Here I am standing in front of the mirror, looking at my twin reflection dressed in an off the shoulder, knee length African native dress, ready to visit Elijah's mom.

It's been a month since I and him have been together. Been an adventurous ride filled with fun times, romantic moments, fights and make ups

So far, I haven't regretted my decision. I have been able to get used to his mood swings and all. He has also been trying so hard to work on himself

Last week he finally wanted me to meet his mother and little brother which I am getting ready for now. I wouldn't lie, I was surprised and happy at the same time

Since my first encounter with his mom was a good one, nothing to fidget about right?.

So much has happened within the span of a month. I smiled remembering the times we studied for our exams together, he would distract me so much that it leads to something hot and steamy, never gone beyond make outs though

Sarah and Lami are getting deeper and with the looks of it, it might be leading to marriage. Well Trish and Jamie, still good, while Travis is still trying to get Jess's attention, she's a hard head that one

"What are you thinking of?" Elijah whispered, startling me and breaking me out of my trance. I smiled at him and shook my head shyly

He kissed my neck "Are you sure it's nothing, because I've been standing at the door for the past thirty minutes and you didn't even acknowledge me"

I turned and chuckled, putting my hands round his shoulders "Really, it's nothing, just thinking about how one month has come and gone and we're still here together "

"Yeah I get you babe, time runs pretty fast, but I'm here aren't I?" He said

I smiled nodding "Yeah you are" we kissed

"You look beautiful by the way" he commented, nuzzling his face in my neck

"Thanks, but we need to go" I tried moving, but he held me still. "Elijah? Come on"

"Just a few more minutes babe" he was taking what he was doing further and I knew where it was leading to

"As tempting as it sounds, I don't want to be late, I just wanna go and come back early " I finally released myself from his hold and patted his cheek, leaving him to get my heels

We were about leaving when I got a phone call from Sarah. "Hey babes, what's up?" I asked

"Nina, where are you? We need to talk"
She replied sounding frantic

"Uhmm what's the problem Sarah?" As I signalled Elijah to start driving, he gave me the what's going on look and I shook my head, signifying everything is fine

"I can't say it on the phone, but it's about Trish. Just get your ass over here" she said, already getting annoyed

I chuckled "Alright woman, I'll drop by later, I told you I was going to see Elijah's mom this weekend remember?"

"Oh, Schucks! True, okay just drop by later then, have fun " she hung up

Rude much... I sighed and found Elijah staring at me. "What?" I blushed

He smiled "Nothing, what's the deal with Sarah?"

"Oh yeah, she said it's about Trish, she sounded like something bad happened though, but I'll drop by on our way home" I squeezed his hand

I noticed he tensed up "what's wrong babe? Did I do or say something wrong?"

He smiled nervously and shook his head " Nah you didn't, let's just focus on meeting my mom" taking my hand and kissing it

I smiled, but I wasn't assured, I have this weird feeling that something isn't right. I'll find out later

We got to their place and it was a beautiful two storey building in a lovely neighbourhood.... wow they really adapted well

Elijah slid his hand around my waist, leading me towards the gate and the door. I noticed a few cars.... looks like they have guests over

"You have a beautiful place, you really adapted well " I told him

Scratching his head shyly, he replied "thanks". We rang the doorbell, it opened revealing a young guy. If I didn't know better, I would have guessed they were related being that they share a resemblance

He smiled and lunged himself at Eli "Hey bro, I missed you so much " he said and I chuckled.... Aww, how sweet

Elijah looked happy as well, I could see it from the way he reciprocated the hug, even though he's trying hard to hide it. I smiled at him

"And you must be the beautiful non stop talked about Nina " he said, putting out his hand for a handshake

I blushed returning his handshake "Yeah I am Nina, nice to meet you and you are?"

"Joshua, but you can call me Josh and Elijah's one and only brother" he smirked

I laughed "yeah, I instantly picked up on it immediately I saw you, it's really nice to meet you"

He beamed shyly like he was asking his crush out "Can you by chance let us in my home? And stop flirting with my girlfriend"

We traced the voice to Eli.. "Sorry please forgive my manners, come in" Josh apologized

I threw a glare his way. "can't you be nice all through?"

"He's my brother babe, we get each other. So quit worrying and let's go" he said ushering me in

Immediately I got in, I gasped looking at the interior and the dining filled with all sorts of snacks and African dishes. I had to ask "is there a party today?"

He chuckled "no babe, we always have barbecue sundays, you know like Thanksgiving"

"Ooh that's nice, I suddenly feel hungry. But you don't go to church babe" I said

"I seldom do, and my mom and brother goes, I think all these are stressful and I don't like stress"

"Woah coming from a medical..." I was cut short by a hug " oh Nina, I'm so glad you are here. I've missed you, oh wow the native vibe, I love your outfit"

I smiled back and thanked her and was ready to kneel down, when she drew me back up "I told you, we don't do that here"

I chuckled and hugged her again... I did miss her, she reminds me of my mom
"I missed you too ma and you have a lovely home, hope you've been good"

"Yes dear and thank you, I see you dragged this stubborn child here and you even made him wear native too" she went over and hugged her son which made me smile

"Come here child, I'll show you around"
She said while dragging me with her

I had fun, I felt welcomed with people complimenting my dress, indeed she really liked me, even Josh was super sweet to me and we quickly got along. At a point, Eli got pissed because he didn't get to spend enough time with me

He had to drag me to his room and locked us in there. We did unspeakable things, an impatient bull that boy. I didn't want to leave cause I was happy, but I had to

Here we are seated in his car, on our way to Sarah's. I smiled recalling our heated session

He had me up against the wall, kissing me all the way down and up again.. "You have no idea how much I want to rip this clothes off you " he whispered in my ear, biting it. I let out a soft moan

He trailed his hands down to middle of my thighs, he was teasing me and sucking on my neck. "Elijah" I let out hoarsely

He unzipped my gown, letting it fall to the ground. I wasn't wearing a bra, before I knew it, he latched onto one of my nipples, that had me sending my head backwards

He found his way to my entrance and started rubbing me while still giving my breasts the attention they needed, he slid one finger in, making me gasp and I was shaking

No like something was literally shaking me right now... "Babe wake up, we are here, babe"

My eyes fluttered open to see Elijah staring at me in a confused way. So I was remembering in my sleep

"Nothing, just come in. Can you give us a minute please? We won't waste your time or I can bring her home" she told Eli

I looked at him to know if he was cool with it "Yeah...uh..uhmm.yeah sure, I'll be waiting in the car " he rambled and quickly scurried away

Well that was weird... I entered and saw a depressed Trish at the corner of the room

I quickly went to her, "omg Trish what's going on?" Silence "Trish, trish? Please talk to me "

"Sarah what's happening? Why did you call me here?" Still silent and Sarah bowed her head in disappointment

I was getting impatient and pissed already, so I yelled "Can you guys speak up or I leave!!"

"We're so sorry Nina, okay Trish and Jamie broke up" she said

"Okay? Why're you now saying sorry? It should be Trish we should be sympathizing with and not me" then I turned over to Trish and held her hand in a comforting way

"Trish it happens, I know Jamie loves you, he'll come back, I know he will. You just have to be str...."

"Nina you don't understand " Sarah cut me short

I was confused "Then make me understand, I'm lost here incase you have no idea"

She sighed "Trish tell her or should I?" She was silent "Trish I know what you're going through right now, but you promised to tell her, that's why we called her here right?"

"What are you not telling me guys?" She adjusted herself in sitting position and wiped her face, she looked at me and tried to speak up, but she started sobbing hard again

I felt bad for her, Jamie's break up with her must have really hurt, so I hugged her tight and she reciprocated "I'm so sorry Nina, it was a mistake "

I was still confused "what's a mistake?"

She looked at Sarah, I did too and saw Sarah signalling her to speak

She sighed "the reason why I and Jamie broke up was because..." she sniffed
"Was because I and Elijah had an affair"
