"I said I'm fine!" Johd snapped, wrapping a bandage around his shoulder.

Link glared at him. Link had only offered him help one. Single. Time. And Johd had snapped at him and kept insisting that he didn't need any help. Link stopped offering 5 minutes ago.

"Don't need your help," Johd muttered, "Don't need no one's help."

Link shook his head, and ran a hand through his hair.

"You really are just--" Link cut himself off, not even sure where to go with that sentence.

Johd growled, but said nothing.

"After you finish that, what are we going to do?" Link asked.

"What are we gonna do? What are we gonna do?!" Johd was clearly very angry, "I'll tell you what we're gonna do. We're gonna chase down that son of a b--"

"Okay, okay, I get it, I get it."

"If he hadn't hit me in the shoulder, I'd have taken him down with my bare hands."

"I'm sure you would've," Link squinted his eyes suspiciously.

"You need to shut your mouth," Johd snapped.

Link rolled his eyes, but did "shut his mouth".

Louis looked over at Rhys, then at the crying girl.

They were almost right behind her now.

"Um... Are you okay?" Rhys asked.

The girl leaped to her feet, and stumbled. She nearly fell into the river behind her.

After regaining her balance, she snapped, "Leave me alone!"

"What's wrong?" Louis asked. He thought it looked like the girl from Nine, but he could only remember that her name started with a 'K'.

"I'm a horrible person, I'm a horrible person," she muttered, putting her head back into her hands.

"But what happened?" Rhys asked.

"I left him behind," she cried, "I left Jackson!"

Kasey, Kiara, Kayley, Katherine, Katelyn, Katrina, Kendra.

What was her name?

Kimberley?

Kim?

Kimmy?

Louis couldn't decide which one made the most sense...

Rhys continued to question the girl, and she continued to cry, but Louis was too caught up on trying to figure out her name.

"Kimi!" Louis suddenly cried.

The girl's head snapped over to him, "What? What is it?"

"Oh, nothing. Sorry."

Kimi blinked.

"--We hadn't even been allies for a day. But I left him, and now he's probably going to die..."

Louis blinked. How much had he missed?! He guessed he would just have to figure it out on his own...

"Well, we can help you," Rhys suddenly decided, "We could be allies."

"What?" Louis asked, looking over at Rhys.

"So you think it's be better to leave her behind? She could be helpful."

"No that's not what I said. But don't you think we should discuss these thing? We don't have much food or water..." Louis said, shaking his head.

"I think she could help us get those things!"

Louis sighed, "If she can help us, I don't see why not."

"Welcome to the team!" Rhys cried joyfully.

Kimi just stared. She was very confused as to what just happened. But she guessed it wouldn't be bad to ally with them...

Clara wandered through the woods. Where was she?

She had been on her own since Cole died...

She was scared. But she wanted to win, and so she held herself together.

No matter how hard that was...

She just walked. She was very tired, and very hungry, and very thirsty.

But she kept walking.

One foot at a time, she walked around the arena.

If she heard someone walking, she hid.

Until she came across someone sitting down against a tree.

She approached carefully.

They didn't seem to have a weapon. Or anything else, for that matter.

The person didn't even look up. He looked like all the life had been drained out of him.

He muttered something under his breath, but she couldn't hear what.

"H-Hello?" Clara said.

"Go away!" the person screeched at her.

Clara shrieked, and turn.

And ran.

She ran for so long. Her lungs screamed for air, the taste of blood filled her mouth--despite the fact that she wasn't bleeding, and her sides cramped.

But then she fell.

She fell.

Splash, in the river she went.

Clara didn't even have time to scream, before her head hit a rock, and she went unconscious.

Alive, for now. But not for long.

"Rhys! What's that?" A small boy's voice said. Clara could not hear.

"I don't k-- It's a person!" A second voice, this one a girl of about the same age.

"Get them out of the water then!!" The third voice was older, but still a girl.

Clara was pulled onto the shore.

"How long has she been under...?" the older girl's voice said.

"Is her heart beating? I haven't heard a cannon recently..." The young girl's voice.

"Yes!" the boy's voice gasped.

Clara coughed, water flying out of her mouth.

She sat up, looking around frantically.

"Hey, what happe--" the young girl asked.

Clara leaped to her feet.

"Don't touch me!"

Clara turned and ran again.

"Wait!"

Clara did not wait.

She had been saved.

But who's to say they hadn't saved her just so they could kill her themselves!?

She made sure to watch for water this time.

The trio did not chase after her.

The Panem Anthem started to play, and tributes all across the arena looked up to the sky.

Only 3 faces appeared tonight, but many more were to come.

District One Female. Harper Mays.

District Two Male. Cole Wellrock.

District Eight Female. Evie Hubbard.

Only 3 deaths today. 3 deaths today, 3 deaths today.

But the night wasn't over yet.

Zane sighed. They had been walking for just a little while, and were probably about halfway to the border.

When It happened.

It had seemed like it was going to be a normal night.

But with 11 Tributes left, the Gamemakers needed to... spice things up a bit.

It a noise sharp, loud noise that Zane could really only describe one way.

It was as though the sky itself was shattering to pieces.
