“How do you think they managed to crush vengestone?” Lloyd asked as he disarmed a sparring dummy

“Good question. But now it just makes makes the mission a bit more challenging. Best we be even more careful now.” His sister replied as she sharpened both sides of her katana

“Well I for one am not a fan of any of them.” Cress said as she rubbed the faded mark on her neck

Jay and Kai then came in.

“Everybody all good?” Jay asked

“Other than sore, everything's fine Jay.” Nya said with a smile

“Who's turn is it to cook?” Kai asked as he looked at the clock

“Me! I plan to make my special tuna surprise!” Cole said cheerfully

He turned his back for a moment and all the others made gag faces.

“How about I cook tonight?” Jay offered before she left

Cole quickly raced after him saying, “I’ll help you out!”

All the others facepalmed.

Jackson spun around in his swivel chair. He was in his full size lab, examining the new way they used vengestone. He poured all the excess into a fresh jar and labeled it. Jackson slid his chair over to the shelf and placed on there.

He then slid back over to his desk, thinking about everything. He typed away at his computer and soon found himself humming an old song. A few minutes later, Jackson started saying it aloud.

“Dang, who knew?
All the planes we flew
Good things we've been through
That I'll be standing right here talking to you
'Bout another path
I know we loved to hit the road and laugh
But something told me that it wouldn't last
Had to switch up
Look at things different, see the bigger picture
Those were the days
Hard work forever pays
Now I see you in a better place” he sung aloud

“How can we not talk about family when family's all that we got?
Everything I went through you were standing there by my side
And now you gon' be with me for the last ride.” Zane sang

Jackson looked up and saw Zane leaning on the side of the doorway, grinning.

“Still got it?” He asked with a playful smile

“Always.” Jackson teased back

They both looked at each other with grins.

“First you both go out your way
And the vibe is feeling strong
And what's small turn to a friendship
A friendship turn to a bond
And that bond will never be broken
The love will never get lost (and the love will never get lost)
And when brotherhood come first
Then the line will never be crossed
Established it on our own

The both high fives.

“We’re still just that good.” Jackson said with a grin

“True, seeing that it has been a bit of time.” Zane replied with a smile

Jackson then fingered a Bo staff.

“When do you plan on telling the others?” Zane asked as he watched him

“Not for a bit.” Jackson asked as he set the staff aside

“You should at least talk to Sensei about it.” Zane countered

“I was thinking about the two of us talking to him once the others went to bed.” Jackson answered

“That is an excellent idea.” Zane said

Zane watched Jackson play around with the staff for a bit before the two left when their names were called for dinner.

Loriah headed upstairs. It was late now and everyone else was in bed. She could heard the guy's snores from the top of the stairs. Loriah noticed that Sensei's light was on, the light seeping through the crack of the door. She walked passed and was about to head into her room, until one voice caught her attention.

“I did it in the forest when we were giving a chase.”

Jackson. Loriah stopped for a moment to try and hear what else was going on. Maybe this explained why Jackson seemed a bit off since they got back.

“Interesting.” she heard Sensei say

“Perhaps I could train him before the others? As Lloyd did with Loriah.” she heard Zane offer

‘Train him? What did that mean?’ Loriah wondered

“Very good idea Zane. I am sure Jackson will learn quickly.” Loriah heard Sensei then say

“Thank you Sensei Wu.”

“Before you two leave, I think you will need this." she heard Sensei say before she left and went into her room.

Loriah heard the doors open and close as she laid in bed. She was trying to piece everything together. What did they mean about all of that? What was Jackson and Zane hiding?
Loriah drifted off asleep with many questions and very few answers.

Spar drummed his fingers as he waited for the shadow to come. A few minutes later, the shadow appeared.

“I have important news for you, Master.” The shadow said with a grin as he bowed

“What is it?” Spar questioned

“There is a new ninja is on the rise. A boy.” The shadow said

“Is there now? Who is training him?” Spar questioned, interested

“That silver one. The white ninja.” The shadow answered

“Interesting…” Spar said

“That would mean a new stone would be showing itself.” Spar muttered

Two more stones would ensure the arrival of everything.

“Keep watch on them further. Ensure they get every stone. Make sure you aren't spotted, especially since there are two walking computers on there.” Spar commanded

The shadow bowed before disappearing.

“Oh ninja, you just keep making my job better and better.” Spar sneered

Loriah kept her eyes out for anything unusual between Zane and Jackson. The most she noticed was that Jackson was a hair more jumpy. Loriah also noticed that he was becoming increasingly better with a staff and katana.

It wasn't until a week after she had overheard the conversation, did she find out it's meaning.

Loriah woke up in the middle of the night. She slipped out of her room and went downstairs for a drink. Kai was a decent cook, but he definitely overspices the food.

She got herself a glass of water. For a moment all Loriah heard was the sound of crickets. Then faintly, there was clinking of metal. Intrigued, Loriah set the glass down and listened. There was a faint crash that sounded like it was coming from below.

Loriah quietly made her way out onto the deck, the moonlight shining on her pajamas. She tiptoed downstairs, heading below deck. She gently made a small flame in the palm of her hand and looked down the hall. At the end she saw the old training room with the light on. She crept down and peered in; making the flame vanish.

Within the room was Zane and Jackson. Jackson was wearing a light grey ninja gi.

“What are you two doing?” Loriah asked as she made herself visible in the doorway.

Zane jumped in surprise and Jackson gave a soft yelp. When he yelped he vanished before reappearing on Zane's other side.

“You have elemental powers.” Loriah said with a gasp

Jackson fidgeted for a moment before speaking.

“Yeah, I do. I just learned about them when Zane and I were setting up the trap against the morphs. When we were giving them the chase, one of them morphed back into their human form. They ended up throwing a dagger at me, and Zane couldn't freeze it fast enough. Right before it hit me, I vanished and reappeared in front of Zane.” Jackson explained

“I have been training Jack to help him use a weapon and his powers.” Zane said

“So if you can reappear and vanish, would you be able to control light?” Loriah asked with interest

“Haha, nah. Sensei said I am the Master of Steam. I can control three elements; smoke, fog, and steam. Smoke seems to be my main element I think.” Jackson answered

“That's awesome! Have you told the others?”

“Not yet. I have it arranged with Sensei about that.” Jackson replied

“Loriah could you please, please keep it a secret for now?” Jackson asked with pleading eyes

“Of course. I respect your wishes.” Loriah said with a smile

She rubbed a bit of sleep out of her eyes.

“Well you guys finish up your training. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Loriah said before she headed out

She then peeked back in.

“Zane, train Jackson well. I want him to be ready for his first sparring match against me.” Loriah added with a grin

Jackson grinned back as he held his staff.

"Sure thing.” Zane said with a nod

Loriah then headed back to bed.

“She is a priceless one.” Zane commented before Jackson vanished and appeared behind him, managing to tackle Zane.

“That's why she is the best.” Jackson replied with a grin as he managed to successfully pin Zane in place.

Jackson: So what do you all think of me now with powers?
