~Monday~

Jayden Gray's (female) POV:

The lunch bell rings and everyone stands up. We start packing quickly before the teacher remembers to give us homework. The teacher quickly runs in front of the door to block everyone from leaving.

"Attention students just a reminder after lunch everyone is to report to the theater room for the assembly! " The elder teacher, Mrs. Nancy announces hopelessly as kids move passed her.

My friend Johnny sighs in relief as we step through the classroom door, " Thank god I thought she'll remember about homework."

"For real I need a break, I just finished the History essay yesterday like around midnight." I reply loosing my tie that goes with the school's uniform.

"Dang girl, I finished that on Friday." Johnny laughs.

"But we just got it yesterday, and today is Tuesday." I explain.

"Exactly. " He chuckles. I shake my head of course Johnny can do an essay last minute and ace it.

"Whatever, let's just meet up with Ryan and Zack." I say. Yes I hang out with guys, but in this private school the few here girls are mainly big preps.

"Ugh I hate hanging out with them now." Johnny complains rolling his eyes.

"Why?" I ask even though I already had an idea why.

"Because that stupid guy is always making jokes about you. Like, oh she probably has a small dick, like bish shut the fuck up." He says clapping his hands together.

I just shrug. Zack's insults don't really bother me as much as they should. "Eh at least my dick would be bigger than his if I had one." I say brushing off the topic as we approached the group.

"There's my girl." Ryan beams as we approached him. He places his arm around my shoulders and leads us towards the cafeteria.

No, we are not dating. Sorry to burst your bubble, but we are just friends. Yeah we flirt a little here and there, but we only play around. Plus most of the guys see my other friend, Jessica, and I as one of the guys anyways. Why? Because here in this private school since there are mainly boys the girls have to learn how to survive. Either you stick with the fake gossip girls or have the time of your life and chill with the guys. In other words girly girl or tomboy, no in-between. Although I feel like I'd fit in the in between category.

As we sit down, Jessica sits catching up with us with a big smile on her face. She quickly throws two video game cases on the table. Everyone at our table looks at her.

"I finally got them! I know they aren't newly released, but I've been wanting to play these." She says picking up the cases to show us. As you can tell she's a big gamer. Yeah I play against her often, but she always wins; well unless she's going easy on me.

"Call of Duty World War II !" Johnny shouts snatching the case out of her hand.

"Yup! Can you believe it, they only cost me fifteen bucks for both." she says happy with her buy.

"Fifteen bucks? From who they still look new?" Ryan ask looking at the case, his arm now around my waist.

"Some kid that goes to Anchor High, sucker." she laughs. Anchor High is a public school a couple of blocks away. From what I've heard it's a living hell and most of the guys are dogs.

"And what's this one? " I ask picking up a colorful case.

"Oh that one's just Mario Kart for my Wii. " she replies looking at me a blaming face.

I chuckle, " Sorry I broke your other one, I just hated losing all the time."

"It's okay, plus I got these cheap." Jessica says putting the games back into her backpack.

"So what kid did you get it from?" Johnny asked her.

"I don't know, just saw it on snapchat and asked about it. We met at the mall and quickly traded. I think his name was like Sam, something like that." She explains.

"Was he cute?" I ask with a smirk.

"Hey!" Ryan says pulling me closer.

"What can't blame me for asking." I chuckle.

"Eh, not really my type. He's a blondie and really tall." She shrugs.

"Am I your type? " Zack says from behind her making her jump and accidentally slap him.

"Shit! You asshole, and NO you are not my type." She says pushing him away.

"Good, because you're not mine. Dating one of you two would be like dating a guy." Zack smirks as he takes a seat. Jessica slaps him again on the shoulder, but it doesn't affect him in anyway.

"Oops my hand slipped. " She says as she laughs.

"Jess. Zack." I state glaring like a mother. He just smiles at me and continues eating.

Johnny stood up and threw out his food. "I'll meet you guys at the assembly."

"Me too. "

"Me three."

"Me four."

Ryan, Jessica, Johnny, and I all through our food away and waved bye. Zack looks up and throw up his arms with a the 'oh-come-on face'. We walk to the theatre room early to get the back seat first.

"God I hate that guy." Johnny fumes.

"Me too, why do we even hang out with him?" Jessica asks.

"Because he's my brother." Ryan says looking at me for help.

"Yeah and since Zack is Ryan's family, we must tolerate him." I say reaching to mess with Ryan's hair but failing due to his height.

"Whatever. " Jessica replies looking at Johnny who is paying no attention to us.

"I can't stand that asshole, even if he's Ryan's brother he can go make his own group of friends. That's if he does lose them for being a jerk to them again." Johnny replies still not looking at us. I hate see my friends like this. We've gone to this school since kindergarten, and since then we've all be friends. Yes this private school is K-12.

"Hey guys! The assembly hasn't started yet, so just take a seat for now." The principal says from the door way. We all jump by her loud cheery voice.

"Yes ma'am." We say in unison and take a seat.

A few minutes pass and the theater room starts getting fuller. In front of us are a group of girls wearing the same hair style and the school uniform expect instead of pants they are wearing the skirts. In the middle of them is Zack. He has his arms around two of the girls shoulders.

"Attention students!" Everyone becomes silent and looks up front at the Principal. " I have some very devastating news for you all." she says. Whispers and gasps filled the room. "I know a lot of you have been here since kindergarten. And it hurts me to tell you all that the school has to shut down. " she says devastated. Everyone gasp. My eyes widen. I cup my mouth with my hands.

"Why is the school shutting down?! " a kid shouts.

"We've lost so much money and we can't afford keep the school anymore. They sold this land to someone and their are going to build something else here. So this will be one of your last days here I'm so sorry. " she says her voice cracking at the end as tears fill her eyes.

A few kids started yelling and standing up. I turn to Ryan, and he hugs me. I feel Jessica and Johnny join the hug. We all stand up and exit the loud crowded theatre room.

.....

For the rest of the day, we don't talk much. Whispers fill the halls as three tall official looking men walk down the hallway with a clipboard.

"So this is it guys, Colton Parker Schooling is done with. " Jessica mutters sadden by thought of leaving. This may not seem emotional to others, but this school is all we know.

"Thank god! I thought I'd never escape this freaking school." Zack laughs and he throws his arms in the air letting them fall on Jessica and my shoulders.

"Fuck you asshole. I'm sorry Ryan, I just can't stand him." Jessica says wiping a small tear that escaped from her eye. She grabs Johnny's arm, and they walk out of the building.

The overhead speaker beeps, "Attention students you are now dismissed to go home, please talk to your parents about the sudden change, thank you."

"Want me to give you a lift since Jessica and Johnny left?" Ryan asks.

I nod my head. "Thanks..." I say and remove Zack's arm off my shoulder.
