Chapter 4 (Part 3)

"Perfect!" Gregory rose from his seat. "Since it's still the weekend, we can enrol Victoria and Elizabeth in a university!" he told Oliver.

Victoria and Elizabeth squealed.

"We're going there now?" Victoria's grin stretched from ear to ear.

"Yeah!" Gregory replied.

"Which school? Which school!?" Elizabeth bounced on her toes.

"Hmm, Oli, which school should we choose for our children?" Gregory asked, seeking Oliver's input.

"Perhaps..." Oliver pondered. "Hmm..."

"Oh, how about Saint Anthony's University?" Gregory suggested.

"Oh, that would be great! It's a prestigious private school as well!" Oliver said, his smile growing wider as he stood up from his seat.

"Where will we be studying?" Victoria asked, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"We'll go to Saint Anthony's University," Oliver replied.

"Who's that?" Elizabeth asked.

"That's only the name of the campus," Oliver giggled.

"Oh!" Victoria and Elizabeth grinned.

"Now, Vic and Ellie, it's time to go to your room and change," Gregory interjected as he raised a finger.

"We're coming with you?" Victoria gasped.

"Yes," Gregory confirmed. "We'll be leaving in an hour!"

"Okay!" Victoria and Elizabeth leapt in unison, rushing from the lounge and heading upstairs to their bedroom.

"Hey, what about us?" Albert pleaded, his eyes glistening as he looked at his fathers.

"Yeah! I want to come and play, too!" George said.

"Don't worry, boys. You're still too young to go to school," Oliver reassured them, offering a gentle smile.

"So, they'll be staying at home?" Gregory pondered aloud.

Albert and George's faces dropped, their brows creasing with disappointment.

"They can come with us," Oliver beamed.

"Hooray!" Albert and George cheered. Meanwhile, Jean remained silent, engrossed in playing with his dragon figurines.

"After we enrol Victoria and Elizabeth, we'll go to church, alright?" Oliver suggested, turning to face Gregory.

"Splendid idea," Gregory agreed. "And we can have snacks afterwards!"

The young boys grinned with excitement.

"Now, boys, go change your clothes and get ready as well," Oliver requested, urging his sons to change outfits for the day.

Albert, George, and Jean promptly dashed out of the lounge, with Oliver and Gregory following closely behind.

After a few moments pass, everyone finds themselves inside a spacious black carriage with a roof to shield them from the sun. Oliver and Gregory, the parents, sit in the rear red seats, observing their children with warm smiles. Meanwhile, Victoria, Elizabeth, Albert, George, and Jean press their faces against the windows, peering at the towering buildings.

The children's grins widen as the impressive heights of the buildings elicit exclamations from their mouths. Their smiles transform into gaping jaw drops as their eyes widen at the sight of structures reaching towards the heavens. They tilt their heads back, observing the diverse range of roofs, from flat to gabled and domed to pyramid-shaped.

Oliver and Gregory still wear their earlier vests and trousers. However, now that they are outdoors, they have donned black tailcoats with silver buttons. As they smirk and glance into each other's eyes, they adjust their top hats and pull down the brims.

In the meantime, Victoria and Elizabeth wear dresses with a similar silhouette, featuring skirts that start from their torsos and end above their ankles. The sleeves flow down from their shoulders before puffing out like woolly sheep. Adorning their heads are bonnets with white ruffles, casting a faint shadow on their pale faces. The only distinction between their outfits is that Victoria's dress is lavender, while Elizabeth's is lime.

Meanwhile, the boys wear pearl-white shirts. After the shirts, they don coal-black tailcoats that complement the shade of their cotton shorts. Stockings grace their legs, and their feet are clad in black shoes, completing their outfit.
