Chapter 12 (Part 1)

The morning sun sends gentle rays of light streaming through the arched windows, illuminating a bedroom. A pair of feet with white stockings make a soft thud on the wooden floor. Those feet belong to Oliver, who has awoken in his comfortable cotton pyjamas. Rubbing his eyes, Oliver sits on his bed, stretching his arms high before finally rising to his feet.

Making his way to the nightstand beside his bed, Oliver reaches for a jar of water resting on its surface. He pours a refreshing drink into a simple glass. He then raises the glass to his lips and glances at the window.

Later, Oliver descends the grand staircase, sharply turning to the left. He continues down the hallway, traversing its length until he arrives at the lounge. Oliver's eyes scan the room from left to right, seeing an unlit fireplace with opulent home decorations. At the far right corner, he spots the grand piano that Gregory plays.

Oliver's smile broadens as his eyes fixate on the piano. He then places a palm on his heart. Suddenly, a familiar masculine voice reaches his ears. Instantly, he recognizes the voice, electrifying his senses with anticipation.

"Oli."

Oliver turns around. His smile grows wider. And his eyes shimmer like the afternoon sun.

"Greg."

Gregory's smile mirrored Oliver's. Gregory then stepped forward, closing the distance between them. Lunging forward, Gregory embraced Oliver, enveloping his arms around him.

Beyond the lavish, spacious garden of the mansion, a shed-sized house stood tall. Sturdy white concrete blocks formed its exterior foundation. Meanwhile, beige planks lined the interior walls.

Within the corners of the shed-sized house, foamy bubbles filled the lower interior, revealing it to be a bathhouse complete with a well and a pool. Oliver and Gregory sat beside each other on the tranquil waters, their shoulders brushing against each other. They wore low-cut cotton shirts and shorts, avoiding eye contact as their gaze remained on the water before them.

Hundreds of crimson petals float around the pool's calm water as the scent of roses and citrus wafts through the air. Light emanates from the flickering candles and the crystal skylight above the two men in the pool. The well before them lightly gushes clear waters like a fountain while bubbles and foam meander across the surface.

Oliver shifts his gaze away from Gregory. His right arm then receives a gentle caress from his left hand. Holding his breath, Oliver submerges himself into the pool, allowing his silver hair to flow underwater.

Emerging from the water, damp strands of hair clung to Oliver's forehead. Oliver brushed them back as he glanced to the left. Suddenly, his eyes widened as he found his lover's gaze fixed on his arms. A realization washed over Oliver, causing his face to flush with a rosy hue. He quickly looked away as he blushed.

"Oops, sorry," Gregory gasped.

Gregory averts his gaze as his eyes widen in surprise. He quickly places a hand on his face, staring at the gentle ripples forming in the pool. A faint blush gradually spreads across his cheeks as he bites his lips.

Oliver gathers the courage to meet Gregory's gaze again. With hesitant determination, he turns his head to the left and sees Gregory already looking back at him. An unspoken moment of connection passes between them, causing both men to break into awkward snickers and laughter. Diffusing the tension, they playfully move a few feet away from each other.

"Stop looking at me," Oliver laughed.

Oliver slams his hand onto the water's surface, creating a wave that surges towards Gregory. The splash lands on his lover's face, eliciting a surprised reaction followed by Oliver's infectious laughter. Gregory shakes his head and winces his eyes as he chuckles.

"No, you," Gregory said.

Gregory drew his hand into the air and struck the pool with more force, plunging his entire forearm into the water. The resulting splash drenched Oliver, surprising him. Gregory giggled, placing a fist before his mouth.

"Oh. So, we'll be doing it the hard way," Oliver smirked.

"Hard?—"

Oliver rose from the pool, water streaming down his body as he stood tall. With a mischievous glimmer in his eyes, he extended his arms, palms facing up. Above his open palms, a small drop of water materialized, hovering in the air, resembling a tiny floating ball. The minuscule droplet of water defied all expectations and expanded rapidly, growing larger and larger until it transformed into a substantial mass, taking on the size of a carriage.

"Oh, no—" Gregory gasped as his pupils contracted.

The colossal drop of water descends onto Gregory, creating waves that sweep him away. Water splashes all around, drenching the surroundings. Gregory quickly takes a breath through his mouth, momentarily caught off guard.

Gregory smirks and furrows his brows. He swiftly approaches Oliver, who finds amusement in the situation and laughs, stepping back to evade Gregory's advance. However, Oliver's laughter quickly shifts to surprise as Gregory leaps forward, tackling him.

Using his arms, Gregory traps Oliver, firmly holding him captive as they both plunge into the refreshing embrace of the pool. The splash and bubbles fill the air as their laughter echoes through the water. Gregory releases his hold, and the two men resurface as they chuckle.

"Hahaha!"
