Chapter 12 (Part 3)

"It appears like you've embarked on a truly stupendous adventure, Oliver," Frederick remarked.

"I certainly have," Oliver replied, glancing at his companions. "And the best part is that I've experienced it alongside my devoted spouse and friends."

Warm smiles spread across everyone's faces.

"How lovely," Frederick expressed.

"I can only imagine how much more amazing it would be if you were with us on every journey," Oliver teased, smirking at Frederick.

"If only I still possessed the vigour of a young man like you," Frederick chuckled. "So, cherish your energy while you're still young."

"I will."

Frederick took a deep breath and ventured. "So, after visiting those places, which countries did you head to next?" Frederick asked.

Oliver furrowed his eyebrows, trying to recollect his memories. "Hmm," he pondered, his left brow rising towards his forehead.

"...Geveria?" Bethany answered.

"Oh, yes, Geveria," Oliver nodded, his face beaming with recognition.

"What was the most memorable moment you had in Geveria?" Frederick pressed on with his questions.

"Dad, you won't believe this. I had the chance to meet the Emperor of Geveria," Oliver revealed.

"Hm. I can't say I'm surprised," Frederick replied with a cheeky smirk.

"Huh? What?"

"I used to be the mayor of Asbranne. I had the pleasure of meeting all those people during my time in service," Frederick narrated as his eyes glistened with nostalgia.

"Oh."

"Tell me more," Frederick urged, eager to hear about Oliver's best experiences in Geveria. "What other incredible moments did you have there?"

Oliver nearly spat out his drink as exhilaration coursed through his belly. "Oh!" he gasped.

"Hm?" Frederick's eagerness grew, fixing his gaze on Oliver.

Oliver cleared his throat and composed himself. "We encountered something remarkable in Geveria. Keans!"

"Keans? Like your..." Frederick began to point.

"My ancestor, Osana?" Oliver interjected, finishing Frederick's thought.

"Yes! Her," Frederick affirmed.

"Yeah! I've always wanted to see a kean in real life," Oliver said. "And now I have seen them."

"It's wonderful that you had the opportunity to witness those fantastic beings," Frederick giggled, savouring the sight of his son enjoying the moment.

"Yeah," Oliver beamed.

"Very good," Frederick nodded. "So! After Geveria, where did your journey take you next?" Frederick continued his line of questioning.

"Hm. We went to Kugi and met Bethany's cousins!" Oliver stated, glancing at Bethany.

"Bethany's cousins?" Frederick grinned, pleasantly surprised. "Oh? Darling, you have relatives in Kugi?"

"Yes," Bethany replied with a smile. "My parents hail from Kugi!"

"Interesting," Frederick nodded.

"What's even funnier is that Bethany's cousins have names that almost sound like mine and Sophia's," Sarrah interjected.

"That's right. Seraphina sounds quite similar to Sarrah's name," Sophia added. "And Sophie's name bears a striking resemblance to mine."

"Yeah. I almost thought Beth was calling me when she called Seraphina," Sarrah replied, tightening her lips sarcastically.

"Don't even get me started on how similar Sophie's name is to mine," Sophia giggled.

"Sophie. Sophia. Sophie. Sophia," Sarrah closed her eyes and playfully pointed at Sophia whenever she mentioned her name, then pointed upwards whenever she said Sophie's name.

"You'll get used to it," Bethany whispered to Sarrah, smirking slightly while trying to suppress her laughter.

"And!" Oliver stood up and gestured his palm downward to showcase his robe. "Bethany's aunt, Eva, gifted us these Kugian outfits. Look, Dad!"

"Amazing," Frederick said, leaning forward and inspecting Oliver's robe. "I've seen those before, but I've never had the opportunity to wear one myself." He settled back and continued. "I'm impressed by your appreciation for other cultures and traditions, son," Frederick beamed a bright smile. "You put in a lot of effort to learn about others."

"Do I?"

"You do! You do!" Sophia and Bethany giggled, pointing at Oliver.
