A few hours later, when it was growing to be evening, Jay, Zane, and Jackson had joined the others in the game room.

“Hey guys. Wanna join us next round?” Lloyd asked as he attacked Kai’s character

The word WINNER went across the screen as Lloyd beat Kai in the round.

“Sure.” Jay said cheerfully

“Don't worry, I'll go easy on you Zane.” Kai said with a grin

“If you say so.” Zane said as he set up his character.

Soon Jackson, Loriah, and Lloyd finished their battles with wins. Now it was Kai and Zane's turn, while Jay headed off to go make dinner.

Ready...Set...Fight!, the screen said.

Kai and Zane then fought; with Zane defeating Kai.

“What the what!?” Kai said as he lost

Everybody else laughed.

“Dude! You got destroyed by the one who didn't know how to play this two weeks ago.” Lloyd laughed
Kai then blushed bright, red.

A week later was when true trouble arose.

Lloyd had woken up early from a recurring nightmare. Unable to fall asleep again, he laid there and stared at the ceiling. All he could recall from the nightmare were evil, living shadows. A moment later there was a loud bang and part of Lloyd's wall shook.

“Zane must have rolled outta bed again.” Lloyd thought as he climbed out of his own bed.

He smoothed down his green pajamas before opening the door of his room. Lloyd quietly tiptoed out of his room and over to Zane's room. He carefully opened the door and was greeted by a cool, rush of air. Lloyd surveyed the room and found a mass of blankets on the floor by the bed. He carefully walked in and saw a bit of silver within the blankets. Zane then popped up from under the blankets, his blue eyes dimmed.

“Zane you ok?” Lloyd whispered

Zane jumped, tangling himself in the mass of blankets again. He quickly untangled himself and stood up.

“I am fine, Lloyd. I hope I didn't wake you up.” Zane whispered sincerely

“No biggie. I was up already.” Lloyd whispered back

“How come you were up?” Zane quietly questioned

“Stuff.” Lloyd said with a shrug

There was then the blast of seven alarm clocks as sunlight begun to peek through the window. There were groans all throughout the bounty.

“Looks like we won't be going back to sleep again.” Lloyd said as Zane shut off his clock.

Lloyd headed out of Zane's room and back to his to get ready.

Everyone finished up breakfast and went out to the deck.

“Alright guys. Today instead of training, we are going to split up and patrol the City.” Lloyd announced a he looked at them all.

“Who gets to go with who?” Loriah asked

“Kai, Cole and Nya, you three will patrol the outskirts of the city. Loriah, Jay, Zane, you all and I will patrol the city by ground. After that we'll regroup back here, at the bounty, to try and find the remaining elemental stones.” Lloyd instructed

“How do we patrol without getting caught up by the crazed fans?” Jay questioned

“We're ninja you dork. Don't you think sneaking around is a part of the job.” Loriah said sarcastically

“Hehe...yeah…” Jay said sheepishly

“Jackson and Echo will be in the bridge to keep up communications if needed.” Lloyd added

All the ninja turned on their communicators before taking off, with Loriah riding with Lloyd. Kai, Cole, and Nya went away from the city while the others went towards it.

“Jay, you and Loriah are going to check on the upper part of the city. Zane and I will take the lower part.” Lloyd said as they begun to descend, before each making their dragons vanish.

They each then split up.

“Everything looks all good out here.” Cole said to Kai and Nya.

“Yea, this one was easy. Not much happens out here.” Kai agreed

“Let's go help the others up in the city.” Nya suggested

The three agreed and made their dragons before taking flight towards Ninjago City.

“Jay see anything suspicious?” Loriah asked as they snuck behind a building

“Other than this building's wood is rotting. Yuck!” Jay said half joked
Loriah scoffed and rolled her eyes.

“Jackson, Echo can you hear me?” Loriah asked into her communicator as she and Jay hid in the shadows.

“Loud and clear!” Echo’s voice said

“Of course I hear you.” Jackson’s voice said
Loriah swore she could hear him grinning.

“Upper part of the City is all good. Nothing unusual.” Loriah reported to the two of them

There was then a typing noise.

“Looks like Kai, Cole, and Nya are headed to your location.” Jackson’s voice told them

Loriah gave an ok, before there was then a dragon roar. Loriah and Jay carefully left the building and found Kai, Nya, and Cole making their dragons disappear.

“Hey guys!” Jay said loudly, making everybody shush him

“What's up?” Loriah questioned

“The outskirts are all clear. We came to help you guys out.” Kai explained

“We just finished our patrol. Lloyd and Zane are in the lower parts of the city. Have any of you gotten a message from them? It's been a while.” Loriah asked with slight concern

“No.” all of them replied

There was then a loud, static sound coming from all their communicators.

“Any..one...there…?” Lloyds voice asked, all static and panicked sounding

“Lloyd, its us. Whats wrong? Where's Zane?” Kai questioned quickly

“Went...trap...shadows….” Zane's voice answered, the same static and panic sounding as Lloyd's

“Need...backup...abandoned...noodle...shop..” Lloyd's voice said

There was then a yell and a clanking sound before all the sound cut out. All the ninja looked at eachother fearfully.

“Let's go. The only abandon noodle shop I know of is off of 7th street.” Cole said with determination

They all headed off. Several minutes later they arrived at the shop. On the outside it looked rather new. The ninja headed in and they flipped on their hoods. The inside reeked of chemicals and rotten wood. The walls seemed rather intacked.

“Lloyd? Zane?” Nya called out

“Holy cow! Guys you better take a look at this.” Jay called from another room.

All the others headed into the room Jay was in, and they all gasped.
Part of the wall had been covered in ice. There were burn marks in some of the yellowing wallpaper; they looked like they had been made by a blast of energy.

Kai rubbed his hand over several claw marks that had been made in the wall near him.

“Guys, I don't think Lloyd and Zane were here alone.” Kai said as he headed back over by the others.

They then found Lloyds katana stuck in the ground, with the handle half broken. Loriah found Zane's shurikens stuck in a wall, with bits of an almost black looking blood on them.

The more the five of them looked around, the more struggle they found in the room.

“Oh my gosh.” Cole whispered as he looked aghast when looking at the floor on the opposite side of the room.

There were  puddles of blood, some almost black looking; others bright red. One of them having a small piece of green fabric in it.

“It seems like they were ambushed.” Loriah said softly

Jay then walked over to a small almost black puddle, and picked something up that was in it.
“Guys..” Jay said softly as he headed back over to them and showed them the object.

The others took a sharp intake of breath as they looked at it. It was the necklace Jackson had given to Zane. They all had never seen Zane take it off. Yet here it was; the chain broken and the pendent dripping in blood.
“Lloyd and Zane weren't just ambushed...they were captured.” Cole said grimly

A dark, almost shadow-like figure came into view.

“Master Spar. We have done as you asked. We have the green one and the white one.” they rasped
Spar turned from looking a the blank scroll on the table.

“Good. Put them in the cell. Toss in a supply pack as well. I want to be their destroyer not them being destroyed by injured.” Spar said to the shadow

The shadow then left down to a cell.

“In you go you fruit colored pests.” it rasped before tossing in an unconscious Zane and Lloyd, before throwing in a backpack and a hard drive.

Another shadow appeared out of the darkness. Moving swiftly they snapped on chains made of venge stone to each of the ninja. They both sneered before leaving, slamming the door shut behind them. Both ninja gave a soft groan, neither awakening.
