We got in, I was about walking back to the kitchen when Elijah stopped me by holding my hand, goosebumps already making their way around my skin, I looked at his hand and then at him to be sure if it was a mistake or not

"Uh.. uh what are you doing?" I asked him
"I heard all what my mom told you today?" He asked

I let out a nervous laughter "I'm lost, what are you talking about?"
"You don't remember all the things she said to you today?" He asked

"Oh yeah, all that, sure ok, so what should I do since you heard" no wonder he took so long with the water

"Actually, I just want to tell you she said what she wanted to say, this is my life and I choose how I want to live it, I don't need any outsider trying to dictate shit about my life, do you understand me?" Looking at me with a straight face

He freed my hand and turned to leave
"You can't just leave without hearing my reply" that stopped him from going any further

"One thing you're right about is the fact that your life ain't my business, yes cause I have mine and a whole lot to deal with. But you should be thankful you have a mom who cares so much and wants the best for you, I don't know what has gone wrong in your life, past or present and I don't know why you changed so much, but at least stop being a sadistic jerk to your mother and grow up, coz I don't even know where to start from in the changing process with you when you don't even want to let anyone in, it's so sad you turned out this way"

He just stood there glaring at me, I quickly walked away to continue what I was doing before something goes wrong.

What am I going to do now, it's like a new responsibility was placed on my shoulder, I'm just gonna be making up stories for her, that should do it, coz I've got my own life to live. I was in deep thought that I didn't know Elijah already left, the slamming of the door brought me back to reality

I sighed and quickly finished what I was doing, went to my room to change, I made and ate dinner but still no sight of Elijah until I went to bed

I was waking up in between intervals the next day, it's 11am and I'm fully awake, cleaned my room and arranged some stuffs, you know just to keep it perfect

I got in my robe, carried my bathing bag and left the room to go to the bathroom, I was at the door of the bathroom when I heard laughter and voices coming from the living room

I ignored it and opened the door, then I heard his voice, hmm so he's back? yes stupid who else would have invited guests in the house. I should go but I want to see his face, I don't know why.

I tip toed gently to the wall of the living room, showing my head slightly to peep, I saw Elijah with Dora sitting on his laps and Lami talking

I stopped peeping and rested on the wall, touching my chest, I felt a bit sad seeing Dora with him, gosh I shouldn't be feeling this way, I closed my eyes and sighed

Opening it, Lami was right in front of me trying to hold his laughter. I screamed "Oh my God, Lami stop doing this please" I cried out touching my chest and breathing out

I saw Elijah and Dora rushed to see what's going on. Lami was still laughing "it's the second time I'm seeing you in this state and scaring you"

I hit his arm playfully "you'll give me a heart attack ".... "well well well, princess Aurora is awake, never thought you would wake up" Dora said smirking

I sighed and smiled "did you miss my face Dora" asking her sarcastically and ignoring her, she scrunched her face in annoyance, I was looking at Elijah, then I muttered "looks like you finally came home" he was looking intensely at me too not replying.

Lami cleared his throat, I looked away to break the stare "see you guys around, I need to have my bath" I turned to leave making sure I added more sway to my walking steps before entering the bathroom

Maybe it was high time I started showing how I feel towards him, maybe he'll be able to get the hint that I still care about him so much

Here I am on my bed, bored as fuck with my books in front of me, I didn't know what to do, I can't even assimilate what I'm reading again, I wanted to go out and have fun, but what's my idea of fun anyway

I sighed sadly, knowing the kind of boring life I live. I dialled Sarah's number hoping we could hang out or something

She picked up after a few rings "whad up bitch?"
"Heyyyy Saaraaah" I cried out

"Oh my God!! What happened? What's going on? Is it Elijah? Are you okay" she asked all at once

I burst out laughing "okay that's weird, what's going on with you Nina?" she asked

"You're making me laugh, look at how you rushed me with questions, Aww u love me so much"

"Yeah right, in your dreams" I laughed, I can feel her rolling her eyes at me

"So what's the problem? Why the sudden call" she asked
"I'm bored out of my mind here, can I come over, maybe we could hangout?" I said

"Aww, poor baby, now that you brought it up, there's a nice African-Canadian club recently opened in town, why don't I, you and Trish go check it out" she suggested

I don't think I want to go drink, but I can just have one drink though... "Is Nina there?" Sarah called out

"Yeah, yeah I'm here, alright, but I don't really have a club outfit" I told her
"That shouldn't be a problem, we'll figure something out, just get your ass over here"

"Alright I'm coming " I cut the call, checked the time and saw 5:45pm, I got up to get dressed, I wore a free grey knicker, big black top and my black slides, rearranged my room and left the room

I was about stepping out when Elijah came out shirtless and only in sweats, I couldn't help but look down, I licked my lips out of reflex, oh God what's wrong with me. I looked up to see him staring at me with one brow raised up

My throat felt dry, I cleared my throat "uhmm... uh.. I am uhmm.. I am going to Sarah's, I might come back late"
I don't know why I told him, but I did anyway

"So why're you telling me?" He asked looking confused
"I don't know too, just felt like, anyway see you later" I said and left
