AS THE BOYS turned around, I saw their faces. I had never seen them before, and I would surely remember if I did. They were three of the most handsome boys I had ever seen. But why stick up for a plain girl like me? Oh, I bet if Ino hears about this she'll have a hissy fit. That would be hilarious if it weren't for the fact that she'll take it out on me. I feel a wave of nausea as I finally glance down at my lap and see the blood-covered clothes adorning my body. My green eyes slowly trail back up to the men in front of me.
The boy directly in front of me, who took Sasuke's punch, had blood-red hair, and teal eyes. He had dark rings around his eyes from lack of sleep it seems. He seemed to radiate an air of confidence and coldness. His expression was annoyed as if he didn't want to save me in the first place. Why did he even help me if he was just going to glare at me like I somehow forced him to do it? The other two boys weren't so cold and cocky looking.
The one to my right had long, chocolate brown hair, and pale lavender eyes. His eyes kinda weirded me out. Not to be rude or anything, it's just they feel like they are looking straight through me. At least this guy seemed a bit nicer than the last. He seemed a bit more open with his emotions, he was giving me a pitying gaze.
The last one, the guy to the left of me had sun-kissed blonde hair and cerulean blue eyes. He was just bursting with barely contained anger and didn't seem to hide his emotions at all. But who was I to judge, I had the worst anger issues ever. If I were to guess, I would say this guy is always gushing with energy. The blonde reached out his hand to me, the pure worry in his gaze softening my urge to bristle at his help. I bit my lip and ignored his offered hand and stood up slowly and carefully. I really didn't want to fall down in front of whatever-their-names. I cautiously started to walk around them when a hand gripped my shoulder. It forcefully turned me around to face them. It was the mean redhead, who also seemed to be the self-appointed leader.
"Where are you going? Aren't you going to thank us?" He asked calmly, in the most monotone voice I had ever heard. It was actually quite eerie.
"Thank you," I grumble quietly. I began to walk away again, but then someone forcefully pulled me around again.
What could they possibly want now? I look up and met the gaze of the loud blonde guy. He looked like a kicked puppy, his eyes hurt and I could tell he felt dejected that I rejected his offered hand.
"Don't you wanna stay with us? You're so pretty!" He said a bit too loudly. Wow, I thought I had made it clear.
"Sorry, no thank you," I replied back while dodging the other comment.
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki!" He stubbornly continued. He put forth his hand again, and I sighed but nonetheless shook his outstretched hand and smiled softly. He was a bit on the loud side, but I sort of found his warm genuine energy endearing.
"I'm Neji Hyuga," the one with brown hair said. He was looking at me strangely and it almost made me want to run away. I looked expectantly at the redhead.
"Gaara," he said simply. 'Jesus! Could he be any happier to meet me' I thought sarcastically.
"I'm Sakura," I said softly. I sighed for what seemed like the hundredth time and started moving towards the school building. I had better go to the washroom to see if I could clean myself up some. A hand grabbed mine not even five seconds after I started walking.
"Sakura-chan, we're new here, please show us around!" Naruto pleaded. I stared at him, confused. Seriously, I thought they would've walked away already. But, I can't say no with the puppy dog eyes he's flashing at me, besides maybe part of me knew it would be nice not to be alone.
"Sure, I'll show you around Naruto, but don't blame me if people don't like you," I said with a smile that looked more like a wince. Neji saw the way my face seemed to darken and he frowned. Gaara, who was tuning us out, turned to look at me curiously.
"Sakura-chan, why would people not like us?" Naruto asked while he tapped my shoulder.
"People don't like me, and if you are seen hanging with me, they'll hate you too. So just leave me alone, you've done enough for me already." I say, allowing my hair to fall in front of my face. Everything was silent, even the birds, that were chirping a second ago. Maybe they'll actually listen to me and leave me alone.
"Do you seriously think we care about what all the morons here think of us?" Neji says breaking the silence. I look up at him, shocked.
"Pinky, we aren't going anywhere, so do us a favor and shut up," Gaara says, rudely.
"Gaara, I don't mean to be rude, but it isn't my fault that you have a stick so far up your ass that you're always cranky," I say with a grin. My first smile in months! And I didn't force it just came naturally! Gaara's eye twitched and he glared at me.
"Oh, she got you Gaara!" Naruto yelled, laughing his ass off. Even Neji chuckled a little bit. I looked around at the scene. Naruto was still laughing like an idiot. Neji had a smirk on his face as he stared at Gaara's enraged face. And Gaara... Well, he was glaring daggers at a flower in front of him. Oh if eyes could kill, that poor flower would be dead. I was smiling happily, enjoying the fact that I wasn't alone.
