Link watched hesitantly from the opposite side of the Cornucopia. He watched as Louis stared down at the Kimi, after brutally murdering Rachett.
She was screaming and crying. Begging for mercy, Link guessed.
Nothing seemed to be working, as Louis stepped closer.
"Let's go. I think they can handle that on their own," Link suggested, turning away.
Johd stared at the two for a while longer. He shrugged, then also turned.
The pair walked off into the decimated woods.
And listened.
But no cannon fire ever came.

"Louis no! Please!! I, I'm sorry! I didn't meant to hurt--" Kimi begged, tears streaming down her face.
Louis took a step closer.
"Please, forgive me! What do you want me to do?! How do you want me to show you I'm sorry?!"
Louis said nothing. His hands were shaking, blood dripping off of him onto the grass.
Kimi didn't know what else to say. She could talk her way out of any situation.
Except this one.
She'd had lost her hope.
She was dead.
Louis raised his spear.
Kimi wailed.
And then something popped into her had.
"RHYS WOULDN'T WANT THIS!"
Rhys.
Rhys, Rhys, Rhys...
Louis fell still.
The spear dropped, next to Kimi.
Louis shook his head.
He said nothing.
In a heartbeat, he turned and ran off.
Kimi stayed on the ground, breathing heavily, wiping the tears off her face.
She stood up.
She considered letting him run off on his own.
But then remembered Jackson with a painful wince.
And off she went after him, picking up the spear as she went.

Marisa kept watch as Kefira slept. She needed to sleep. Both of them were beyond exhausted.
But Kefira needed it more. So Marisa stayed awake.
It was a good time to reflect.
Zane was dead.
Along with 3 others, who had died in the tsunami.
And then more had died in the Cornucopia just now. But Marisa did not know who.
She kind of hoped it was Link or Johd. Not because she disliked either of them, but because she thought they were most likely to win right now. So if they were dead, she wouldn't have to deal with them.
Well, maybe except Kefira herself.
She thought that Kefira could probably win, if she really wanted to.
But why wouldn't she?
A couple hours passed, and Kefira was still peacefully asleep.
Marisa sat in silence, wondering what might happen in the morning.
She could die. She could die tomorrow and that would be it.
Kefira could die.
That kind of uncertainty was what she hated.
Marisa's stomach growled.
They needed food. She'd have to ask Kefira about that when she woke up. Maybe they could find some berries or something?
But how would they know if they were poisonous?
Marisa sighed, leaning against the rock wall.
She yawned, but shook herself awake.
