Chapter 1

Music blasted in April's ears while she stared at the ocean. "We never had the time to really look at the ocean, did we" April heard through her music. She took off her headset while looking behind her, staring at her sister, January. After their escape, they had renamed themselves. 01 became January. 02 became February. 04 became April and their youngest sister, 012, became December. Really unoriginal, but they had never really cared about unimportant things like their names.

"We still don't" April said while looking back at the never-ending blue. "No we don't" January said, looking serious. The protective big sister, she always felt the need to protect them from the world. "We need to keep moving" December said from a distance. April stood up and brushed the sand from her body. She looked at the Californian sea one more time before turning her back to it. "And where are we going?" February said without her usual purr. "Someplace safer than here, where we are completely exposed" December said while looking in her eyes. "No place is safe and you know it" February huffed back.

They had been running for 6 months now. Well, running is not the right word. Killing and hiding is more like it. Killing everyone that comes in our path was getting annoying now, even thought that was the only reason why April and her sisters had been created in the first place. Super soldiers. That's what they are. Killing machines.

April looked at her sisters who are arguing about our next move. Beautiful, sinful. That's what they all looked like. Violet eyes, now hidden by color contacts. White hair, hidden under itchy wigs. They all looked so innocent, beautiful. Wolves in sheeps clothing. February, so beautiful that she actually hypotheses all the men she comes across. With beautiful breast and perfectly shaped hips and ass, stands over 5'7 tall. She was wearing a blond curly wig over her normally waist length, wavy white hair, paired with brown contact lenses. January, tall and powerful, stands over 5'8 ft tall. She actually looked like a goddess. Athletic built, with long legs and originally straight white hair that came down to her ass. Now she wore a short black haired, straight wig and blue contact lenses. And December, looking so innocent, with her short amber colored wig and green contact lenses. She was shorter than everyone else, barely reaching 5 ft and curvy, soft figure. Her appearance made people want to protect her, even though she didn't need it at all. And then there was April, who was just a little over 5'3 tall, with curvy body and paler skin than her sisters. She knew she was beautiful. She would've been considered a failure if she wasn't. She was wearing her favorite purple wig and blue lenses.  Just like December, she was innocent looking. Like she could never do anyone any harm. Funny thing about appearances, they are mostly wrong. April could snap someones neck in a heartbeat.

"So we should just move to another state? Again?" February sighed. "Really, I like vacations, but this is just too much." "Did you see the news yesterday? There was another attack on Homeland."  April looked behind her and focused on the conversation that was about 30 ft away. Two men walked across the beach, surfboards in hand. Interesting. "They deserve it, those animals should've been killed instead of being treated like actual beings" one of the two said.

April raised her eyebrow while looking back at her sisters. They seemed to have picked up the conversation too. Since they had been on the run they never really looked at the tv, so they had no idea what this was about. "Homeland?" February asked inside of Aprils mind. April shrugged her shoulders and continued to listen to the conversation. "Yeah well it's not like we can do anything about that now, they are protected by the government, remember? No matter what we do, there is no way they would be put back in cages or killed anytime soon." "At least they will die out soon. Too bad i won't be able to see that happen." "Maybe they have the same lifespan as an animal. They are animals after all." The two started laughing while walking out of Aprils hearing range. "We should check this out" January said in their minds while starting to walk back to their current hiding place.

"So we are not the only ones the humans liked to experiment on?" April asked while looking at the files they had found on the internet. The "animals" the two humans had been talking about were called New Species. 7 years ago the government had found out that a company called Mercile took it too far with their experiments, and set the New Species free, giving them a place to stay, safe behind huge walls. Reservation and Homeland, thats what their homes were called. "Apparently'" December mumbled while still reading some of the files. She has always been our brain, so she studies everything she finds more thoroughly than us. "Maybe they can help us?" February said from behind the counter. "Coffee?" she added as she pours herself a huge cup of coffee. "No thanks" we all said, with disgusted faces. "I really don't get how you can even drink that shit" April added. The taste was too bitter and since they all had heightened senses, it was the  worst thing April had tasted. February didn't seem to have that problem, since she shrugged her shoulders while taking a huge sip or the black poison.

"Like they would help us" December said, lifting her eyes from the files. "We are not New Species." "Maybe, but they would understand us better than humans would. There is no way we can ask humans for help. And we can't run forever" January sighted while slumping back in her chair. "Why not, it's not like we don't have the ability to do so" December said. "They will run out of money and soldiers soon. We just have to keep killing them." "You're such a joy" April laughed while looking at her youngest sister. "So bloodthirsty." "We are weapons, of course i'm bloodthirsty" December growled. "Stop calling us that" February said while narrowing her eyes at December. "I'm not a weapon." They all fell silent for a while, not really knowing what to say. April silently agreed a little with December. They were weapons after all. But no one was wielding them at this moment. Sooner or later one of the, probably April, would lose our control in one way or another. "Anyway, we don't have much choice, we could try" January said. "You're in command January, we do what you think is best" December said, even thought she didn't sound too happy about it. They all nod, because it was true. January was not only the oldest, but also the strongest.  "Pack your stuff, Homeland is not far from here. Get ready, we are leaving as soon as it's dark" January ordered.
