so yes, guys, that was it.

it was a very bittersweet and open ending, but that's what i was aiming for

but i actually cried while writing the last couple chapters...

-Y'ALL. Johd was 16. Link was (is?) actually 18. i still ship them though, it's only 2 years

-Jackson and Evie were going to be allies(obviously), but they never met up...

-Louis and Sarrium agreed to be allies during Training, but we all know how that ended...

-Meriten, Rhys, and Kimi were going to be allies originally, but I changed it when I thought about MARISA AND ZANE (I do have a valid explanation for this, not just "because a part of me shipped it")

D E A T H S:

-I hadn't meant for Rachett to kill Zane, but it felt right when it came down to it.

-The "event" was going to be worse. More people were going to die(I considered killing off 6 or 7 characters) but then I realized that the book would end at like chapter 9...

-I stuck to a general rule of thumb of 1 death per chapter--with the exceptions of the few few chapters, the event, and a couple others where no one died.

-Link was originally going to die during the event. Johd was going to leave him behind--as Johd was on watch and Link was asleep. Yep, not even kidding.

-I created Tanth to die during the Bloodbath. The reason why? I realized last minute there was no District 11 Male, so, I made him quick and killed him off.

Harper--killed by Kefira by stabbing with a throwing knife
