Tao Khan's POV:

"Tao Khan, i-is that you?" asked Shifu.

"Yes master, it is me, I have come home." I replied. "Just like I said I would."

"Master, who is Tao Khan, I thought the only other people that used to live here were you master Oogway and Tai Lung." said a female tiger who has caught my eye. After all my time searching I come home to find the thing I have been looking for, proof that I am not the only tiger in China.

"No, there was another that lived here and that is him." Shifu said pointing to me. " Would you please lower your hood now Tao, so you and my students can meet you face to face?" Shifu asked.

I calmly lifted my arms to my hood and threw my my hood back. Everyone gasped at what I was. They all looked shocked, but the look on the female tigers face was priceless.

"Y-you're a-a t-tiger." said the female tiger.

"Yeah, I was thinking the same when I saw you. I can't believe that after years of searching, I come back home to find the one thing I have been searching for." I replied.

"Tao I would like you to meet the furious five and the dragon warrior. The panda is Po, he is the dragon warrior. That is Viper, Crane, Mantis, Monkey, and then Tigress." Shifu said pointing to everyone. "Furious five and dragon warrior, meet Tao Khan."

"Wait, how did you meet Master Shifu?" asked Viper.

"It all started when I was three years old." I said.

*Flashback*

I was making my way through the woods looking for a place for shelter. I had just been abandoned by my parents, I watched as they set me down in a small hole in the side of a mountain. I was actually pretty smart for a three year old, I needed to be.

While walking I saw civilization. I was excited, that was my ticket for shelter at least. I walked into the village and soon learned that I was in the Valley of Peace. While walking I ran into someone, a red panda.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to." I said before I was interrupted.

"That is alright little one. Where are your parents?" he asked.

I looked down, it is hard to think about them.

"They, they abandoned me. They set me down in a small hole in the side of a mountain and ran." I said. "I have been searching for shelter ever since."

"Come, you may stay at the Jade Palace. What is your name?" he asked.

"Thank you and my name is Tao Khan." I replied.

"I am Shifu, come lets go." he said.

With that he led me to the Jade Palace. When we got there I looked up in amazement. This place was huge. I can't believe how wonderful this place looks as well. I keep following him and he leads me to a building, I keep hearing screams and things breaking.

"What is with all the screaming and breaking?" I ask.

"That is my son Tai Lung training." Shifu replied.

We go in and I see a snow leopard training.

"I thought you said it was your son." I said to him.

"He is, I took him in when he was just a small cub for he was left at the door step of the Jade Palace." Shifu replied.

That makes more since now. I watch as Tai Lung trains and all of it catches my attention.

"What is he training?" I ask.

"Kung Fu." Shifu replied. "Tai Lung, training is over now. You may rest." Shifu told Tai Lung.

"Yes master." Tai Lung said.

Tai Lung saw me and looked at me curiously.

"Who is this master?" he asks.

"This is Tao Khan, he will be staying here at the Jade Palace from now on. He was abandoned by his parents and has no place to go." Shifu replied. "I would like it if you would kindly show him around."

"Yes master." Tai Lung said.

*1 month later*

I am starting to take an interest in kung fu. I want to learn it so bad. I keep trying to ask Shifu if he would train me, but he is always to busy training Tai Lung.

Tai Lung and I get along very well. He would always come talk to me every time he finished his training.

I decided that if Shifu was not going to teach me then I would teach myself. I went to where all the scrolls were and started reading them.

*3 Years Later*

I am six years old now and I have secretly taught myself all thousand scrolls of kung fu. The only person who knows is Master Oogway, which he seems happy and surprised that I have done it in such short timing.

This is it, I am going to show Shifu what I learned by myself. I walk into the training room where both Tai Lung and Shifu are and I walk up to Tai Lung.

Tai Lung, through these years, has become like the big brother I never had. He would always take me out in the village and we would talk and do some fun things when he wasn't training.

"Tai Lung, I challenge you to a sparring match." I declared.

They both looked at me surprised.

"But you don't even know kung fu Tao." Shifu said.

"Wrong, I have been teaching myself by reading through the thousand scrolls and I have spent alot of time with Master Oogway as well." I replied.

"Okay, little brother, I except you challenge." Tai Lung said.

With that we sparred and in the end I came out victorious, pinning Tai Lung to the ground.

*1 Year Later*

I can't believe it. It is too good to be true. Tai Lung betrayed us, he betrayed me. After everything, he just threw it away like it was nothing to him just because he didn't get the title of dragon warrior.

I can't take it, I need to get out of here. I hate to do this, but I just need to be on my own right now.

"I am leaving Master Shifu." I said to him.

"What? Why Tao, you have no place to go. You are just a kid." he replied.

"I know master. But Tai Lungs betrayal, it just hurts so much to be here right now and I know I am sounding selfish, but that is not the only reason I am leaving. I feel like I need to know answers as to who I am and I don't think I will find them staying here. I will come back master, that I promise." I said.

Shifu looked sad to see me go but didn't argue it any longer.

"Okay Tao, but stay safe and I will hold you to that promise." he said.

"Of course master." I said, and with that, I left the Jade palace.

*End of Flashback*

"So that is my story of how I met Master Shifu and all of what happened while I was here." I said.

They all looked at me with expressions I could tell was confusion.

"Wait, why didn't you tell us about Tao Khan before master?" asked Viper.

"Do you think it was easy for me to talk about Tai Lung. It would have been harder for me to talk about Tao." Shifu replied.

I can already tell this is going to be quiet a journey here in the Jade Palace.
