all different from one another. So! Which shall you fight first?! Remember, choose "Wisely!" HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Galliard: God I hate him.

Vertigo: Hey!

Y/N: Alright, this one right next to me.

Vertigo: *giggles* Very well then.

He lifted his hand towards the set of armor, and it glowed a blue color before coming to life. It walked forward and drew out a broadsword. The sword electrified and you could see on the inside of the armor, there was nothing inside but electricity.

Y/N: So they're elemental based?

Vertigo: Hahahaha! That's correct! Better think before you attack!

Galliard: Y/N, summon my armor, and use my powers.

Y/N: Good call, let's do this!

You placed your hand on Galliard's hilt, and the gem shined blue before you were encased with the new armor.

Galliard: *in head* Right now you cannot summon the weapon, but you can use the strength and abilities of my armor, including the energy beams and shockwaves.

Y/N's Thoughts: Thanks for the tip.

You took your fighting stance as the knight began to it's charged towards you. You jumped away, and when it's sword struck the ground, it made a small electrifying shockwave on the ground.

Y/N: Well, that's gonna be a problem.

You raised your palm towards it and fired a blue energy beam towards it. The knight raised it's sword and absorbed the energy.

Vertigo: Ah Ah Ah! My Lightning Knight can absorb any energy based attack you throw at it! Try again!

The knight fired a stream of lightning towards you that sent you back into the wall.

Summer: Y/N!

She rushed to your side, and helped you back up.

Y/N: *grunt* I'm alright, but let me handle this. Your energy attacks will just be sent back. I'll have to use brute strength.

Summer: Okay, be careful.

Galliard: *in head* Y/N, the armor can absorb attacks as well. You can fight this head on.

Y/N: Very well then. Let's go!

You charged towards the knight, and began to throw series of punches and kicks at it. Every time you would collide with the sword or armor, sparks would fly everywhere. Deciding you had enough, you grabbed the sword, and moved it out of the way, and grabbed the helmet. You ripped it off, and saw there was nothing inside but electricity. You jumped away as the armor unleashed another shockwave.

Y/N: It's hollow!

Summer: How do we beat it then?

Vertigo: *giggles* This is so exciting!

Galliard: *in head* Y/N, use the energy attacks.

Y/N: Right.

You raised your palm towards the headless armor, and blue ball formed in your hand. You shot a blue spiral beam towards the set of armor, and the armor began to dent and crack. Then after pushing forward, you made the armor burst apart, and explode, defeating the first knight.

Y/N: Man, that was rough.

Summer: It's not over.

You looked back to Vertigo as he began to laugh loudly.

Vertigo: HAHAHAHAHA! YOU BEAT LIGHTNING! CLEVER!! VERY CLEVER! BUT!!!

You looked to the crazed being as his left hand glowed green, and the other red.

Vertigo: Will your wisdom carry into your next battle!?!? HAHAHAHA!!

Galliard: GRR!!!! SHUT UP ALREADY!!

Vertigo: Jeez....no need to be mean..

Two knights glowed and came to life. One was engulfed in flames, as the other was surrounded by a green mystical aura. The fire armor drew out two dual-wilded swords, while the other took out a mace.

Y/N: Summer, take grass boy over there. I'm about to play with some fire.

Summer: Don't tell Ruby that.

Y/N: Right, right.

You both charged towards your chosen targets, and clashed weapons with them. When you made contact, flames erupted from the armor, sending you back.

Y/N: GAH! THAT'S HOT!

Galliard: Well, what did you expect it to be?! Cold!?

Y/N: Shut it!

Vertigo: HAHAHA! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOW!?!?

The two of you circled each other as you tried to figure out a way to fight him without burning yourself.

Y/N: Well, let's try this! *fire blue energy beam*

When it saw the beam coming towards it, it fired a stream of fire into it, causing the two attacks to clash, and push each other back.

Y/N: Man! This guy sure is strong!

Galliard: Well, what did you expect from a fire knight?

Y/N: I think I got something for him.

You reached your arm out, and summoned your spear, and threw it towards the knight, forcing him to stop his beam, and yours clashed against him, sending him flying.

Y/N: I've had enough of you. It's time to put this fire out.

You blasted with a blue spiral beam that blasted straight through the armor. It staggered back, and looked up before exploding. You turned your attention to try and see where Summer was, only to see her come flying at your face, sending the two of you into the wall behind you.

Y/N: Ouch,ouch,ouch...

Summer: *groans* It's tougher than it looks.

It stood in front of you as it grew vines from the ground.

Y/N: I'm gonna chop this walking tree down.

You picked up your spear and dashed towards the knight. You cut and dodged the vines that would come flying towards you, and just before you could strike it, another vine latched onto your leg and yanked back, making you fall. You cut it and charged once again. Your weapons clashed with the knight's and the ground underneath you cracked. Roots and vines wrapped around you and lifted you up into the air. Before it could impale you with it's weapon, a wave of energy cut through it's arm and cut the vines that held you making them let go. You looked to see Summer with her eyes shining silver. She sped towards the knight and in a blur, delivered hundreds of slashes. She was stood behind it, and as she released her silver eye power, the knight fell apart into pieces.

Vertigo: Awww, I would use that one to get things out of reach..

Galliard: It is pointless to finish this test! Just let them pass Verty!

Vertigo: NOOO!!! YOU DIDN'T LET THEM PASS WITHOUT A FIGHT!! WHY SHOULD I!?

Galliard: Because they were going to win regardless! Time is of the essence!

Vertigo: NO! YOU MIST FIGHT MY FINAL KNIGHT! AND LET ME TELL YOU!! THIS ONE IS QUITE THE DOOSEY!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Summer&Y/N: UGHH!! SHUT UP!!

Vertigo: *cries* I was just trying to sound cool...

The final knight shined a bright white light, and came to life. It walked forward and just stood there.

Galliard: Choose your moves carefully Y/N, this knight is special.

Y/N: Special how?

Just then, a white wave of energy was sent towards you, and knocked you and Summer away.

Summer: Wait a minute *groans* that was...

Galliard: It's a reincarnate of a silver eyed warrior.

A sword of light formed in it's hand as it charged towards you and clashed with your spear. You and the knight traded blow after blow. You tried to slash across his chest but he countered and kicked you in the gut, and uppercut you into the air, breaking your mask.

Summer: Y/N!

Y/N: AGHH!!

The knight jumped up and kicked you to the ground and landed on you, burying you in it. It jumped off and you struggled to get up.

Galliard: Y/N, you can do this, find its weakness.

Y/N: I'm not sure it has one.

Galliard: Look closer.

Y/N: Huh?

You looked at the knight, and noticed the light was dying out.

Y/N: Is it losing energy?

Galliard: Now's your chance.

Y/N: Right!

You dashed towards the knight, and began to relentless flurry if attacks with your spear. The light was getting dimmer and dimmer after each passing minute. You kicked it away and aimed your palm at it, and felt a sudden rush of new power.

Y/N&Galliard: TAKE THIS!!

You released a rem spiral beam towards it and it clashed against the knights sword, pushing it into the wall. It struggled to fend off the beam, but finally, the sword of light disappeared from it's lack of energy, and the beam engulfed the knight, blasting it to nothing. You lowered your arm as your armor released.

Y/N: *pant* That was something. *pant* What was that power?

Galliard: You have a piece of Incursio right?

Y/N: Yeah.

Galliard: The powers must have fused at that instant, and formed the red spiral ray.

Y/N: So that was an attack that I would have if we were to fuse into Godzilla?

Galliard: Indeed.

???: NOOOO!!!!!!!

You looked towards the center of the room to see Vertigo on the ground, crying.

Vertigo: IT'S NOT FAIR!!! I'VE SPENT A MILLENNIUM SETTING THIS UP AND MAKING IT UNBEATABLE!! HOW DID YOU BEAT ME!?!? HOW!?!

Y/N: It's because I've got a job to do, and I don't need anything getting in my way.

Galliard: Vertigo, Salem's forces are beginning to gather for an attack. We need all the help we could get. Please, come with us.

Vertigo: Y-You want me to help you?

You and Summer nodded at his question.

Y/N: We could use all the help we can get. Please.

Vertigo: *sniffle* OHH YOU GUYS!!

He jumped up and pulled you both into a killer hug, slowly suffocating you.

Vertigo: You guys are the best!!

Y/N&Summer: C-CAN'T BREATE!

Vertigo: Oops! Sorry, hehe.

He released you and Summer emitted a light to heal the both of you.

Vertigo: *gasps* A live silver eyed warrior!? Are you single!?

Y/N: HEY! THAT'S MY WIFE!!

Vertigo: Ehh, whatever, so, Summer was it?~

*BONK*

Vertigo was holding his head as a bump formed in his hood, and you were behind him with an annoyed face.

Y/N: So, how far til we get to the artifact?

Galliard: Not far, we must break the great door that locks the artifact away. The key had turned into dust, so there's no unlocking it.

Summer: So we're one step closer to bringing you back. Wonderful.

Y/N: Yeah, can't wait to be alive.

Vertigo: You were very wise when fighting my knights, I will leave them to your disposal.

Y/N: Thanks.

Vertigo: Now then! To the chamber!! *drags both of you away, deeper into the cave*

Chibi Y/N: *annoyed* I see why you don't like him.

Galliard: I told you he was annoying.

Chibi Summer: He better let go of my head, or so help me Oum...

He talked and talked and TALKED all the way as he lead you into the cavern. You were annoyed, but canceled it out with the feeling of success.

Y/N's Thoughts: We're one step closer to being able to stop what's coming. This Salem person seems to be leading the attack. Whoever you are Salem, I'm coming for you...and I'll kill you myself.
