"Just one more push and it's over. One more push and you're out! PUSH!" The egg cracks in half and out pops a tiny Utahraptor chick. All covered in egg whites, matted down and a few egg shell fragments.

She breathed quickly, huffing and puffing, letting the sun dry her fuzzy down and warm her up. All around her she heard others cracking their egg shells and chirping of her brothers and sisters. She squirmed around blindly and ran her nose into an egg, she squeaked out in pain and surprise. The egg in front of her cracked slightly, helping the sibling that was in the egg poke its tail out. She opened her eyes slowly, letting them adjust to the light and looked around slowly at the world. She saw only two other chicks out of their eggs(the rest still hatching).

The tiny chick put her legs underneath her body and began trying to stand. Her scrawny legs wobbled then gave out under her, making her fall onto the ground. Squeak! She began to try again after she caught her breath, this time she put her fuzzy arms down and boosted herself up and stood on all fours. She slowly balanced her body weight and removed her arms out from under her body. She was doing it! She was standing!

She raised her head and looked up as a shadow passed over the nest and stayed there, it was another raptor, an adult Utahraptor. Instinct made her run over to the raptor, she came to the edge of the nest and looked up, chirping. The adult raptor's head bent down and opened its snout and from its throat, came a large chunk of meat. Its aroma was appealing to her, causing her to leap onto the meat chunk and bite down on it. She was surprised to find that when she bit down on it, that it tasted good. She ravenously ate the meat chunk until she was too full to eat anymore, which by the time she was, not even half the meat was gone. She walked over to the edge of the nest and layed her head down and closed her eyes, drifting off to sleep to the sound of her siblings fighting over the meat leftovers.
