Hey anyone out there reading this! This is probably a very random notification for some of you who haven't even thought about this story for almost 5 years. Sorry about that. A lot has happened in my life in 5 years and my Wattpad kinda fell to the way side. But I'm back now! So this is either a happy day or a reminder to get this story out of your reading list haha!

First of all I very much intend to continue this story. It's a personal project of mine that I really want to continue but I'd like to address some things first.

5 years is a long time and while I do still have the core concept of where I want this story to go it's a little different now than it was back then.

If you read the little disclaimer update thing at the beginning of this story you'll remember that it has an OC of mine in it. I started writing this story before I knew the Royal Ranger books existed and before I was halfway decent and keeping a character personality intact. So from this point forward the writing style will probably change a bit as my writing has grown and improved over these past five years.

That being said I'd like to make a few retcons to make things a little less confusing going forward for old readers and new reader. (If any readers at all)

1- This story doesn't follow the Rangers Apprentice timeline as I'm not really sure anymore where I intended to put it. I've decided to consider it a bit detached sort of like Eraks Ransom. It's sometime while Will was still the Ranger of Seacliff though so if you'd like to make your own headcanons feel free.

2- The uprising mentioned before this update may change in name and ways they go about their uprisinging. (Very eloquent of me) While I do still intend for them to be violent in their ways, they need to be hard to get a hold of for there to be any real story here. So expect some cat and mouse games. Also my strengths lie in combat scenes less so political debate scenes so we'll see how this pans out.

If you're a new reader, welcome! This a personal passion project of mine since the Rangers Apprentice series is so close to my heart. If you've read this far you must enjoy it at least a bit. So thank you for reading and I hope I can continue to live up to your expectations!

If your an old reader and you made it this far into the update you must have been waiting a long time and I'm so sorry! While updates to this story may not be regular they will come and if I need to take a break I will definitely write an update this time!

Going forward I intend to flesh out the story a bit more. It will be slower paced than the first section but I intend to put a lot more detail and character interaction in. (And maybe some flashbacks who know (; )
