Electrical difficulties
I was able to escape the White House quite easily, since I took out most of the crazy robots there. Not to mention I just got a new sniper-themed arm! How cool is that, huh? As soon as I got back to my computer lab in California, I tested out my new weapon. Of course on some sewer robots. Seriously, why did the humans build those things? Not even I know. Even as I write this out to you now, I still don't know.
The gun worked out terrifically. It fired energy shots that actually targets the enemy. It could also bounce off the walls so it can get just about anywhere. Plus it came with this invisibility power, which is awesome! This would be an awesome weapon for any hunter. D**m, I'm still getting hints of killer instinct. At least back then I used to. Anyway. I heard Countershade was still acting crazy, but at least it's restricted to just in the White House. Guess my xel absorption only takes so much of the virus. At least 9 would have it all the easier, I guess.
Now for my next step. Which Mighty Number to track down next? Dynatron might be a good one to take care of. The power in cities surrounding the power plant she was last seen at has been dwindling. It's become a pain. I could also use something against Aviator, the helicopter robot whatever that's completely taken over some radio tower in Georgia, which happened to be the largest, most powerful radio tower in the US. Of course(😒). I need some kind of long range weapon to knock the wind out of him, and my new sniper skills need some kind of wall or edge to bounce off towards Aviator, and the top of a tower isn't quite "walled in" enough to me, does it?
Besides, lighting strikes the closest thing to the clouds, and what can get closer than a helicopter-robot-thing? Kinda fits, really. Right, off to the Wisconsin Power Plant. It obviously took some time, but even I have to be patient and understanding in such a crisis like this.
(What happened in actuality)
Ray: Move faster d***it! Come on, I ain't got time for this s**t!
(😞) Ok, ok, I admit it, I wasn't so "understanding" as I tried to make you think. I'm trying to build a good rep for crying out loud. The only reason I wrote what actually happened is because Bill told me to. (😒)
Anyway, I found the power plant in Wisconsin where Dynatron of the Mighty Numbers was. She was reportedly draining the plant's electricity, causing the power in the surrounding area to be unstable. Even the robots in the area were being affected by the power situation. Dyna hasn't attempted to leave the plant since she started draining the electricity from it, but the humans figured that once the plant runs out of power(or blew up from the unstable power), Dyna would head to another power plant and cause more trouble. If the humans left Dyna alone, she could potentially take all of the electricity in the USA. Then might head towards Japan. Then everywhere else in the world. You get the idea, right? You probably also guessed that Dyna is the electoral one of the Mighty Numbers. She was surprisingly dangerous when she went crazy.
The main reason why I decided to take her out next was, well, the pretty obvious reason I just told you, and because one of her abilities involves these little thingy-ma-jigs she shoots that can stick to the walls, ceilings, floors, and, of course, other robots. If they stick to you, you have to shake it off and destroy the other thingy-ma-jigs before Dyna sends an electrical current through them. Fortunately, my new homing sniper fire can take out the thingy-ma-jigs with one shot, minus any thats stuck to me, admittedly.
I entered the power plant and soon found the lighting in there kept going on/off. I'll have to sneak past the guards. Going through the power plant was like a maze. Both the power and the robots inside were completely haywire, but that's to be expected. Had to jump over electrical discharges and partcore around like a ninja robot. Had to jump over onto pipes like I was Mario or whatever he's name is. Sometimes I had to wait till the power short-circuited to mske it easier to take on these f***ers.
Then I came across these giant turbines that were generating electricity for the place. They weren't powerful enough to suck any robots into them, let alone me, so it was easy getting past them...Till I had to get undr one or two of 'em to get past. If I had any contact with them, I would automatically reduced to xels. Fortunately, I was more than capable of getting under both turbines with ease. Just part of being me.
Finally, after life took an eternity from my time, I finally found my way to where Dyna was. Though when I went up there, she seemed preoccupied with other things...
Dyna: Thizzzz energy izz zzo ztimulating, izz intozzacating! Wweeeee!
Ray:(thinking) Well, this should be easy. She's drunk on electricity. Now to get her attention on me.
I tried everything. Throwing junk at her didn't help. Playing rock music in her ears didn't help either. Insulting her didn't work.
(Sigh) I had only one option. I didn't like it, but I had the world on my shoulders... sort-of... Not really, I was just doing this for one guy who I had to do a favor for. Still.
Ray: Mind if I check what's under your clothes? Thanks!
Dyna: What the!? You'll pay for zat!
I swear I'm not programmed to be gay. Don't look at me like that through your screens! Like I said, it was only option.
She was on me like h**lfire, I'm telling ya. She immediately began crackling with electricity, causing it to go everywhere. I was obviously able to dodge it all. She tried to ram into me throughout the fight, but that easy to dodge. Then she started using those thingy-ma-jigs I mentioned earlier. She sent them across the room trying to hit me. One of them actually managed to get attached to me. By the time I was able to shake it off, she was about to send an electric current through them. Fortunately, I had the right tool for the job. I changed my claws to my sniper weapon and fired a shot toward the ground. Not only did it hit all of the thingy-ma-jigs, but it managed to hit Dyna right in the gut, stunning her temporarily.
Then she suddenly pulled out more of those things, but instead of throwing them at me, she used them to make an electrical sheild. Clever, but you need to get up pretty early in the morning to beat me. I used more of my sniper fire to knock out the thingy-ma-jigs. It took some time, but I finally managed to get rid of all of em, leaving Dyna defenseless. She started looking like she wouldn't last much longer. I used my teleport ability to grab her from above and knock her to the ground. We wrestled cat fight style for for what seemed like a good long hour.
She finally wore herself out to exhaustion. She used to much energy, which caused her to become destabilized. This gave me the chance to take her xels, and hopefully the virus with it. Countershade was still acting crazy, so Dyna might not have this peace of mind for long. As I took her xels, I felt that pain again from before, knocking me to the floor. It didn't hurt as much this time. My body was getting used to this copying thing.
When the pain stopped, I looked down at my clawed arm. It had become a large yellow spike crackling with electricity.
That's two down, six to go. Who should be next?
