Chapter 5: Figuring things out

I'm back and I'm out of the writers block! Yay! Sorry it took me a while....writers block is hard you know? Anyways...enough talk. To the story we go!

Pacifica POV

"What do you mean you can't heal him?" I asked.

"H-He is like in this-s...m-magical coma. I-I can't break it." Will explained.

"A magical coma? What in the world is that?" Mabel snapped.

"Must have been the poison. It was supposed to kill him in seconds." Gideon added, "In a magical death. So Will can't bring him back...if you can..."

"That would make sense. That could only mean one thing though." Mabel replied, "They know we have a demon that could heal and bring us back. Well, have too." She gave this cold look at Will and he started to shake even more.

"Well, the poison supposed to kill him...why is he alive?" I asked.

"C-Charms. M-Master Dipper have c-charms to p-protect him."

"Of course not completely." Mabel grumbles.

"So the person who did this...knows about the demon and charms..." I started.

"Not on the charms." Mabel pointed out, "They wanted to kill him. Not to put him in a coma. Plus we don't tell anyone about the charms. In fact, hippie, you have charms too."

"What!?" I questioned.

"It's not that hard to smuggle them into your Coco." Mabel smirked before she sighed, "Of course it was Dipper's idea. He wanted too 'protect you'." She sounded so disgusted.

I rolled my eyes. Mabel then took some steps closer, mostly to Gideon, "Of course, my sugar plumb has some inside of him too." She brushes Gideon's cheek, "Think I'll forget you too my love?"

Gideon shiver as he step aside, "You know I have a girlfriend right?"

"Oh, I would love too!" Mabel smiled as she reaches to hug him but he pushed her away, "Not you!" Mabel harms dropped as she gave the coldest and darkest glare, "Of course I know..." Then she smirked, "She's yours...for now..."

"That is why I'm not telling you."

"I have ways."

"Would you just stop?" I snapped, "We don't have time for this! We need to fix this."

"Oh hippie lover, there is nothing that we can do for him. He's stuck in that coma." Mabel replied flatly.

"We can't do anything?"

"Nope."

"And you don't even care."

Mabel just shrugged and fold her arms, "Hey, if he dies then I get everything and can do whatever I want." Then she gave a blood thirsty smirk towards me.

The only reason why I'm alive was because of Dipper. Without him, I would be dead.

"And since someone got to Dipper...They can get to you Mabel." Gideon pointed out.

"Awe! Sugar bear, you care! How thoughtful of you." She pinched Gideon's cheek, "I love your concern." Gideon shiver some more and smack her hand again, "Not what I mean. They got to the biggest threat and the rest will fall. You and Pacifica will be the next."

"The biggest threat?" Mabel raised her eye brow.

"Yes. The biggest threat. He's the head of the house, both Northwests and Gleeful. Take him down, everyone else will fall. It's simple logic."

Mabel shifted her feet and mumble. I lowered my head, "Gideon has a point..."

"Yeah, but who in the world would try that? How stupid can they be!"

"Actually...not stupid." Gideon pointed out, "They got Dipper. Can't be stupid to get him."

Mabel growled.

"So what now?" I asked.

"We find this jack head and burry him alive." Mabel started to leave the room.

"And where do you think you are doing?" Gideon asked.

"Doing what I do best, my love." Mabel flipped her hair over her shoulder as she faced the both of us, hand on hip, "Something that none of you can do."

I stood up, "First off, I don't think killing off the guy is the way to go."

"Oh you got a better idea, hippie?" Mabel snapped, "Find him and tell him what he did was wrong with all of the rainbows in the world?" Then she took a step forward, "Look, Dipper is out of play...he isn't here to protect your sorry little butt. Not from me or anyone. Now my pumpkin is right. He is still out there and is after the rest of us. Now someone has to stop him unless you want to be murder in your sleep."

I pause for a moment, "I-I..."

Mabel just rolled her eyes, "Well I don't care what you think first of all." Then she just headed out before another word can be said. "Oh this can't be good." Gideon muttered.

"Oh Gideon! What are we supposed to do!?"

"Don't let Mabel get under your skin. She will do her thing, and we will do ours."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Well...we got each other's back and I got yours. Don't Paz, we will figure this out." Gideon then grabbed my hand and help me out of the chair. "Where-"

"Where it all happened of course. It will just be like a mystery for the Mystery Cousins to do."

Then Gideon started to head to the door. I looked down at Dipper for the moment, "Don't worry, Dipper. We are going to fix this."

After that we headed back to the mansion and into the study. "So this is where it happened. We just got to find what did it."

We started to look around. I then notice something that was near the envelope was this tiny little black ball. I pointed at it, "Gideon." Gideon looked where I was pointing and pick it up and examine it. "It seems to be an advance little gasp pellet. This must be the thing that injected poison in Dipper."

"What is in the envelope? Dipper is always careful in opening the mail. He won't let me open anything but from my parents."

"I think he's over protective."

"What do you expect? Things like this happens."

Gideon slowly nod his head, "I guess...I just wish you never married him so we don't have to worry about things like this."

I sigh, "Gideon, life is good with Dipper."

"Oh yeah? With your life endanger all the time because you are the wife of that nut job. You are holding his children! Paz you are never going to have freedom of anything. I don't care what Gleeful says. When he says that everything will be fine...it's not fine. It will never be fine. every letter on this desk could be something to kill anyone in this house. He holds people in the basement and they could escape and murder you in your sleep, not even counting your insane sister in law. What are you going to do about the twins huh? Dipper is going to teach them how to murder and what not. They will be evil just like him."

"Gideon stop it! Dipper promised me he wouldn't do that! Not to our children! They are mine too and Dipper respects that."

"How could you trust him!"

I tighten my fists, "Gideon, if you are only here to insult my choices with Dipper...than you can just leave. I don't want to hear any more of it. I love Dipper, Gideon. I'm happy with him. We have a few ups and downs, so what! There is no happy lives! We just got started so we are a little rusty but we will get a hand on it. Just lots of things are going on at the moment. Dipper is having a hard time at work, the twins, Mabel, and his night job."

"Which murders people! I would have gone to the cops long time ago but there is no evidences. They are smart."

"I know...I don't like it either..."

"Then why except it?"

"Because it's too late to stop. Dipper makes sure it doesn't go too far."

"This isn't too far?" He raise the pellet.

"Dipper wouldn't have known." I bent down and picked up the envelope. Looking over it, "It's from the old boss of the Northwest company....there is papers about Dipper's father in here!"

"What does Dipper's father have to deal with anything?"

"I don't know." I reached in and pulled out the papers. There were just blank pieces of paper, "It's all of a fake." I muttered.

"A trap." Gideon muttered. Then he grabbed the envelope, "Well doesn't matter...we already caught the crook."

"He wouldn't have done this."

"What do you mean?"

"Just my gut feeling. He wouldn't just give himself away like that."

"Well he thought he would have killed him. Plus he was someone that Dipper trusted..."

"Not really. The note about his father must have brought his attention."

"Should we question this...Mr. Bottleglass?"

"We should try anyways. He might have been the one to poison him." I then went over to the phone and started to dial his number by reading through Dipper's contact list on the desk.

"Hello?"

"Mr. Bottleglass, it's Mrs. Gleeful." I replied...it was still a little weird to call myself that.

"Oh, Dipper's wife...what do you want?" He growled.

"Did you sent him a package this morning?"

"Why?"

"Because I found one that came from you to him when I thought you were going to stay away from us."

Mr. Bottleglass scoffed, "Of course I wouldn't send anything to you! You pesky Gleefuls cost me everything!"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Bottleglass, on that."

"Hmph, oh please you don't care. You're husband got that job."

"So you wouldn't try to kill him?"

"Oh if I could but nobody can touch him! Besides I would never dare too...do you know what happened to the last guy?"

Oh I could guess...

"Well thanks, Mr. Bottleglass. I do must be going."

"So call me to boast are we?! Blaming me on things! eh?!"

"No, no. Nothing...just found something and was wondering if it was you are someone else."

"Someone's been using my name?!"

"Goodbye Mr. Bottleglass." I then just hanged up. "I hate talking him. So angry all the time." I muttered, "But...it's not him. Someone used his name...just what my gut was saying."

"Of course...never doubt your gut." Gideon gave a small smirk. I then sigh as I rubbed my belly, "This isn't making sense."

"It makes perfect sense. The real criminal used a fake name to draw Dipper in and to cover this whole thing up."

"What is the purpose in killing Dipper? What have he done to them?"

Suddenly my phone rang and I looked at it. It was from the hospital. I instantly answered it, "Hello?"

"Mrs. Gleeful we have some news about Mr. Gleeful."

"What? Is everything alright? Is he alright?" I asked.

"He's fine, same state as he's always been but...someone broke in to his hospital room."
