DREAM
Dreamed that I was at my grandparents' (fictional) vacation mansion. A bunch of people from school were going to stay there for a while due to the virus (idk, it didn't make sense.) One girl demanded that everyone make a path for her as she went into the house. Apparently I didn't back away fast enough, so she yelled at me in front of everyone for that, as well as not having my parents there to greet her. My parents had gotten stuck in traffic several hours away and could not have been there on time. I told her and apologized. Furious, she went inside. A lot of the guests avoided me after that, not because they were mad at me, but because they were afraid of her.
I had to stay in the attic. It wasn't as fancy as the other rooms, but it had a ton of space, so I made a little art studio there. The only people who came to talk to me were my grandparents and one of my best college friends. She and I would sit on the stairs, drink soda, and talk about stuff. She also relayed messages back and forth to our other friends, since I couldn't see them. Whenever everyone made plans and left, my grandparents and I would get the whole house to ourselves for a few hours. It was pretty chill, honestly.
At one point, a bunch of the girls (including me) went to a mall-type place (idk why that was allowed, but it was.) Almost everyone was still avoiding me, but they would smile at me when no one was looking. The one girl was there too, but my friend and I stuck together and sort of hid from her. We got juice and it was cool.
Despite all the hardships, I'd say this was a pleasant dream. It reminded me of who matters most in life, that people can care more than they seem to, that even the worst situations can have good in them, and that humility and kindness are better than arrogance and hate.
There are a few reasons why this dream might have formed. First, my grandparents own a cottage irl and I miss visiting. Second, I miss my friends from school, and I've only been able to talk to one often. Also, I've been looking at houses online, including a few mansions because hey, it's okay to dream LOL. I've been drinking some soda (trying to regulate it,) and obviously, the virus is going on. Lastly, and most interestingly in my opinion, I came across a simplified version of Frances Hodgson Burnett's A Little Princess while I was cleaning the bookshelf and skimmed it a bit. I loved that book when I was younger, and I guess my brain decided to create a (vaguely) similar plotline for my dream!
WOOZY
I've been a bit woozy again today. Been mixing up pronouns and misspelling words. Luckily, I'm able to notice and correct them right away. Also, I've been clumsy. It's probably just PMDD-related, so I'm not too concerned.
YOUTUBE
Watched some YouTube this morning.
CLEANING
Did some cleaning. Accomplished yesterday's goals of reorganizing my craft wardrobe and jewelry rack, although the wardrobe still looks icky in my opinion. Maybe I'm just being too perfectionistic. My dad also ordered some storage cubes for my closet. He insisted on paying. That's too nice of him. People have been so kind to me lately and idk how best to return it LOL. Still, I'll try.
BF
Was on calls with BF for a few hours today. We miss each other a lot, and he's sad that he can't hug me. He says it's my decision now, since he doesn't think the virus is real (thanks, conspiracy theorists,) but he's still respectful about it. We only have a little while to go, though, and I'd rather be safe than sorry. We'll be okay.
SHOW
While we were talking, I remembered this show called Liberty's Kids. It was about the American Revolution, and I loved it when I was around 9/10. Although the show covered a long period of time, the characters NEVER AGED! Also, they were friends with Benjamin Franklin. Apparently I had a severe case of the giggles while I was talking, so I wheezed to the point of tears for a solid ten minutes.
HAWKY
Since my mom and sister J were busy most of the day, Hawky was shut in my parents' room. That way, they could focus without her chirping. This got very boring for Hawky, and I felt bad, so I brought her in my room. She doesn't like it in here, so once she was out of her cage, she spent a few minutes jumping by the door. Soon, she got tired of that, so she waddled over and sat on my knee. We watched The Office and Tiger King, which seemed to amuse her. Then everyone was done with their work, so sister G picked her up and she got free reign of the house again LOL.
TIGER KING
Debating whether or not to watch Tiger King anymore. It's fascinating, sure, but it creeps me out. I'm not sure I want to give those people attention.
TAKEOUT
Got to have takeout for dinner. Grilled cheese and fries. It was good.
YOU
How are you today?
