A/N: Hiya! I'm kinda back. For a bit. So this is pretty good size to make up for about a two week absence on this. Life gets frustrating to the point you want to pull your hair and scream. “Oh gosh! Holy spinjitzu master!” Jay screamed as he was pulled to the ground.

Kai stood there torn between laughing, running to get the others, or calling Zane off. Echo was the one that quickly intervened.

“Zane! Drop Jay!” Echo cried out as he pulled on the shirt of Jay's gi.

The wolf gave off a slight whine before releasing the blue Ninja's hood. He looked up showing his two different colored eyes, one lime green and the other icy blue. Jay quickly took advantage of his freedom and scrambled to his feet.

Zane then sat down and looked like he was sulking.

“Thank you...Echo..” Jay said as he panted slightly and gave a glare towards Kai. Kai gave a small shrug in return.

“Mhmmm.” Echo said as though he was thinking.

Echo was about to say something until Jackson then came downstairs.

“Is everything alright? There was a lot of noise upstairs that was coming from down here.” He asked as he walked in.

Jackson then looked taken back.

“When did you get a wolf?” Jackson asked confused as looked at the silver wolf.

“Uhh….funny story about that..” Kai said before he pushed Jay in front of him

Jackson looked closely at the wolf, from the purple markings to the two different colored eyes.

“Wait a minute..where’s Zane? He came down to tell you that he found what you were looking for.” Jackson asked suspiciously

Zane then lifted a paw and pawed at Jackson’s leg. Then it clicked.

“Bark twice if you’re Zane.” Jackson stated

The wolf then bounced up and barked twice.

Jackson quickly turned around and looked at Jay.

“What did you do?” Jackson asked in a deadly tone

“Why don’t you think it’s Kai or anyone else?” Jay whined

“Because they would not be tugging on their gi belt out of nervousness.” Jackson said pointly

“Drats.” Jay muttered.

Jay then explained everything to Jackson. In the meantime Zane sat beside Echo, as though he was simply waiting.
By the time Jay finish explaining everything, Jackson was silent.

“Jay…..I’ll give you a 10 seconds head start..” Jackson said cooly

“For what?” Jay said, slightly scared

“Before I come after you and disassemble your atoms.” Jackson said

With a yelp, Jay ran out and Jackson darted right after him. Zane made an odd noise that sounded similar to laughing.

“Is he...laughing?” Kai asked as he looked confused at the wolf

“Yep, very much so.” Echo said with a smile.

There was then a few minutes of quiet, other than Jay’s yells from above. Kai, then headed up to go let the others know what went down; leaving Echo and Zane together. Zane then made several different pitched whines that Echo was about to quickly translate.

“Echo it’s alright, we don’t blame you.” Zane’s voice said

“We both know you didn’t want this to happen.”  Pixal’s voice added

Echo perked up some. He could still talk to them! Sure the others probably couldn’t understand a thing Zane and Pixal where both saying but at least he could. He then sat down in front of the wolf and made several different pitches of his own.

“Are you both alright though?” Echo asked in wolf, which he found quiet similar to dog just with deeper sounds.

“It hurts slightly but we both have been through worse.” the two said together and Echo could almost hear their smiles.

“Should I tell the others?” Echo then asked

“You will have to at some point, otherwise they will begin to question where Zane disappeared to.” Pixal reasoned

“But we’ll be right by your side. There’s nothing to fear.” Zane’s voice added

“I'll take your word for it.” Echo said with a slight sigh

Echo then started walking up the stairs, with Zane and Pixal close behind him. The wolf stumbled a couple times having been used to climbing up stairs with two legs compared to four.

The moment Echo reached the top of the stairs he was ambushed with questions by the other two boys.

“Is Zane alright?”

“How did it happen?"

“Can you fix him?”

“Can you reverse the effects?”

Echo trembled slightly while being bombarded with questions. Zane/Pixal made it fully up the stairs before then seeing the situation.

Within seconds Zane fully took control, the green turning blue. He trotted over to Echo and sat in front of him. He then gave a low, deep growl towards the other ninja. Cole and Lloyd jumped back in surprise, and backed away.

Echo then sighed as evening sunlight casted an orange glow over the bounty.

“I'm just gonna head to bed. Bye.” Echo mumbled before he disappeared up to his room

All of them watched him head off. Zane bared his teeth at the other two and gave another deep growl as if saying 'You bloody idiots’, before scampering up the stairs and vanished above deck.

Echo laid on his bed, his back facing the door with his head under his pillow. He had already felt bad and now he purely felt a thousand times worse. Especially seeing that he had no idea if he truly could fix all of this.

Echo heard the door creek open a bit.

“I want to be left alone right now.” Echo said muffled under the pillow.

The door then shut. Echo suddenly felt a large weight down on the foot of his bed. He pulled his head out from under the pillow, messing up his hair more, and turned to see what the problem was. At the foot of his bed, he saw Zane sitting there looking at him, only this time both eyes were lime green.  Echo sat up a bit and stayed quiet.

“What happened?” Echo then asked

“They are downstairs still. Zane is ranting about them at the moment.”  Pixal’s voice replied

Echo smiled a little.

“What's he saying? I can't hear.”

Pixal went quiet for a moment before replying.

“Could they act any more idiotic!? Couldn't they have seen Echo has gone through enough!? Ohhhh when I'm back they are going to be in for it….”

“It's probably for the best that I took over and you can't hear him.” She replied and Echo grinned

His grin the faded before he looked crestfallen.

“What the matter?” Pixal questioned

“What if I can't do it? What if you guys are stuck like that? What if...I fail?” Echo whimpered as he looked down at his blanket.

“No. Don't think like that.”

Echo looked up in surprise to hear his brother's voice chime in.

“Finish your ranting about them?”

“For now….Ec is a greater importance.”

One of the lime green eyes then shifted to icy blue.

“Now, Ec, don't think so negatively​ like that.” Zane stated

Echo sighed.

“But what if it's true? What if I can't do it.” Echo replied

“What if there are no more what if’s.” Pixal said calmly

“Pixal is correct. Don't doubt yourself so much Echo. Just ignore what the others said. We both know you can do it.”  Zane added and Echo could practically hear his smile.

“You think I really can fix all of this?”

“From what I’ve seen, you are an extremely talented inventor.” Pixal replied

“And you're my baby brother. We have complete faith in you Ec.” Zane said also

Echo grinned a bit before yawning and laid back down. Zane/Pixal laid down right beside him.

“You two are the best. I promise I’ll fix it tomorrow..” Echo said as his voice trailed off and he fell asleep.

“I hope he’ll be alright now.” Zane said

“I think he’s feeling a bit better now.” Pixal replied to him

“I hope so. I don’t like that he will sometimes doubt himself though.”

There was then the faint, faint sound of footsteps that only the two could hear thanks to the wolf’s strong sense of hearing. Echo still stayed asleep, not having heard anything.

“There’s someone or something else on the bounty.”

“I agree, that didn’t sound like any of the others. The question would be where is it at.”

“I believe it’s hidden or using something seeing that we can’t physically see it.”

“True, perhaps it’s a shadow or creature?”

“That would be very likely. Should we warn the others?”

“Not yet, more than likely we will soon. We do need to catch this culprit though.”

“Agreed. Maybe we should get it to reveal itself somehow?”

“Yes, and I know just the way to do so.”

Jackson sat in his chair in front of his table that was within his invention room. His lab was right across the hall.

He rolled the chair over to one of his several toolboxes and pulled out a wrench before sliding back over to what he was working on. Jackson wasn’t even fully sure what he was doing, but was happy to tinker around with something.

He felt better than he was a few hours ago. Jay was really lucky. Jackson let him go under the only condition that Loriah had kindly asked him not to destroy Jay. And there was no way he could fully say no to her. So after he agreed he went down to his usual room and started to tinker around.

Humming to himself, he started to tighten the bolts on what he was working on before heading over to get his wielder and mask. Within a few minutes he wielder the metal together. Grinning to himself as he pulled off his mask, Jackson slid a sharp blade into a slot on the top before tighten the holder. Jackson then examined what he made, before the blade was then spit back out of its place.

With a yelp Jackson dropped it back onto the table but he wasn’t unscathed. He felt a stinging sensation in his left hand. He looked over at it and saw that he ended up cutting himself; leaving a 5 inch cut in the center of his hand.

“Scrap.” Jackson said to himself as the blood trailed down to his wrist.

“Nasty looking cut there.”

Jackson turned around to see Kai standing at the doorway.

“Just a smidge.” Jackson replied before he went over and started to clean up his hand.

“Whatcha trying to make?” Kai questioned as he leaned on the doorway

“Something called noneya. Also know as noneya business.” Jackson retorted annoyed from being bugged.

He winced as he put a little antiseptic on his hand before wrapping it tightly with gauze.

“Well I know something that Jay told me about.” Kai said while watching

“Oh yeah, and what would that be?” Jackson said as he tied off the gauze

“That you let him go after Loriah asked you to let him go.” Kai said with a slight smirk

Jackson didn’t reply but kept his focus on the white gauze that was slowly turning red.

“You like her don’t you?”

“That would also happen to be none of your business.” Jackson said curtly as he then slid back into his chair with his back towards Kai.

“Haha! That proves it. You have a crush on her.” Kai said with a grin

“Shut it.” Jackson said as he fingered his wrench

“I will once you admit it, or I could always just tell the others guys about it.” Kai replied

“Keep going and my wrench will find itself coming at you.” Jackson said quietly

“It would be easier if you just go tell her.” Kai said with a shrug

There was then something that whizzed past his ear and landed with a clang against the hallway wall.

“Dang it...I missed.”
