I had a lot of fun with Elijah's friends before they all left for their homes yesterday night.

My phone was ringing, I picked up "Hello"

"Hey Nina it's Sarah, how're you doing?" ....

I chuckled "Yeah I know, what's up?"

She laughed and said "Ok I got you an interview at the diner I work, so my boss said you should see him by 12, dress nice, uhmm.... what else, just be yourself okay? I'll send you the location and everything, see ya"

"Thank you so much Sarah, you're a life saver, God bless you and you won't regret helping me" I told her

"Oh come on stop it, what are friends for? Alright I gotta go and come to school early okay?"

I laughed "sure I am almost done, see you in a bit" and we hung up

I got dressed, made some toast and was ready to bounce when I bumped into something.... why do I always hit things, I thought

And then I figured it was a body, I looked up to see Elijah staring at me, I quickly muttered a "sorry". I tried sidestepping him, but he blocked my way.

I did it twice and he repeated the same action, I looked up to see him hiding his smirk, I guess he was having fun

"What are you doing?" I asked, getting frustrated already

"What do you mean? I'm trying to pass but you are blocking my way" he said feigning innocence

Alright since you think I'm in play mode.... I tried moving out of his way and he blocked me again, so I did the only thing I could think of, I stepped on his toes hard and ran out of the apartment hearing him groan out the 'f word'

I felt flustered....What just happened? I thought. I hailed a cab quickly before I got late for my class.

I got to class and I saw that Sarah kept a seat for me right beside her. "Hey good morning and thanks for the seat" I smiled

"No problem, thank God you aren't late" she said

"Why? what would have happened?" I asked

"Well it's the Anatomy class, people call the lecturer a Bruha" Sarah said

"What does that even mean?" I was confused

She laughed and replied "A witch, they say she's so mean and she takes her attendance list seriously too" so I made a mental note not to cross her path

I listened attentively in class and jotted down important notes, after the lecture, the lecturer announced that we will be having a test in the coming week....oh God, why now? I cried inside, then I and Sarah shared a look of sadness

We made our way out of the class, I checked the time and it was just 10am

"Don't worry you've got time before your interview, and it's not far from your place and the school" Sarah said

"Yeah, where are we headed?" I asked

"I don't know, let's just walk around, oh wait, you need to meet some of my friends, Trisha and Nadia" she said

"You have a friend named Trisha too?" I asked
"Yeah why? Do you know one?" She asked

"Actually yes I got to know her yesterday, she's Elijah's friend, my housemate that is, but she's white" I replied

"Oh my, yeah Trisha went out with a couple of friends to Wolseley yesterday, uhh... you stay there too?"

I nodded "Yeah" ....

"Oh I know Elijah too, he's in the medical department and a braniac that one, I didn't realise you guys were living together "

"Yeah, wait are you guys friends? you and Elijah I mean and how do you know his department?" I asked her

"Yeah we're cool, but not close and I know he's in that department cause he schools here too, why are you asking?" She replied looking at me like what kind of question is that

"Uh nothing, maybe later, but it's 11:30 already, I need to leave for the diner, see you later" I said with a small smile... how can he school here too? God what kind of fate is this?

"Oh sure, just call me to tell me how it goes or when you get back okay? Don't forget it's Biggies Chops alright?"

"Yeah thanks again, please could you sign the attendance list for the other classes. I better hurry now, byeeee" I said running out of school

"Yeah sure and good luck" she yelled after me

I got there and a lady was at the cashier spot, so I approached her "Hello, good afternoon, I'm looking for Mr Henry Mark, the manager of this diner please"

She gave a straight face before she asked coldly "Why do you want to see him?"

Well who pissed in her cereal.... I smiled and said "Sarah my friend is an employee here, so she directed me here to see your manager for the interview, you can call her if you want " I said sweetly

"Alright let me confirm first" she said and called whoever, they spoke for a while and then she said "walk down a bit, the office on your left is Henry's office, good luck"

"Alright thank you" I replied and followed her directions while checking out the place....nice interior set up.

I knocked on the door twice, I heard a 'come in' from the other side of the door, I entered and there sat Mr Henry

"Good afternoon Mr Henry, I'm Nina Ishmael, one of your employees, Sarah directed me here" I said

"Hello Miss Ishmael, it's a pleasure to meet you, please do have a seat" he replied while smiling

After thirty minutes...........

The interview was very quick and it went well, he was nice all through and I got the job and was told to start tomorrow.....luck is in my favour I guess

I realized I could still head back to school, so I called Sarah to meet up in the cafeteria, a few minutes later, she walked in with two ladies, and Trisha was one of them.

They walked up to me and both Sarah and Trisha hugged me except their last friend who I thought to be Nadia was looking confused.

I smiled and extended my hand out for a handshake "Hi, I'm Nina, you must be Nadia"

She replied with a smile "Oh you're the Nina that Sarah told me about"

"I guess I am, it's nice to meet you" I laughed "Same here" Nadia replied

So we all went to get our food and sat down to eat, we talked about random things, until Sarah asked "Nina how did the interview go? It was pretty fast though, Did he take you? Why didn't you even tell me?"

I laughed and said "Jeez Sarah calm down, I was going to tell you later, anyway I got the job and a big thanks to you, I really appreciate what you did for me"

"Awww you're welcome sweetheart, Oh! Incase I forget, should we study together for the Anatomy test coming up next week, cause I'll love to" she replied

"Oh ok no problem, where should we meet?" I asked

"Your apartment will do just fine, so I can get to know your place and we could bond more or we can switch places, like coming to my room, going to your apartment or the library, if you want?"

"Yeah I get it, that's cool with me" I said noticing Trisha and Nadia were discussing something else, I sort of heard Elijah's name

"Hey Sarah and Nina, can you contribute to this please?" Asked Trisha

"Uhmm ok sure" ..... " What's the problem?" We both said. Trisha nudged Nadia to explain

Then she started "I and Elijah actually have something going on, well I like him, but I don't feel him reciprocating the feelings. All he wants from me is just sex, which he made clear from the onset, but I can't seem to stay away from him. You know yesterday at the party, he was with Dorathy again and he didn't even give a crap about my presence, I confronted him about it today and he just brushed me off like it was nothing" she teared up

Trisha exclaimed " What the fuck is wrong with him sometimes?" and a few heads turned towards our direction

Oh God I wonder how I met these girls I thought, so I said nothing but stared, if only she knew I live with him and I wonder why Sarah and Trish didn't mention it

"He's a dick, but we told you to stay away from him Nadia, he only hurts you but you keep going back, he isn't worth it" Sarah spoke

"I second that" Trisha said, I just smiled and shook my head indicating I agree with them

"Is it a bad thing that I care about him so much?" Nadia said

"No, but you need to get the hint when someone shows you mean nothing to them, and you deserve better " Trisha told her

I and Sarah both looked at her like Ouch! that was mean girl. I mean I'm one blunt mother effer, but I think Trisha is the boss.

Trisha said "what? I'm just saying the truth" and rolled her eyes

Then I spoke "look Nadia, we just met and all and maybe it's not my business, but I hate to admit that what Trisha said was right, in the sugar coated form though, just try and forget him, it's not easy but at least try"

Nadia nodded her head, she stood up and left the cafeteria in a rush, ignoring our calls".

"She's a stubborn lady that one" Trisha shook her head in disappointment

"Come on Trisha that's enough" I and Sarah both said.

"Alright let's go" she replied

The day ended with no sight of Nadia and we three bade each other goodbye. I got to the door of my apartment and opened it

What I saw almost had me gasping for breath.......

The 'Bruha' word was from Bad boys 3, if you guys have watched it, I love that movie, Lmao.

And the diner name, weird right, that was all that came to my head😂😂
