Shima lazily sit on the couch with his Nintendo Switch in his hands. His eyes focus on the game with his ears are plug in with earphone. The purple hair ignore his surrounding and continue to play the game before he noticed there's someone enter the house with some unfamiliar face.

"Shima." He hum as a reply but didn't look up, "Shima. Pause your game and look at me or else I'll take that thing from you." He groaned and paused the game. He took off one of the earphone and look at his mother. He blink as he see a three kids with her, nothing less but he noticed the three of them had an interesting ruby red eyes.

"So, Amatsuki, Mafumafu, Sakata. Shima is now your big brother." His mother smile. The three kids don't even look up. But instead they look down and bit their lip, "I hope you can get along with Shima. You too, Shima. Treat them rightly and nicely."
"What do you mean rightly?"
"Even if they have unexpectedly red eyes, they are still a human being. You understand what I meant right, Shima?" He nod, "Good. I need to go to buy some groceries. I'll be back soon. Take care of them, Shima. Bye kids." She pat the three's head before walk out from the house. Shima wave his hand slightly before look at the three boys. The three of them look uncomfortable and unease. Shima put down the Nintendo Switch and walk to the three.

"So, I'm your nii-chan now." Shima smile, "Can I know your names?"
"Why... Are you being nice to us?" The albino ask.
"Hm? Well..."
"I'm Amatsuki..." The purple hair turn to the red-eye brunette.
"It's Sakata..." Then a red-eye redhead told him his name.
"No use huh... I'm Mafumafu." The albino sigh.

"So, Ama-chan, Sakatan and Mafu." The three look up to him. They never expected that Shima call them by their nicknames.
"Eh? Why do you call us like that?"
"And... how did you know our nicknames...?"
"Eh? I'm just guessing that it will be a perfect way to call you three." The older grin. The three share looks. Shima rub his back head. He can feel the tension between the three red-eye boys. The redhead grip on his cloth.
"But... We're monsters... We had red eyes..." Shima blink in surprise. He shook his head and rush to his room to grab his action manga before went back to the three.

"Nonsense. Red eyes are awesome. Besides..." He shows them a picture of a fictional hero figure, "Red is a color of a hero. Look! He had red eyes and a red muffler!" They look at the picture before look back at Shima, "So there's no need to be afraid of red colors"

The three boys share look. They don't know how to respond to Shima. They all know that the older is just trying to cheer them up. But, after they went through. They still won't accept the fact that they were born with red eyes. The purple hair notice their expressions. He bit his lips.

So, it will take some time to get along with them... But even so, I need to be their older brother! I'll find a way to cheer them up! It will take a while, but who cares-

As Shima thought, the three still wouldn't open up to him even after a week his mother adopted the three by her own will. He had thought of every fun. Video games, soccer, crafts and even building blocks. He sigh heavily. He glance the three from his room.

"I wonder what will make you three to cheer up?" He look around his room. His purple eyes glue on the fictional hero figure he had shown the three a week ago. He stare at it for a while before smile widely. He rush to his wardrobe and search for something.
"Where's that damn thing?" Then after a minute of searching he found an average long red muffler that his friend had given on his birthday. He took the muffler and wear it before run out from the room and went to the three red-eye boys.

"Look at me!" The three turn to Shima. The older is posing and there's a huge grin on his face. "I'm Maashi!! The leader of the red-eye squad-Eh no... Ah the secret agents of the red-eye company!!" The boys smile and laugh a bit. "Come my beloved agents! We have a new mission!!" He run outside.
"Wait for us leader-nii!!"

Their mother just look at them from the kitchen. A small smile was formed as the three boys run out from the house with Shima to play. She really thankful that the boys finally can get along with her son. She was afraid that they won't get along. But she can see Shima's afford to cheer the boys. She proud of him.

"I know I can trust them with you, Shima."

"Hurry or else they will escape from us!!"
"Wait for meee!!"
"Sakatan, you always be the one who's late!" The redhead pout at the albino's comment.
"Shut up..."
"Sakatan, Mafu-kun, hurry up you two!!"

Shima laugh as he see the three enjoy their small game. He felt relief as he finally sees the smile on the three's face. He smile and adjust his red muffler. The smile on their face are cute and suitable for them. Those wide and cheerful smiles. Not to mention that he sees their eyes are full with happiness and life rather than dull.

At least... They can feel the happiness... No matter how sad or painful their past may be... They deserve a small happiness...

Years passed, Shima, is already a high school student and the three are at their last year of middle school. Thanks to Shima, the three finally accept their eye color. They had learned that even if they were born with red eyes, it didn't mean that they can't be happy. Even after they went through before they were founded by Shima's mother. They still can live happily.

But happiness won't stay forever by their side.

Their mother passed away due to a car accident with a truck when she on her way to work and their father is nowhere to be seen. Mafumafu and Sakata cried the hardest cause the two were the closest to their mother. Amatsuki just cried silently. Shima looked at the three and hold his own tears. He believed that he need to be strong for the three. If he cried too, who would cheer them up? He need to be strong for the three.

Shima sigh heavily as he enter his school. He can heard some students whispering about him. He roll his eyes and ignore them. He had to face it ever since they found out that he lives with Amatsuki, Mafumafu and Sakata. Shima firstly got mad at it but he learn to get used to it. He enter the school's building and change his shoes before walk towards his class.

The purple hair adjust the muffler and ignore the stare he received. He doesn't understand why people are like this. They only know how to gossip and they don't even know what they had been through. Shima is actually not really worry about himself but instead his beloved little brothers. He afraid that they will get bullied cause of their red eyes. Especially when they will enter high school soon.

"Yo, what's with the long face, Maashi?"

He turn to the voice. A short brunette, a blonde and a raven hair walk towards him. "Just thinking about my little brothers."
"Hm? What happened?" Senra ask.
"Just worry about them like usual."
"You're worrying too much, Shima." Soraru sigh. The purple hair rub his neck and bit his lips. Soraru's right. He's been worry for them too much.
"Yea, I think you're right-"

"I can't imagine if those monsters enter our school." Bangs covered Shima's eyes as he heard the word he never want to hear.
"It probably will be a disaster. Besides, who's weirder enough to born with red eyes?"

As finally he snapped, Shima punch the male who said it. Urata and Soraru restraint Shima from beat the male up.
"What the hell!?" He held his red cheek and glare at the purple hair.
"Don't you ever dare insult my little brothers with those words!! You don't know what they have been through and you just call them monsters because of their red eyes!!!"
"Oi, Shima!! Calm down!!"

Shima and the male glare at each other before the male and his friend leave the four of them. Shima harshly push Soraru and Urata off him and walk away.

"Geez, he really snap just now didn't he..."
"Yeah."
"Shima-kun..."

Though the whole school are talk about being worry if the three monsters enter their school, there's still some of them didn't really mind it. And those who categories as the 'some of them', are all Shima's closest friends. They had met with the three before and found out that the rumors weren't true at all.

The three, after open up to Shima, turn out to be friendly and really cheerful when they met them for the first time, thou they firstly actually really shy and afraid of them. Rather than being scary because of the red eyes, they are special and precious. Their past make them to be kind to the others and help them when they need to.

"They're not monsters..."

That's the only thing Shima had thought or say if he heard someone talked about his precious little brothers. He got more scared when he thought of a scary scenario if the three enter the high school. He shook his head to get rid away the negatives thoughts.

No... I mustn't think like this. I'll protect them from anything that will harm them. I swear to my life, I will never let anyone lay a hand on Ama-chan, Mafu and Sakatan.

The edge of the red muffler that Shima's been wearing flew through the wind. He shivers as the cold wind blew pass him. In front of him, Amatsuki, Mafumafu and Sakata are talking with each other happily as they enjoyed eating their own takoyaki that they brought earlier. A small smile form at Shima's face.

"Maashi-nii." Sakata look at him with a bright smile.
"Hm?"
"Say ah~" The purple hair chuckle as the younger try to feed him with the takoyaki.
"Ah~" Sakata's smile widen and he feed Shima.
"How is it?"
"Mhm... Delicious~" He pat Sakata's head.
"Right~"

Sakata turn back to the other two and continue to have some conversation with them. Shima stuffed his hands in his jacket's pocket and look down. He narrow his eyes and sigh. His mind can't stop thinking about the files he found in his father's room. He really can't and doesn't want to believe it that the fact,

Amatsuki, Mafumafu and Sakata were actually a former human experiments from his father's company's secret lab.

All the details story life of the three were recorded in the files. Their family, where did they live before became the human experiments, their personality and much more. They had been through so much.

"Treat them rightly and nicely."

"They are still a human being."

These two phrases from his mother when she introduced them to him. No wonder why his mother said those things. She had knew that his father was experimenting the poor three innocent boys and abused them. From the beginning, he never really had a liking on his own father. He also once almost become a human experiment but he's lucky to have his mother by his side.

Shima may be lucky that time, but the three weren't lucky at all. He also found out that they actually were kidnapped by his father's men and did something horrible towards them. He really can't imagine if he's in their place. Probably he will gone through the same thing. But he can sure if he also become a human experiment, the three still suffer more than him.

It's not normal to see people who originally born with ruby red eyes. Non of the three's families had red eyes except for them.

"Leader-nii?" Shima blink as the albino call out for him.
"Y-Yes, Mafu?"
"Are you okay? You seems to be in a deep thought..."
"Yup, I'm okay." He grin widely but Mafu frown. Shima pat his head, "Really. I'm fine."
"Are you really sure?" This time the red-eye brunette ask with Sakata behind him.
"100% sure~" The three share looks before they all hug the older. Shima froze as he got tackle into a hug from his little brothers.

"If something bothering you..."
"Please let us know..."
"Nii-chan we love you..."

Shima taken back by the words they told him. All he ever wanted is the three to be happy. He doesn't want them to have sadness in their life again. He want to full fill their life with happiness. A small smile appear and he return the hug.

"Yeah. I love you all too and no one can break our bonds... No one."

A year passed, Amatsuki, Mafumafu and Sakata are now a high school students. At first, people are avoiding and ignoring the three for having red eyes. Shima was really worried about it and requested to their school principal to put the three in one class. The purple hair is really thankful that the principal had considered it and put them in one class.

Right now, the three always go to his class whatever lunch break or when the school over. Shima's class already used to the three's presences. So when they noticed the three, they will inform Shima.

"Oi Shima! Your brothers are here again!"

The purple hair look up from his note book and see the three peek from the door. He smile a bit and clean up his place before stand up.

"Nii-chan.... Let's go to the rooftop..." Sakata tug Shima's sleeve.
"We want to see the school's view from up there!" Mafu smile.
"Please, Shima-nii." Amatsuki look at him as his red eyes sparkle. Shima chuckle before pat their heads.
"Sure sure. Let's go~"
"Yeay~"

The albino and redhead begin to pull Shima's hands as the brunette push him from behind. The four brothers climb the stairs all way up to the school's rooftop. As Shima push the door open, a quite strong wind blew pass through them. The three red-eye boys smile widely as they run around.

"Uwah~ As I thought! The school is big!!" Mafumafu chirp.
"Yeah!!"
"Next time, we'll have lunch here with Shima-nii. How's that, Sakatan? Mafu-kun?"
"Nice idea!!"

Shima laugh a bit at the three's excitement. Guess his own happiness appear when the three of them are happy.

Happiness wouldn't stay forever.

"Oh look." Shima, Amatsuki, Mafumafu and Sakata turn around.

There's always something trying to stop it.

"It isn't the three red-eye monsters and their red scarf brother?" Shima tug the three behind him and narrowed his eyes.

If only there's a way to let it stay forever.

"What do you want from us?"
"Us want something from you?" The male student chuckle.

So people wouldn't shed their tears.

"We just walk around and see some people walk towards the rooftop. So we decided to follow them from behind without getting notice by them."

But, the world is cruel.

"Then, why are you following us? What do you exactly wanted?" Shima felt Sakata tug his scarf tighter and he can heard small whimper from the redhead.

Cruel enough for the innocent ones.

"Oi! You!" Sakata flinch, "Don't you remember me?"

The ones who never deserve this sadness and pain.

"Sakata?" Shima glance at the redhead. Sakata's bangs covered his eyes as he slowly nod, "Who is he, Sakata?"

Why?

"Who is he, Sakata?"
"He... He..."
"Don't tell me..." Amatsuki look at the redhead, "He's the one who..."

Why...?

"Yes... He's the one who... often bullied me in middle school..."

Why did they have to face this in their life?

"A-Are... A-Are you serious?" Mafu's eyes widen. Sakata nod as Shima's eyes widen.
"Glad you still remember me, whimp." He grin.

Why do people hate them?

"Why..." The purple hair grit his teeth, "Why did you never tell me?"
"B-Because I don't want Maashi-nii to worry..." He sob and Mafu pull the redhead to a hug before look at Shima.

They're all innocent.

"Still a crybaby?" He laugh, "Weak as always aren't you."

They never did anything wrong to this world.

"You..."

But why...

"Yeah?"

Why...

"Don't you ever touch Sakata." Shima glare at them. The three males look at each other before laugh at the purple hair. Shima narrowed his eyes more and grit his teeth, "I'm warning you."
"If I don't? What will you going to do?"

Why does the world hate them?

Shima tighten up his fist before launch himself towards them.
"Maashi-nii!!"
"Nii-chan!!"
"Shima-nii!!!"

What's their sins to this world? What's the problem to have these precious boys in our world?

Shima give a hard punch to the male at his cheek, causing him to fall. His other two friends look at him before glare at Shima.
"How dare you punch him!!" He give Shima a punch while the other one kick him by the side.

"ONII-CHAN!!!!!"

Why's fate torturing these pure souls?

"Damn you!!" The one who Shima give a punch, kick the purple hair by the stomach. Shima fall backwards as the three begin to beat him up.

"Maashi-nii!!"
"Stop it!!!!"
"Please!!!"

Shima open his eyes slightly as he sees the three red-eyes are already about to cry. He frown.

No... No... Don't cry...

He bite his lips to prevent from screaming in pain so Amatsuki, Mafumafu and Sakata wouldn't start to cry and beg them to stop.

Onii-chan is fine...

"STOP IT!!!" Sakata run towards them.
"Sakata!!"

No... Don't come nearer... I won't forgive myself if you get hurt...

"I said stop it!!" Sakata pull one of them to try to stop them. They shove Sakata hardly before they punch him.
"SAKATA!!" Amatsuki and Mafumafu run towards the redhead as he hold his cheek and tears streaming down his cheeks.

Don't cry, Maashi-nii is okay...

"Tch, let's go. I have enough beating this guy." The three walk away from the four brothers.

Amatsuki eyed them. As they lost from his sight, they immediately went to Shima's side. Mafu's eyes watered as he look at the purple hair's condition.
"Nii-chan... We're sorry..."
"If... If we didn't asked you to... Bring us here..." Sakata wipe his endless tears.
"This wouldn't be happening..." A year slip from Amatsuki's eyes.

Stop... Crying...

"Ama-chan... Mafu... Sakatan... It's... It's..."

It's not your fault...

"It's our fault..... You're been beaten up because of us..." Sakata sob.

No... It's not.

"No... Sakatan... It's not your fault..." Shima weakly raise up his hand and wipe Sakata's tears with a weak smile on his face.

You guys just don't deserve this pain.

"B-But..."
"Shh, it's okay, Mafumafu." Shima pat the albino's head.

You guys really don't deserve this kind of life.

"I... I just can't do anything to help you.." Amatsuki frown and his eyes been covered by his bangs.
"Ama-chan, it's okay. You would hurt if you try to help."

You guys deserve this world's love, not cruelty.

"Shima-kun!!"

"Oi!! Shima!! Hang in there!!!"

"Don't you dare close your damn eyes!!"

Who kind enough to accept them.

"Soraru-san, will nii-chan will be okay?"

I begin to wonder...

"Yes he will. I'll carry him to the infirmary. Senra, you will help Sakata. Urata, you, Mafu and Amatsuki go inform the teachers about this! Tell them what happened!"

What will happen to the three of them if I'm gone?

"Sakata, let's go to the infirmary. Can you walk?"

Will somebody protect them from any kind of danger?

Ah- they're crying again...

"We'll leave you four alone." She smile as she, Soraru, Senra and Urata walk out from the infirmary.

"Because of what?"
"They're... My bullies in... Middle school... I..."
"Who give a damn care if they're your bully or not. The important thing is that bully isn't a good thing." Shima force himself to sit up.
"Ah! Shima-nii, you should lay down!!"
"I'm okay, Mafu. Sakata. You should tell me about the bully thingy. I wouldn't forgive myself if one of you got hurt. Amatsuki, if you know about it then you should tell me."
"I'm sorry, nii-chan..."

Shima eyed the three before weakly sigh and run his fingers through his hair.
"No, I'm the one who should apologies. Not you three..."
"Eh?"
"I thought that I could protect you three from every danger in this world. But in fact that I actually can't... I'm sorry..." The three share looks before hug their beloved older brother.
"Everyone make a mistake..."
"Everyone had their own problems..."
"Everyone got their own solution...'

Shima blink.

"Nii-chan, you know..."
"We're the luckiest trio..."
"In this world because we have you as our brother, Maashi-nii."
"Even if we're once a human experiments..."
"Shima-nii still never giving up on us..."
"That's why we love you."

It's okay to cry because...

Shima's eyes watered and he hug the three protectively in his arms.

The strongest person who is cried the most.

"I love you too... I can't imagine what will I do without you three in my life."
"Same as us, nii-chan."

It seems that my time haven't come yet. So now... I can still protect these precious ones. I can still keep their smiles and... Keep my favourite word in their hearts and it's....

'Happiness'

The nurse and Shima's friends walk in and smile. Only too see, Shima cuddling his baby brothers close while his red muffler connect them all.
