Timeskip, One Week

It's been a week since you died in the line of duty. Ruby and Summer took it pretty hard, but they said to themselves they wouldn't let your death stop them from living for you. They were both more than determined to fulfill the promise of changing the world for the better. They vowed as they take on the rest of the work as huntresses, to take on the dirty work, and once it was finished, they could leave behind their life of being huntresses, and live normal happy lives. Right now, it's the day after you were buried. Ruby was stood at the cliff side near her home where your headstone rests. The engraving on it said, " Y/N L/N- We'll take on the dirty work. And change the world. After we finish, we can disappear."

Ruby: Hey Dad. Just came by to say see ya, I'm heading back to Beacon now. It's going to be different with you gone, and I don't know if I'll ever get over what you did for me. But I will be the best that I can be, and use the Imperial Arms you entrusted me for good. I'll keep training, and  become stronger than ever. Right now, all I can do is summon the armor, so I'll need help from Yang to help me get better with my hand to hand combat. I won't let you down.

???: I know you won't.

Ruby: Huh?

Ruby turned around to see where the voice came from, but she found no one.

Ruby: Hello?

There was no response. Ruby turned and looked back to look at your headstone, and hung her head down in sadness, and a few tears dipped from her eyes as she held her new Incursio's Key closer to her.

???: Ohh come now, I know my little rose isn't really going to lose the spark of happiness in her. Like I said, you can do this Ruby.

Ruby: Who's there?

Red and White rose petals began to flow from the forest, and to the cliff side where she stood. The petals began to glow, and spun into a small tornado. Ruby was watching, but soon, a bright light appeared, forcing her to shield her eyes. Once the light died down, she uncovered her eyes and saw someone standing there in front of the headstone. When the person turned around, Ruby  almost went into shock when she saw that it was none other than....you, her father.

Y/N: Don't let this stop to you. Keep moving forward. *smiles*

Ruby:.....D-....Da-....Daddy!! *begins to cry*

Ruby dropped Incruiso's Key, and jumped into your arms, and you embraced your daughter who was sobbing uncontrollably in your chest.

Y/N: Shhhhhhh, it's okay. It's okay..

Ruby: D-D*sobs*Dad *sobs* I-I'm *sobs* I'm so sorry! *sobs*

Y/N: Shhhh, don't be sorry, nothing was your fault. I was the one who made the decision to pass on Incursio to you. Nothing was your fault.

Ruby: I was stupid *sobs* and fought recklessly *sobs* because of that *sobs louder*....your dead...*sobs and squeezes you tighter*

Y/N: Ruby, if you didn't accept the power, we all would've died. In losing me, you saved countless lives. I know it's going to be hard for you my little rose, but you must endure it. 

Ruby: I don't know if I can.....

Y/N: I know damn well you can. Your strong Ruby. Stronger than I ever could have imagined! The strength I saw you have when you first fought, I was surprised with how much power was in you.

Ruby: You really think I can do it?

Y/N: Ruby, I think you can do more than anything. 

Ruby: But, I can't even summon the spear or use the invisibility of the armor yet.

Y/N: It took me months just to be able to summon the spear. And even longer to use the invisibility. You can probably learn those in a shorter time. 

Ruby:.....I miss you...*tears up again*

Y/N: *Hugs Ruby* Ohh I know sweet hear, I know, I miss you more than you could imagine. I would give anything to be back in the world of the living with you two. But I'd rather give my life, than watch my own daughter's life be taken.

Ruby: Dad...*sobs*

Y/N: Don't worry, I'll always be with you. During the fight, I had given you all of my aura and life force, meaning that technically, I am bound to you, or in this case, I am one with Incursio, and it's user.

Ruby: Wait, so you're....

Y/N: I am still with you, in the spirit of Incursio. 

Ruby looked back at Incursio's Key, and picked it up.

Ruby: So you'll always be with me.

Y/N: Til the very end. 

Ruby: Can you help me?

Y/N: Of course, though, I cannot last long in a physical form, so most of the time, I will be apart of you. Put it simply, I will be in your head. So I can help you train, and become stronger. 

Ruby: I'm gonna need all the help I can get.

Y/N: That's what family is for. 

You and Ruby walked back over to the cliff side, and stared out as the sun began to set. You watched in silence, and then Ruby broke it.

Ruby: Dad? 

Y/N: Yes, what is it Ruby?

Ruby: Is there anyway we can bring you back?

Y/N: *Sighs and looks out to sunset* I don't sweetie, if there was a way for me to come back, I would take it, but as of right now, no.

Ruby: Then I'll find one.

Y/N: Huh?

Ruby: I'll find a way to bring you back. I can't live without you, and neither can mom, she's still taking it pretty hard, and I can't even get her to cheer up.

Y/N: Leave that to me okay?

Ruby: Okay.

Y/N: It's getting late, you should go get some rest. Your heading back to Beacon tomorrow. 

Ruby: Okay, will you be here when I wake up?

Y/N: I'm in your head remember? I'm gonna be with you 24/7.

Ruby: Right, sorry. 

Y/N: Hey, head up always, alright kid?

Ruby: *smiles in determination* Right.

Y/N: Alright, I'm gonna talk to your mom.

Ruby: Night dad.

Y/N: Night sweet heart.

You gave Ruby a kiss on the head, and turned back into rose petals and flew into the open window of Summer's room. You saw her laying down on her bed sleeping. She had a picture of you, her, and Ruby held to her chest. The tear stains were visible on her face. You turned back into your physical state, and walked to the side of Summer. 

Y/N's Thoughts: Ohh my love, how I wish I could be laying next to you, happy.

You caressed her cheek, and slowly, she opened her eyes. When she looked into your direction, she went wide-eyed, and began to tear up.

Summer: Y-Y/N?...

Y/N: *small smile* Hey cookie monster.

Summer leaped out of bed, and embraced you, as you held her close to you as well.

Summer: Tell me...tell me everything was a bad dream, and that your alive. *sobs*

Y/N: *Sighs* I'm sorry my love, I am no longer a part of this world. 

Summer cried as she found out that you truly were dead. But you began to speak again.

Y/N: I may be gone, but my spirit is still here. I reside inside of Incursio, and it's user.

Summer: Wait, if your attached to your swords user, then...

Y/N: I'm also part of Ruby. I'll be in her head, and I can take this form, but this form uses up a lot of my spiritual energy. 

Summer: So, you'll always be with us.

Y/N: Like I promised you, together forever.

Summer: Death can't do us part.

Y/N: Never..

You leaned forward and pressed your lips against Summer's. It was a long, loving, passionate kiss. After her need of oxygen, she pulled away panting, but kept your foreheads connected. 

Summer: I love you...

Y/N: I love you too...And if there is a way for me to return, I will find it.

Summer: Make sure to hurry, I'm missing your cookies already. *giggles and smiles* 

Y/N: *Chuckle* I know you are, my cookies are the best.

You both laughed quietly, and held each other in an embrace.

Summer: I miss you.

Y/N: I miss you too. But right now, Ruby needs as much help as she can get if she wants to continue to legacy of Incursio. She needs you Summer, and she can't get the help she needs if your in here crying. So I want you to do something for me.

You pulled away, and looked right into her silver eyes.

Y/N: Promise me no matter what, you won't let anything bring you down. Ruby needs you, now more than ever. Can you do that for me?

Summer: *wipes tears away and has a stern expression* Yes.

Y/N: Good, now, I must go, I've used too much energy.

Summer: Can I see you in the morning? 

Y/N: Of course. Goodnight.

Summer: Goodnight.

You kissed one last time, and you faded to rose petals, and flew out the window, and into Ruby's room where she was sound asleep. You went back into Incursio's Key, and Summer laid down, reassured you were still with them, no matter what.

Summer's Thoughts: Y/N, even in the afterlife, you continue to fight to stay with us. I love you so much, and won't let you down. I'll help Ruby get stronger, and I'll become stronger as well. 

Ruby's Thougts: Dad, I won't let you down. I'll continue your legacy, and become even stronger than I am now.

Y/N: *In Ruby's head* I know you will, remember, I can hear and read your thoughts.

Ruby's Thoughts: Ohh, yeah, hehe.

Y/N: *In Ruby's head* Sleep sweet heart. I love you, goodnight.

Ruby's Thoughts: I love you too, Night.

With that, Ruby went back to sleep, happy that your still with them, even though your dead. Ruby's determination grew even more, and was set on changing the world for the better, and to live up to your legacy.
