Arc 4

Ch1

Mimi woke up, he was on the same place as he had fallen unconscious. He lay there for a while, maybe minutes, maybe hours, maybe even years. He had no idea how long he had slept. But once he had opened his eyes and took notice he was still on the floor he sat up.

He felt nothing.

There was only one thing left inside of him.

Fear.

Those shattered fragments of his soul contained most of his feelings and without them he'll be a mess.

He was afraid of everything, afraid to move or touch anything. He can't remember somethings as well, how he knew? He remembered the first world yet the rest were a blur.

[Welcome back host!] He flinched terribly as he fell to the floor trembling in fear. [Don't be afraid host, your soul is scattered around all kinds of world, we'll have to get them, the next world is unknown to me, but I know that there are three fragments of your soul there. To apologize for the last world my creator had rewarded you with two million spirit points, one free skill and a health potion in compensation. Would you like to open your bundle now or wait until the end of the next world?]

"B-bundle?" Mimi stuttered.

[Yes, you have a bundle that you were rewarded with when one of your missiosn surpassed their max percentage.]

"I'd l-like to open i-it please." Mimi whispered, too afraid to speak any louder.

[Right away host!] With an excited tone Banana opened up the bundle and a list of items were shown along with more SP and a free skill. [As always before anything else, why not choose a skill for you to learn before moving to your bundle?]

Nodding he looked to his side and saw floating words.

Talking
Writing

"Mr. B-banana?" Mimi spoke up. "Why is there so simple skills?"

[Your soul is too broken to observe any stronger skills.]

With a simple explanation he choose the only two skills that were available and probably useful which was writing and talking... Obviously.

[Great host! This is your bundle! You have recieved, one hundred thousand SP and a bottle of purification pills, a world key and a free space bag, that you can take in all of your worlds.]

After everything was settled and Banana had explained why the skills in the bundle couldn't be absorbed because of his more broken soul he was sent to the next world.

[I apologize for the strain host, you'll feel a painful discomfort resulting in your very weakened soul.]

And with that he was sent to the next world.

Opening up he woke with the sound of the deafening silence. Sitting up from what seemed to look like the couch it made a small ruffle sound as he looked around the brown colored living room.

He felt scared, there hadn't been anything so silent in his entire life. He felt even more alone than he already was. He didn't know what to do, his first thought was to curl up into a ball and stay there until someone saved him, but he knew no one would, he was useless, and idiot, and many other names that his master would always call him, he now knew that everything he had said were true, no one will ever love him. And no one ever will.

[This world is filled with war, there are only two sides, the one of gods and the one of humans, although both are known as humans, the god side is filled with better equipped weapons. Why they haven't won was because the other side of humans were equipped with amazing armor since they were located ontop of a land filled with the strongest metal they have on the entire planet.

[The main characters are Narron the prince and next heir to the God's side and Tiaka, the princess and next heir to the human side. Throughout their journey they stumble upon eachother when their group of men and women were lead to a false location and were soon lost among the ambush. They stumbled upon themselves and fell in love throughout their journey to get back to their sides of the war and stop the war for good, there were many obstacles among their road, yet like any cliche love story they made it on time as both sides met at their own edges of no man land and broke it apart, alining eachother and resulting in the union if both humans and gods. Both traded their resources and lived in peace for millenia to come.

[You host are the princess' little brother, Trinka, many knew of you and how the princess cherrished you throughout your life. You were the very pride of the king as you held such delicate features of the late queen who had died giving birth to you. What the public doesn't know is that behind the palace doors is a nightmare, where your older sister would abuse you and hurt you from the moment you were able to walk. Why? No one knows, it's your mission to expose her true self and gain the human's approval before you death day at the hands of your own sister who killed you off when she became queen of all, best of luck Trinka.]

Trinka walked towards the mirror and looked at himself, his body was aching slightly, there were places where it hurt the most and he had an idea as to what it was and why. Limping, he finally arrived at the mirror, what stared back at him made his breath hitch, he was truly a beauty among both men and women. His hair was a soft pale blonde, almost silver looking and his golden eyes were warm and narrow, giving him a mischievous and gentle look.

He looked all around the room and saw that it was decorated like royalty, bright happy colors from gold trinkets to bright yellow drapes, it was a wonder that he had woken up on his own instead of the blinding light of his room's window. Walking towards the window his heart skipped a beat, it wasn't a war filled world for nothing.

Below his window was a wall that separated the castle and the people, inside the palace walls were beautifully kept greenery and tall gorgeous trees and a breathtaking garden, yet just past the wall it was like a whole different world. The houses looked run down and the people seemed really poor considering that a war had been in motions for a thousand years.

A knock from his door snapped him out of his pity filled eyes as they were soon flooded with terror.

Who was it?

Why were they here?

What where they going to do?

He didn't have to be a genius to figure out who it was when a louder and more fierce knock came and afterwards a sickly sweet voice.

"Little brother~ open the door, I have a special treat for you." She kicked the door open and gave a sly smile towards the small boy who was fourteen years old. "You know I sent four maids to come and get you yet you refused to open up even when my name was mentioned. You're being a bad little brother, and do you know what I do when you're a bad little brother?"

"Pl-please." His voice was small and heart breaking to everyone that would hear it, they would have want to kill anyone who dared make him sad and frightened, but for the young woman at the age of twenty three it simply made her feel disgusted.

"Shut up!" She shouted in rage at the disgusting boy that kneeled before her. "This is where you belong, beneath my feet."

[Optional objective, figure out why Tiaka loathes Trinka.]

Banana spoke up from out of nowhere as he saw the scene unfold, pity in its nonexistent body as he was aware of the overwhelming fear inside its host.

"Why." He sobbed as a kick was sent his way. "Why do you hate me so much."

"Why? Why?! WHY?!!." Tiaka fumed as she sneered at the pitiful boy. "Because you were born, if it wasn't for you father would only think of me and only me to take over the throne and this war. Yet I overheard him say that he's thinking about placing you instead! I'm the older one, I'm the first born. Not. You."

This kingdom wasn't like others at old times, if a prince or princess is born first then they will be placed on the throne, there is no man who is superior to women.

[Mission success: three hundred points]

After ten minutes of non-stop beatings the princess left with a sneer and a flick to her beautiful golden hair, a trade mark of their royal blood line.

Just like Trinka he too has blonde hair, although his was longer than his sister's. It wasn't that Tiaka didn't look like a girl, she wasn't the Female Lead for nothing, her image shouted royalty and her aura screamed the future queen of the Aianan kingdom. That was what she was supposed to accomplish, but now that he was here he had to stop it.

But how?

He was now a coward.

[Soul shard detected: eighteen meters.]

\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\

Ch2

"Shard?" Trinka's eyes slightly widened in hope, but he didn't move, too scared to find Tiaka standing there with a sinister smile, itching to beat him once more.

He let out a quivering breath and headed quickly towards the bathroom, he needed to take a shower to clear his frightened head.

Right now he needed to think about the objective, he needs to expose the  wretched thing called his sister. Maybe even kill her-

[Negative host, death to the Female Lead will result in automatic failure and ejection of this world, if you were to be ejected from this world then the last spec of soul shard you have in you will shatter and you will cease to exist.]

Well that's wiped off the table. Its said that she poisoned him the day she left for the scouting to the other side of the war. When she had fallen in love and everything happened and became queen she killed Trinka off and announced that the poison in him had worsened and taken his own life. He needs to also separate the two leads of this world, if not everything goes down the drain. Which means instead of her going alone to the scouting, getting ambushed and accidentaly falling into a nearby river, he'll need to go as well with her and pretend to save her when Tiaka was the one who was supposed to fall in. This will probably lead him to meet the male lead. As he thought this he had finished showering and placed clean clothes on himself.

He'll need to convince the king...

Which was outside this door and inside the throne room.

Outside the door.

He can't even move towards the door
after the encounter with Tiaka, his legs would tremble at the thought of her. Old memeories from this body surfaced as the many other beatings slammed into his mind, resulting in a hot liquid to emerge from his pants, looking down his eyes sweled with tears when looking at his pitiful self.

He peed himself.

I can't do it. Trinka conducted in his thoughts as he fell towards the floor with silent sobs wraking his entire body. I can't do it, this is too much. War is scary, I can't do it. I can't!

His soul became unstable, his mind broken as his bright shining golden eyes became empty, no light that entered would make it shine that way ever again.

He felt hollow, there was nothing inside of him, yet the immense fear made him suffocate when thinking about it.

Mimi was too broken.

[Host?] Banana spoke up as he felt something inside his system, soon determination coursed through his body as he saw the emotionless and broken limb body on the floor, silent tears flowing non-stop. [D-don't worry host, I'll take over for a while and find the soul shard for you. You should be grateful, this is entirely against protocal, last time I did so because you spend SP. I'll get you up and running again, just hold on!]

Banana entered the young boy's broken body and gasped when taking control, he stood up abruptly and went to take a quick shower once more. Thinking about how sad it was for his host to go through such pain. He hadn't realized that as he was showering he was actually crying.

After finishing up and dressing up quickly he opened the door and peeked out of the room. This was entirely out of his registration, if the higher ups ever heard of this he'll get demoted and be working around files for millenia like the other system who made a mistake. A shiver ran up his spine as he darted through the massive halls, dodging security and knights as he felt the distance of the soul shard nearing. Yet as he rememebered the current state of his host was, determination coarsed through his body as he ran harder, with the body of Trinka it also came with memory training, which means that as Banana took control he also remembered the training by muscle memory and didn't have to think about the training rather than letting the body do all the work, flashing here and there as he pushed himself to the limit to get to the shard.

He stopped in front of two massive doors. He looked around with a worried face, a face that didn't look like his usual host at all. He was worried that he'll be found out, unlike his host he wasn't good at most things like acting and fighting, even if the body had muscle memory it could only to so much before it falls. He was only good at providing things for his host and searching, and once he gets an upgrade he'll be even more powerful and will be able to do more things he couldn't possibly imagine.

Banana slipped inside and found himself standing inside of a very big library. Probably even bigger that usual human libraries, seeing that it was the size of a very big house and multiple rows and shelves of books probably containing all kinds of categories.

Walking he felt the distance shorten as he neared, what he assumed was the center of the library. Five minutes later he was standing infront of a big stand, ontop was a big thick and ancient book. It was closed and at the center read history of our lost brothers opening it up Banana flipped through the pages but a beeping started up.

"Oh no, I don't have much time left." Banana panicked as he flipped through the pages then he was soon pushed out.

[Crap, times up. Host, you need to listen carefully, flip through the pages!] Banana spoke towards the now emotionless boy who stood without a single motion of moving, he looked like a realistic painting of a boy who suffered through so much. [Host please!]

Agonizingly slow Trinka lifted a beautifully sculpted hand. He layed it onto the worn page and flipped it, until stopping at a page right at the center of the book, the chapter read; instincts of survival.

It was then and there that Trinka carressed the page as it showed two men fighting side by side and soon enough a bright light erupted, as the light dimmed a small shard floated, smaller than that of a fingernail.

[Grab it host, it'll make you feel better.]

Better? Trinka thought as his palm hovered beside the shard. Better. He clasped it as a sharp pain erupted in the pit of his chest, with a gasp he could feel something else than fear, it felt like courage, yet mixing those two would result in something unfathomable. He gasped as the pain faded slowly and stood grasping the stand as he caught his breath.

Still holding no emotion on his face Trinka closed the book back and roamed around the library, he grabbed the closest one and skimmed through it. He hummed with a disapproving look, this was a book filled with strategy and the past battles their kingdom went through.

"We won? With such a childish strategy? It's a wonder that we didn't fall at the very beginning, the only reason we won was beacuse of the location." Trinka spoke with courage and a little fear at the thought of them losing in the future.

"Trinka? Is that you little one?" A middle aged man spoke from behind him, startling Trinka, he didn't know his defence was lowered.

Standing grand was the king, a mighty crown sat ontop of his golden brown hair as a wise look was seen in his eyes. The armor he wears was the best of the best with gold and silver and a sword strapped to his side, a white and gold cape hung on his broad shoulders. He looked no older than fourty, but seeing as this world's people grow slightly slowly than others he must be in his sixties.

"Daddy, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in the throne room?" Trinka spoke recalling the way his father would always tell him to adress him as daddy whenever he wasn't on the throne room.

"I left early, I heard you haven't been out of your room for a while, why is that, is something wrong?" The king spoke with a worried look to his youngest child.

"Wise as always daddy, I feel..." Trinka acted out as he trailed off.

"What, feel what?" The king edged on.

"Useless." Trinka bowed his head in shame. "Unlike eldest sister who is strong and beautiful, I am weak and useless, she's out fighting for our kingdom while I'm here eating food and living carefree, sister is risking her life while I'm safe."

"Enough Trinka, that is no way to talk about yourself. Your sister is out fighting because she wants to protect you, she wished for you to live a life without war." The king said as he lifted his son's chin up, seeing the delicate features and the beautiful golden eyes that Trinka's mother had.

"I wish to ask you for a favor your majesty." Trinka looked into his father's brown eyes.

"Speak." His father said as he saw the serious look in his son's eyes, he knew it was something important everytime his son would adress him by his title.

"I wish to help in the war."

"Denied."

"B-but father!" Trinka stuttered as he looked desperate. "I don't have to fight, I can look over strategies, our history's strategies are complete trash, its a miracle that we've come this far-" Trinka caught himself too late as he closed his mouth and bowed his head.

"You're just like your mother." The king smiled gently. "When we became married I didn't love her, I had thought that she was like other women who wanted status and riches, that she was an idiot when it came to things about the war, but one night when I had gone out of my studies I entered the library, she was mocking our strategies, just how you were doing just now."

At the mention of his ridiculing Trinka blushed slightly. "They were trash daddy." He coughed under his breath.

"Alright, I'll let you go, but you'll have security all around you. Fourty should be fine." The king muttered to himself at the last part.

"F-fourty?" Trinka stuttered at his fathers overprotectiveness. "How about your secret knight?"

"You mean The foreigner Albert?" The king rose his eyebrow.

"Father I am not stupid, I mean that shadow you have around you at all times." Trinka said as his innocent eyes turned into something odd, yet before the king could decifer what it is it flashed away just as fast. "Why have fourty guards and waste recourses when you can appoint that guard which is worth a hundred guards, it's not as if your enemies would attack you, you're too strong."

"Fine, I'll let you have him, his name is actually shadow believe it or not, you'll be leaving with your sister in a week, I'll notify her-"

"No!" Trinka interfiered. "Don't tell her, I want it to be a surprise."

"You're sister will be delighted to have you." The king smiled tenderly at the young man. "Be careful, I wouldn't know what to do if I lost you too, when you get back I have something to tell you, so stay sharp out there, if you see danger run the other way, leave it to shadow to protect you."

"Yes your majesty." Trinka mocked a bow as the king laughed and pulled him into a hug.

"Shadow should be around, he doesn't like showing himself unless necessary." His head turned upward and looked around. "You hear that shadow? Make sure you take care of my son, he'll be your responsibility from now on." He turned to his son with a smile. "I think he's a little older than you, I found him long ago, he was alone and frightened, if possible, I'd want you to create a bond with him... Just don't get carried away, make sure you keep away from him when he's working."

With that the king left with a wave and a kiss to the cheek.

Ch3

As the king left for his work Trinka smiled sadly at the retreating form.

"Goodbye father." Trinka whispered as he bowed so low that you would feel touched as such a noble and proper display.

The young man that stayed in the shadows raised a brow, why goodbye? What is the young prince about to do? Whatever it is, if it's anything bad he'll do whatever he can to stop it. That was what his king told him to do and that's what he'll accomplish.

Turning around Trinka started to walk along the books shelves, he took book after book out, and skimmed through it, although it looked that way to an outsider, for Trinka he was casualy reading at his slowest pace to pass the time. Although the shadow heard their conversation he somehow thinks that this little prince wasn't anything special. He had probably heard about his mother's genius persona from someone and used it to do some mischief, either way he was stuck with him.

Yet somehow he wasn't disappointed, he was more so relieved but didn't know why.

Trinka left soon after as the sun began to set, he needed to prepare some things and sitting in the library wasn't going to do much preparing.

He felt different now that he has more of his soul, true, it was still empty and hollow inside but he had another emotion instead of fear, which made him feel glad that he doesn't have to be entirely scared of everything and everyone he was to meet. He had to thank Banana later when the chance arrives and the shadow that was lurking didn't prove much of an opportunity.

He thought back to the story, the shadow of his father was passed down to Tiaka when she became queen, although he was by her side all the time she didn't know it, her father didn't even tell her about him. Which was an odd thing to do considering it was something important like a personal guard. Throughout the entire story he was always in the shadows when she became queen, he didn't even intervene when Trinka was killed by her, and why would he, it wasn't like he needed to, he was the Queen's guard not her little brother's, whoever the queen choose to eliminate was her decision, her voice was law after all.

But now he was under his control, which changes things, what will be changed is completely out of Trinka's power.

Not minding the set of eyes trailing him he hummed the tune of his master, he knew he should hold hatred for him, but he couldn't, he was his master, their bond was strong when his family didn't become bankrupted and everything went down the drain. And it wasn't his master's fault for beating him all the time. His master was in distress for his life.

Shaking his head from the thoughts and surpressing his tears he entered his room and began to pack some essentials.

-/-/-/-///-/-/-/-/-

The week passed by in a flash, he avoided Tiaka as much as he could and finally the day came, he woke up early and took a shower, ignoring the intense gaze that was on his body as he changed and headed out of his room and towards the front of the palace where everyone was getting ready, his father stood there too with many soilders by his side.

"Goodmorning your majesty." Trinka bowed towards his father as the king turned and greeted with a smile.

"Goodmorning son."

"What are you doing out here so early in the morning little brother?" A sweet innocent voice sounded from beside them, making Trinka tense and not look her in the eye as their father spoke.

"Your brother wishes to be useful, so I've tasked him to be a moderator at your side, to look over strategies, he might not look it but he's amazing at planning a strategic plan which could probabaly win us the war." If this was the past Trinka the king was talking about he would have been very disappointed, he would have been too naive and blinded by his son's tricks.

"Really now?" Tiaka hummed as her loving gaze turned into a heated one when settling into her little brother, which the king noticed yet didn't say anything thinking that it was something pertaining to a woman's body.

"Then after you little brother." Tiaka motioned towards her Royal carriage.

"That won't be necessary, I've personaly made the workers build one even more secured, he'll also be inside the carriage with a couple of soilders, we wouldn't have anything going wrong now would we?" The king said as he puffed out his chest at his genius mind.

"No we wouldn't, well we have to get going now your majesty, I don't like to be behind schedule."

"I'll be going now daddy, I'll bring you back something special." Trinka whispered in a low tone with a small sweet smile, which cause the king to feel even more joy at his little boy and nod his head in agreement, praying in his heart for his son's safety.

Loading up equipment they journeyed off onto the road towards the info they had recieved from their spies. Only Trinka knew of the false information was sent by the other side themselves and wished to kill off as many enemy forces as possible, in the process they had not known that the princess of the kingdom was present.

Arriving to the first camping site they set up all the tents, gathered and hunted food for the night and cleaned their armor along with their guns.

Trinka sat by the side, looking at the young and old men minding their own buisness and having a good time. Although some had a grim expression, mostly being the many things they had to leave behind or even return to the battlefield where they had seen so much blood shed.

His usual calm and gentle expression changed without anyone noticing, it had turned into the emotionless and empty shell he used to be when he couldn't move at all.

Too weak.

Too useless.

If it wasn't for Banana he wouldn't know what would have happened to him. He vowed to Banana he'll buy him a permanent body in the next world.

His empty eyes looked down at the plate in his lap, he would have eaten inside the Royal tent with Taika but he didn't want to go through more abuse and risking himself to drop down again, instead he wished to gaze at the starry night. But like another world, he wasn't sure which one, the stars were intervened by the torches that lay about the camp site.

He had waited for a while before everyone turned in, a couple of moments later he pretend to turn in. Instead he snuck out from the back side of his tent and headed towards a clearing, he kept his eyes closed, letting Banana lead him. After sitting onto the ground he layed down and opened his eyes. What meet him was a sky filled with many stars scattered across the sky, four moons and distant galaxies along with the occasional milky way. It was gorgeous to the point where he found himself crying. He felt even more lonely as the stars mocked him showing that they had many with them while he was alone, unable to properly connect with him.

He curled himself up and trembled as he sobbed, trying to stay silent to not disturb anyone.

Sniffling he stood up as he heard Banana's voice.

[Soul shard half a meter away.] He spoke as he motioned towards a stone slightly farther away.

Arriving calmly at the stone he touched the top and a bright light errupted, the shard floated, it was slightly larger than the last, about the size of his pinky finger. Reaching forward he grabbed hold of it at the same time a voice spoke from behind him.

"Stop!" But he didn't listen as he brought it to his chest, letting it merge inside of him, he felt the pain as the first time, gasping as he surpressed the urge to scream out in pain.

After the light dimmed he painfully turned to see a man entirely dressed in black, his armor very well made as it shaped his body like one of God's many perfect creations. He saw the man with his hand lifted up in a defensive pose.

[EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY! EVACUATION COMMENCING IN FIVE SECOND, ESCAPE AT ALL COSTS! FIVE... FOUR... THREE...]

Before he could run, a hand grabbed hold of his arm and brought him closer.

[Emergency evacuation failed, may the virus give you a painless death.] Banana said as his voice trembled.

"L-let go!" Trinka shouted as he trembled in terror at Banana's defeated and saddened voice.

"My prince, this lowly one is sorry, this servant didn't mean to startle you, are you alright, what was that thing?"

A new feeling emerged.

Anger.

With a jumble of memories from his first world.

He looked up to glare at the man infront of him, he was taller than his Puny 5'5 at the age of fifteen, yet this guy who was probably a whole 6'5 was a year older than himself.

"You... You saw that?"

Banana! How come he can see the light and the shard?! Trinka panicked inside.

[It's probably becaus he's the virus host, he might have some advantages, odd, this virus isn't like most, it would usually want to kill the system's host and consume the system. I wonder what happened? It also had the same essence like the last virus...]

"Yes my prince, was this lowly one not supposed to see it?"

\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\

Ch4

"Just, just stay right there Shadow." Trinka stuttered as he looked the other way and started to think.

What happened? He said to Banana.

[This virus might not be bad, maybe even his presence is affecting the world in a positive way, I'm not sure, I'll have to run a diagnostics... SCANNING...

SCANNING FAILED]

[I'm not too sure what happened there, we just better hope he isn't anything bad. Although there's some odd disturbances when he had grabbed hold of you, try not to make contact with him, not until Banana figures out what will happen!] Banana hummed as he was in his own little world fixing and trying to scan potential viruses.

"Prince Trinka, is everything alright?"

"Yes, just don't touch me again." Trinka said as he turned towards the tall young man and stepped away.

"Of course my prince." Shadow said as he suddenly disappeared.

With a settled breath Trinka walked back to camp. He entered his tent the same way he left and fell asleep, unknown to him that a pair of eyes were watching him even more closely.

The travel had lasted for a good month, throughout the month Trinka had steared clear of Tiaka. His ideas won't be needed until they arrived at their main camp where they'll strategize how to attack. Of course this will fail even with his help because even before they can attack they had been ambushed in the middle of the night, causing the princess to be presumed dead when she had fallen into the river.

And today's the day, the day or more like night where they'll get ambushed, the river in about a mile away where the battle will eventually rotate towards. Currently he was inside the tent with his sister and two wise elders who used to be very high stationed knights in the kingdom when they were younger. They talked among themselves not even paying the little prince any mind.

As they talked Trinka looked over towards the plans and shook his head in disappointment

"My prince, is something not to your liking?" One of the elders spoke with a raised brow, he had heard the King talk with high regards about his young son, yet he didn't believe it.

"This strategy is entirely wrong." He spoke quietly, but his voice never faultered. "If you split the group once more towards the front then our casualties will rise more than nessecary. It's best if we don't split at all, instead surrounded the entire camp, keep the archers high up in the trees and out of view, the stealthy men scout the place and when everything looks good head in with the tankers and then the rest of the team, otherwise the entire plan will go against us and we'll have more blood on our hands than usual. Do we know where their weaponry hut it located, if so we should aim for that place first, keep them from grabbing anymore excess firearms and then drown them out with the gas grenades we have in stock."

As Trinka rambled on and on about the different ways to have a successful attack without almost no death the two elders looked on with shocked eyes. What he suggested were simple changes yet they would have a huge impact on future battles. No wonder the King was smiling as the prince left he was a big asset to the war than any other person, better than the princess and her immense strength.

The princess was beautiful no less but the way she carried herself made people respect her yet there was something off that a man wouldn't go near. Maybe it might have been the fact that no man was stronger than her. And she had sworn that a man would marry her if he was of equal strength or stronger than her. So far all the men that battled agaisnt her failed miserably. But the men were also respected for being brave enough to try.

As the elders praised the young prince they hadn't noticed the blood lust and rage coming off of the princess. She was supposed to have all the limelight when it came to war, not her weakling and poor excuse of a brother. Yet miraculously he had become great back at the kigdom for his beauty and now a genius in the war... What the hell is that supposed to mean for her?

Less of a chance to get the throne is what it means.

And she wouldn't have that.

She can't...

It would be a shame if something happened during the ambush.

An explosion errupted at the far west of the main camp. The elders looked alert and Tiaka left to give orders to others.

Trinka could have turned the tables of this ambush seeing as he had knowledge of it from the start and a strategic mind from reading books of the past. But he didn't, he needed to keep to his plan, and if he was right then Tiaka would be the one to 'accidentaly' push him to safety, but if not then he chose to go out a somewhat hero and grab her before falling, whichever came first.

"Get to it! Help the west, You, make sure those firearms are ready and loaded, distribute them throughout the camp, hurry!" The princess shouted order after order yet they were overwhelmed and unprepared for the sudden attack.

The camp, as predicted the fighting began to head towards the river and once there the prince was hidding along the shrubs heeding the advice of the King to stay out of the way and out of sight. He looked to the side to see Shadow fighting swiftly and easily, it looked as if he was swating flies instead of fighting, he didn't even look out of breath as he cut down enemies with a single sword and shot occasionally behind him, hitting the target in the head all the time.

Trinka could see it now, the scene which unfolded the story even more, the princess was being pushed back against the river as three men came at her, she had wounds here and there and was about to use something to blind her attackers but was stabbed through the shoulder and about to fall into the river, yet before she could fall prince Trinka came forward and pushed the unsuspecting men into the rushing river while grasping his sister's hand. With the momentum of the heavy armor she wore he swung himself to her position while she was now flung towards the ground and the prince hurled into the river sweaping him away as the battle began to end with the great help of Shadow. Tiaka saw this with wide eyes, her shock turned into a crazed smile as she felt accomplishment course through her entire body.

Shadow turned just in time as he saw Trinka fall into the river, his entire body became cold as his heart dropped.

Trinka. He spoke his name in his heart as he saw the prince dissapear into the current.

Trinka hadn't blacked out, he was actually swiming along the current, which made him faster than going against the current. He would go up into the surface and gulp a ball of air before going back into the water.

How long before arriving towards the place the princess was seen? Trinka thought as he saw slight blurry figures of fish swimming with him, looking at him as if he was an odd looking fish.

[Not long, you should start floating from here, there's no debries around to hit your head or anything and anyone dangerous. Relax host and float with the river.]

Going up towards the surface Trinka did as told as he relaxed his body and floated onward, his eyes closed as he found himself falling asleep to the sound of the muddled noise he barely heard with the help of the water covering his ears.

Ch5

A man coughed up blood, staining his military and royal armor that were slightly broken and ripped. His commonly seen tied up neat black and red hair became wild and unkept from the constant movement and sweat he had gone through previously. His face was contorted into a painful look as strands of hair loosly hung to the side of his face. A scar was carved onto his left eye, going over his brow and stopping right on his cheekbone.

He looked like he was about to pass out from blood loss as his crystal blue eyes seemed glossed over.

Trinka stood at a distance, he had woken up from getting caught on a branch, hauling himself up he wondered around like Tiaka did when she woke up.

Trinka walked forward, showing a timid image at the man who now thinks he's hallucinating, seeing as he's loosing a lot of blood and the pain is starting to numb. There's also the angelic looks that Trinka has to take into account.

"Dont worry, I'll patch you up." Trinka said as his hands reach forward just in time for Narron to pass out.

"Well... What now? I'm not very skilled in medical treatment, Banana?" Trinka said as he layed down Narron onto the soft green grass and opened up his clothes, with great effort may he say since the armor was quite heavy.

[Your soul is strong enough to learn beginner medicine, the only downfall is the time you take to learn it, you'll have to leave the world for a while and that would probably kill the Male Lead.] Banana pondered. [With 300 SP you can buy a health potion if you'd want, he'll swallow it and it will have effect when he swallows it.]

"Alright, I'll buy a health potion." Trinka nodded as he looked a little worried at the human before him growing paler and paler by the minute.

[Thank you for shopping, please buy in the future again host!] Banana said with a cheerful tone.

Trinka held out a hand and a small veil landed on his palm. It glowed a vibrant red, with the help of his other hand he opened Narron's mouth and struggled to keep the potion from spilling.

With an irritated look he gave a small smile, he poured the entire bottle into his mouth and clampted it shut while he squezzed his nose shut, with the lack of oxygen he'll most likely gasp and try to get air.

And that's what had happened, though Narron chocked horribly in return he slumped back onto the ground with a groan as he fell into a restful sleep as his wounds visibly healed.

[Why didn't you just give it to him through mouth to mouth?] Banana spoke up with curiosity.

"..." Trinka didn't say anything, his face was emotionless as he turned a different direction, face slightly flushed.

[You didn't think of that did you?] Banana said with a sigh at the embarrased look of his host.

It was the only reasonable solution since Trinka didn't know anything about intimacy between two humans at all, not even what a kiss was, he had seen his master's parents touch lips before, but he had thought it was a kind of greeting in that world. Even right now the thought of touching someone would make him feel odd and uncomfortable. He didn't want to risk "getting something" as the first world had informed him, or more likely the person who told him had scarred him for many lifetimes.

Steven.

At one of the meetings in the cafe he had told him about human contact, going on and on about a common cold and a very horrible virus that had gone through the city before he had moved in with them. After that day he made it his mission to stay away from human contact as much as possible.

Even now, he wore leather gloves which were made from the best tailors in the kingdom. He even looked down at Narron as a walking disease, when his father had given him a kiss on the cheek he had stiffened lightly and gave a light bow as he entered the carriage, then bought a magical handkerchief to wipe away anything foreign off of his skin.

With a shiver of the kiss he had looked back to Narron who lay uncomfortable on the green grass.

Nevermind him, I should find food for myself. Trinka thought as he left the Male Lead dangerously vulnerable to wild animals.

He wondered around the woods and spotted many barries, when he was about to touch one he saw a flash from the corner of his eye. He let whatever it was that was the flash to do what it pleases since the odd attack wasn't aimed for him. With a fake shocked look he saw the berry bush fall to the floor as it was cut down.

"Its poisonous my prince." An enchanting voice sounded from behind him, that was when he was truly shocked as he didn't even hear the man that was given to him for his protection.

"Shadow?" Trinka spoke as he looked back and stumbled slightly to get away from the entiely black clothed assassin guard, making sure no accidental touching were to occur.

"Sorry this servant took so long, I would have come faster if it wasn't for the princess." Shadow bowed as he felt relief course through his body.

He had been searching the entire day for the prince, he felt like he had lost something so precious that if he didn't find proof of his prince he knew sonehow that he would slaughter the entire kingdom of the God's.

"Let us go, it's a long way towards the Kingdom, King Trinnoe should be devistated to hear of your highness' death."

"My death?" Trinka tilted his head cutely, not knowing the immense affect it had on the man who was trying to control himself.

"Yes, princess Tiaka had declared your death the moment your highness had been taken by the river, not even attempting to find his highness' body as proof, immediately the princess had sent word to the prince."

That whore. Blinking at such harsh words he looked to the side at the way he spoke in his kind. I guess of what's left of my soul is merging with the personality that I lack. Never knew that I lacked harsh words.

"My Prince we should head on now."

"No need." Trinka shook his head as his acting skills came naturally with tears in his eyes. "Sister never liked me in the first place. Why does she hate me so much? I try to be nice yet she only keeps bullying me, how useless and dissapointing I am, it's best for me to stay dead."

"My prince..." Shadow seemed shocked as such a depressing and selfloathing Trinka expressed, wishing that he could go back to the princess and rip her throat out. "Why not show-"

"No use Shadow, I'll be by the river, could you find me some food? I'm quite hungry." With a bow Shadow flickered away to hunt something down, at the same time sending a messenger bird to the King to notify about their location, not missing a single thing about the true relationship about his children and mainly about the harsh treatment of the princess.

Narron felt amazing, even more amazing before the spear had stabbed right through him. He hadn't felt so healthy in his entire life, he opened his eyes to see the flowing leaf branches dancing against the wind.

He sat up and smelled the fresh air and then suddenly everything hit him at the same time.

What happened?

Who saved him?

Looking down to where his wound is supposed to be he saw a faint almost unnoticeable scar, he looked confused and traced his fingers over the faint discolored tissue and was snapped out of his daydreaming when he heard someone coming his way. He readied his stance but lowered it when he saw someone he had been hallucinating.

"Brother?" He hesitated.

Ch6

"I'm sorry?" Trinka raised a gentle brow as he tilted his head.

Narron shook his head, there was a very high resemblance to his deseased older brother. Yet the usual light blond hair that was always cut short to his shoulders were long and luxurious with a silver tone color. When they were small he had looked up to him, but even if it was years ago he could still see him clear as day in his mind. How he missed his brother dearly even to this day. It was a shame that he had passed away by the deadly plague.

"No, I'm sorry, I had thought you looked like someone." Narron said as he sighed.

Banana? Trinka questioned in his mind.

[Long ago before the story actually took hold of the plot the Male Lead wasn't the actual Male Lead, it was his older brother Nibian. Sadly he had died when visiting a location near the ocean tide town and caught the plague when he was trying to find a solution for the many deaths, in the end once his death was confirmed the entire town was eliminated with the grief and rage of King Liyala] Banana explained.

"I see." Trinka spoke as a small smile etched itself onto his soft pink lips. "My name is Trinka, how do you feel?"

"How rude of me, my name is Pri- Narron, just Narron." Narron caught himself before speaking his title, the title he was so used to saying. "I feel terrific, were you the one that saved me?"

"Yes, I was swept away by the river and split from my camp, if you don't mind me being curious, but could you tell me where you obtained such a gruesome injury? If it were anyone else but me I wouldn't believe you would survive such a wound."

"I was ambushed by bandits, my carriage was destroyed and I barely escaped." He gave a lie mixed with a little truth to it, but Trinka wouldn't point it out since either way it wasn't his buisness.

"Well what to do know? A lost boy and a merchant out in the woods without any backup." Trinka chuckled.

"Who are you?!" Narron suddenly shouted as he went to grab his hidden dagger but found nothing.

Turning around Trinka saw Shadow with a small sack to his waist and a wild pig on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, this is my guard he's harmless unless you try anything against me." Trinka stepped infront of Shadow as reassurance. "And sorry for taking this, I wasn't sure if you would try anything rash when you woke up." Trinka took out the very lovely decorated dagger from out of his sleeve.

He wore a sort of Yukata during this trip since he wasn't expected to fight or defend himself. Which made him look like a noble's kid instead of a prince. The King didn't want any attention to be directed towards him and suspected as the prince to gain an upper hand so instructed his son to wear something less royal looking.

"If you don't mind it rude can I ask as well where you were at before coming here?" Narron spoke as he sat down but not taking his eyes off of the so called guard that was gutting and preparing the pig.

"I..." Trinka clicked on his emotions as a small embarrased look erupted on his face. "My sister is in the war and I sunk into the carriage to stop her from doing anything rash, but the camp was ambushed and I saved her from being pushed into the river, next thing I new I was replacing her as I fell instead. I need to get back to her, I don't wish for her to get hurt, it's all my fault she's in this war, if it wasn't for my lack of fighting experience I would be the one to fight... Im useless." Trinka said as he hung his head and trembled, small tears emerging from the corners of his eyes.

"We'll get you back, I'll help you get back home-"

"No, I need to get back to my sister, I won't go back unless I have my sister with me!" Acting as the stubborn and protective younger brother Trinka denied going back to the kingdom, as well as exposing which kingdom he was alligned with, avoiding getting his head cut off.

"Alright alright." With a sigh Narron felt that he wasn't going to convince this teenager any further and left it at that. "Currently if I have any knowledge about the war, there will be pushing through in a month. So the fight will be at the center of no man's land."

"I don't think so." Trinka shook his head as he thought about the information Shadow had given him.

If the King has already given information about his death then that means the war will be advanced to probably a week.

"How is that, how do you know?"

"I snuk into their tent, there was an accident, and the King of humans has been really enraged, the war will proceed in a week time."

"I see." Not believing too much he pondered what he was hearing, but eitherway he didn't question how he got the information as they looked to see shadow preparing a nice grass plate for Trinka, a chunk of nice succulent meat and a side of fruit sat on the plate.

Trinka looked up at Shadow and smiled tenderly, showing his true emotions as he thanked Shadow.

"Thank you."

Shadow's hand who was holding the plate began to tremble, it felt like something was trying to take over and pounce on the prince and do sinful things on his beautiful flawless milky white skin.

Restraining himself he gave a stiff nodd and walked to the side, keeping an intense gaze at the prince. Trinka could tell he felt the gaze at the back of his head and trailing all over his body because of his high senses.

"Come and eat Narron, when I poured that tonic down your throat it had to use some energy, which would probably already be replace with new energy resulting in an empty tummy." Trinka said as he motioned towards the pig.

"Thank you Trinka." Narron said, warmth inside his heart as he felt that same feeling when with his brother.

He decided then and there that he'll protect this little boy with his life, he was like his older brother, but this time since the God's have given him a second chance he'll be the big brother.

I won't let anyone hurt my little brother. Narron declared in his mind as he took a bite off of the pig's thigh.

"Will you not eat Shadow?" Trinka questioned as Narron began thinking and making promises without his consent.

He turned to see the guard just sitting on the floor crossed legged. Shadow's head was already turned towards his direction, but they were settled by the tilt of his helmet on Trinka's arms. He shook his head and bowed politely.

That's not what I like to eat right now. He thought with a small inaudable frusturated sigh.

"Alright, you should get some rest, I haven't seen you sleeping."

"I rest when necessary my pri-"

Before finishing the sentence Trinka bolted and covered his mouth with his sleeve, not a single skin contact at all which frusturated Shadow to no end.

"No titles, you can use others but none of royalty." Trinka whispered as he turned around. "This man is someone that shouldn't find out about which side we're on, understand?"

Shadow raised his hand slowly as he nodded about to grab his prince's wrist when Trinka pulled away too quickly for his liking.

"No touching." Trinka reminded.

With a covered pout that no one could see Shadow turned towards the setting sun.

Night and day passed by blissfully and the last night arrived as they neared no man's land. During the travel both Narron and Trinka had become close friends, Narron spoke of his adventures outside the kigdom and told Trinka about his deseased older brother. He had even forced Trinka into a blood bond which made them brother's for life. Trinka didn't mind it at all, it even gave him a one up to his survival.

At one point they had even let out their so called secret.

That they were princes'.

Although it was Narron that spilled first since their so called brother bond was established and the bond clearly states that no secrets must be kept from eachother, Trinka would have kept it until his grave if he could since he had no shame to begin with.

"I haven't been honest with you little brother." Narron began one afternoon as they walked through the forest. "My name is truly Prince Narron Lialy of The Lialy kingdom or mostly known as the god kingdom."

"I know." Trinka said with a smile.

"You know?" Narron said with wide eyes. "Why didn't you say anything?"

"Why does it matter? Where both regular men, although from different kingdoms. And princes to different kingdoms." Trinka grinned sheepishly. "I'm Prince Trinka Toery, prince of Toery Kingdom, it wasn't hard to figure out, your armor is nothing like that of a merchant and that fancy dagger screams of nothing but a prince's gift from a King or Queen."

"It seems I've been very careless." He said with a tired sigh.

"Do you... Hate me now?" Trinka said with his head bow.

"Hate you, why should I hate you?" Narron spoke with surprise.

"Because I am the son of the rivaling kingdoms King."

"Im actually glad for this, if it wasn't for this I would have to stay in war for a long time. I can use out brother bond to cease this ridiculous war and unite the kingdoms." Narron suddenly stood up at the marvelous idea, which caused amazement in Trinka.

He doesn't hate him for lying.

In return for all the many wonderful stories that Narron spoke he told his own. How he looked up to his beautiful and strong sister, how amazing she was and how he did everything in his ability to get her many things. But this wasn't what he needed, he needed her to be figured out. So in return for his mission he had accidentally let one of his sleeves roll up to reveal the fading bruises. Which didn't settled well towards the vows and oaths that Narron has been commited to. He demanded who had hurt him which to his delight Trinka wasn't stubborn about it and told him about his older sister would beat him for being a bad little brother.

"What do you mean a bad little brother? What did you do?" Narron asked as he tried to pry answered from Trinka.

"I had accidentaly spilled tea on the floor in her room ome time." Trinka smiled sadly. "But not to worry, I've gotten my lecture and well deserved it."

With the small sad smile Narron made another vow. A vow where he'll kill this sister of Trinka, it wasn't like she was one of the lucky one's who survived the war. He would simoly go to the battlefield while Trinka stayed covered in the trees and return with the sad news that she was surrounded and killed in battle.

Although Trinka spoke about her in a bright tone even when she did those things, Narron's anger didn't compare to the one that was always silent and kept his distance.

Shadow was beyond furious, his heart was completely taken over by his little prince and was planning to figure out why he wouldn't let him touch him. With that anger it grew when hearing about the princess- no, when hearing about that useless piece of trash hurting his Trinka he had made his own vow. He would get to her before anyone else and hide her, she'll be presumed dead among the many bodies and when everything has settled he'll torture her until she wished to be killed, and when the time comes he'll hire many men to do unholy things to her until she breaks mentaly and emotionally. By the time she's an empty shell he'll release her into the world, keeping an eye on her as her heart gets mend by a man slowly and when she feels at peace he'll do it all over again.

Now that is true evil.

That is someone who will become evil instead of a hero for his special someone.

Although the nights went by it was the last night that took a turn for the better... For Shadow that is.

It was the last night that Trinka had sneeked away from Narron to follow something.

The third shard.

Like usual Shadow had kept his distance but not too far unless those odd crystals do damadge. Before Trinka could grab hold of it Shadow grabbed it instead.

"Sh-shadow!" Trinka looked on with panic and dread.

"What is this my prince, please tell me, I feel you are doing something to endanger yourself." He spoke, he didn't know when he used 'I' nstead of 'this lowly one' or 'servant', not even Trinka noticed it.

"It's, it's... Just be careful, don't drop it." Trinka said as his eyes began to water. "That's me."

"You?" Shadow was confused now and he looked down at the floating shard on his palm.

"Yes, my... My soul." Trinka said as he walked over. "Well... A piece of it."

Without thinking he used one hand as it hovered over the shard while the other went under Shadow's hand, his usual gloved armor was hanging on his belt, incase they got dirty when cooking and didn't want to go through the pain of finding a waterhole and cleaning it, he also didn't trust that Narron guy alone for too long with Trinka.

They touched hands.

Suddenly the shard shined again.

Too preoccupied with the beautiful shining soul shard the hand both right one of Trinka and the left one of Shadow were glowing too, a beautiful strand of red emerged out of nowhere and tied itself on their ring fingers, it went through their hand and settled deep into their hearts and once settled it went to their souls, both turning a vibrant hot pink.

A bond so strong that can never broken has now been sealed.

While they couldn't see Shadow's, they saw Trinka's turn hot pink right before their eyes.

Banana kept an intense gaze directed towards the scene, pondering what will happen. Yet he hadn't expected such a marvelous scene, nothing like this has ever happened in the system history books.

Gently Trinka reached forward and grabbed hold of the shard bringing it to his chest as it merged slowly, taking its time.

Once the light finally faded they stayed there under the moonlit forest and simply stared at eachother. One unable to see the other's face while the other looked freely at the Golden beautiful eyes as much as he pleased.

"L-lets get going, I'm t-tired." Trinka began with a clear to his throat as he stuttered, his face a hot red.

They both left, although Trinka walked alone and tense, Shadow wasn't far away, he was hidding, and hidding he did when he smiled for the first time in his entire miserable life. This moment was what he waited for, for this person to finally appear before him and love him as much as he did.

Morning arrived too fast for the sleepless Trinka as he heard a yawn from his sword brother.

"Brother, good morning." Trinka greeted.

"Goodmorning little brother, did you not sleep?" Narron said as he looked at the dark bags under Trinka's eyes, even so his beauty didn't diminish, in fact it oddly boosted as it gave him a cute sleepy look.

"No, I felt restless for big sister." Trinka said with a smile, knowing that when he brought Tiaka up it sent Narron into a bad mood and begins his mumbling and cursing under his breath, but with Trinka's hightened hearing he heared clearly.

"Sly little bunny." With the heightened hearing he heard Shadow speak under his breath as well.

Causing his face to become red as he remembered last night. He had realized that he touched Shadow's bare hand, nothing happened from what he could remember. Only a warm feeling when they touched.

"We should get going if we want to make it on time." Narron said as he cleaned and readied his armor.

"Ye-yes." Trinka said with a blushed face as he dusted his yukata and fixed his silver hair into a high bun.

From the back Shadow kept a smirk on his lips.

Ch8

They had arrived, just as the two Kings walked forward. One was calm and the other leaked rage across no man's land.

It was his father that was enraged, he looked crazed his hair tassled and his crown slightly out of place.

They had come just in time to hear the last bits of the conversation before everything went down to flames.

"You'll pay for the death of my son!"

"Attack!" The King of Gods shouted as they walked back slowly while their men charged forward with battle screams and swords high into the sky with shields at the ready.

Before anyone could get hurt a shout was heard over all the voices, a shout filled with promise and peace, but also danger and threat.

"Enough!" Narron spoke, with his chest puffed out as he covered the sight of his little brother.

"Narron? I thought you had fallen as well." Narron's father spoke from the crowd, everyone made way for the King of the south.

"I had thought that as well, if it wasn't for my new blood brother I would have been dead a week ago rotting under a tree." Narron explained as he moved to the side to show a delicate little teenage boy that looked thirteen yet was actually seventeen.

"Trinka!" A desperate voice sounded from the other side of the crowd and the King of the north came barging through and pushing people aside.

He walked forward as he fell to his knees, initiating shock and amazement throughout everyone in the crowd, no one had ever seen a King bow to anyone, not even to the queen, yet this King did, which showed how much he favored this son of his.

"I had thought I lost you, I was going to sacrifice everything to avenge your death." The King said as he rambled under his breath and looked over his son.

"I'm fine daddy, it was just a small understanding." Trinka giggled innocently.

Small?

Everyone wanted to spit out blood for such an understatement, they were going to war a whole three weeks ahead if it wasn't for the death of this small and adorable prince, and now that they seen the prince with their own eyes they would kill for his sake as well. Who would want to kill off such an adorable little bunny in the first place?

"So you're saying that his son saved you?" The King of the south pondered as he looked over the little boy. "You made a blood bond with him?"

"Yes, he looks like him doesn't he?" Narron spoke with a nod as his father and his own gaze went towards the small teenage boy patting his sobbing and delirious father's head.

"Indeed, quite frightening even, if it wasn't for his silver hair I would have thought that his death was faked and that the other side had taken him." The King spoke with a nostalgic look towards the boy who was now pushing his father away, a look of a germaphobe finally surpassing his limit.

"It seemed that our love for our sons has blinded us for the worst, let us instead create a truce and align each other instead." The south King spoke breaking the odd bond of father and son before him.

The north King cleared his throat now realizing his actions and stood up, dusting off any dirt and grass that was on his armor robes. "Yes it seems so."

"So be it, from this day forth we shall unite these two kingdoms and blood brothers from the oath that my son deemed worthy upon this young man before me. We shall distribute our goods and metals and make a better day to this horrible war that has been going on for far too long!" The south King proclaimed and both sides cheered.

"Now that I see that my son is fine and safe, I would like to announce him as the crown prince." The King of the north declared and everyone rejoiced in happiness once more.

"Why didn't you die?" A soft voice sounded from the inside of the crowd. "You should have died, you should have kept hidden until my corination... YOU SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN BORN FROM THE BEGINNING!!"

Everyone quieted down as they all turned to the disheveled princess and supposed queen, they saw a flash of metal and blonde as the disgraceful princess charged forward. Shadow came and went for the kill but was stopped by the princess' followers and fought him from all sides.

The princess rose her sword and struck at her father who had taken out his own sword, but she was too fast and strong with the help of pure rage. Their swords clashed together and the King stumbled back.

Everyone held their breaths as she raised her sword once more, Narron was too far to block, but that didn't stop him from charging forth and preventing as little damadge as possible.

But something happened, something that none would have predicted or believed if they hadn't seen it with their own eyes.

The Prince acted out by himself.

He took out a black blade, a blade entirely made of the special metal that their armor was made of. With a blink of an eye they had seen the young Prince dissapear and reappear behind the princess, shocking her as well, unable to react on time.

His eyes were dead now, nothing like his usual bright and soft ones. They had a feral feeling to it, almost animalistic as he used the dagger and stabbed it right through Tiaka's wrist, severing every nerve from her arm and making her completely lose feeling as her sword fell to the floor. Trinka's face was splashed with blood from the deep and horrific gash, his clean yukata wasn't spared either as he dropped her to the floor screaming and crying from the wound.

Trinka stood there his eyes empty as his hand and dagger were covered in blood, he was trembling as he saw her flailing on the ground while men arrested her and dragged her away and treated the wound that seemed like it would never stop bleeding.

"Trinka." Shadow spoke slowly as he walked forward to his Prince, his voice a soothing deep tone. "You're ok, no one will ever hurt you again, She's gone now, she'll have to pay for the crimes she has commited." He tried to reassure.

He went to grab hold of the dagger but he too didn't see Trinka's movements as he disappeared again and tried to cut at Shadow. But seeing as Shadow doesn't underestimate even the smallest of children he didn't underestimate his love as he dodge on time before his throat could be cut. He grabbed hold of both of Trinka's wrists and disarmed him as he crashed their bodies together and letting the small teen to flair and growl in anger and fear.

"It's alright now, I won't let anyone hurt you ever again." Shadow reassured as he ran his ungloved hand through the soft silver hair while his other hand was secured around Trinka's waist. "No one, I'll make sure of it."

Trinka gasped and panted as he tried to calm himself, his ear picked up the soothing deep voice that whispered into his ears, telling him that he'll be there for him. He didn't know why, if it was someone else he wouldn't have been able to believed it and simply nodded to get the person to leave him alone, yet when this teenager that was older than him by a year said it to make him relax he wished to lay in his arms forever.

But he was scared, he didn't want to rely on someone else, he didn't want to wait for someone to save him, no one saved him in his original life, no one tried to save him, only took pity in his suffering but didn't actually try to save his lonely and abusing life.

He was tired, he wanted to let loose and relax for just a minute. But he didn't know how, he feared that someone would come and stab him or kick him until he wasn't able to move.

He didn't wish to trust anyone, but the man holding him so gently made him drift as he calmed down, his erratic breathing slowing down.

Ch9

Quickly the princess was apprehended by Shadow, his rage was beyond settled that she actually dared move against Tiaka. Everyone was mad, both kingdoms ten times over, not to mention the south kingdom since that cute little prince had saved their prince and future King, if it hadn't been for him the south kingdom would crumble since their queen isn't able to give birth to anymore children.

"I see you kept the dagger I had gifted to you when you were seven." The King of the North spoke with a smile as he gazed at the already calm Trinka.

Trinka was just noticing what had happened and pulled away from Shadow, his face flushed in embarrasement, yet oddly enough he didn't feel the urge to sanitize his clothes and body. Either way he was going to do so when he had the first opportunity.

"Yes, I couldn't bring myself to part with it since it's the only successful weapon and you had given to me." Trinka said grateful that the King hadn't spoken about the incident.

"I'm sorry about that poor excuse of a sister." He suddenly began, guilt surfacing through his throat making it clench in sadness. "I should have been more observant in your upbringing, ever since your mother passed away she sort of changed, I had thought it was probably her own way of grieving and left her be. I should have done something sooner." His father said as he ruffled his son's hair.

"How did you find out?" Trinka said quietly, he was sure that the King would have done something to explain her crazed behavior, maybe accusing someone of poisoning her to act in such a disgusting way.

"Shadow, had been sending everything you say to me for the past week, I only needed to pretend to have my heart shattered yet even pretending that you were dead made my heart ache. Once the first letter had arrived I quickly comfronted her, she denied it for the most part, but when she tried to poison me and change my will of making you future King, that was when I knew everything was true. I should have noticed sooner, you wouldn't have gone through all that pain if it hadn't been for my lack of attention."

"It's fine daddy, I had resented you when she had left my room one night a long time ago, but I quickly left the idea, it wasn't your fault for not paying attention with all the meeting and decrees that you have to give out throughout the day." Trinka said as he fumbled and twirled a strand of loose silver hair around his pale fingers. "It was mine, I'm so weak that I couldn't defend myself."

"That's not true Prince Trinka." The south King came forth with a smile filled with pity, making Trinka wish he wasn't here, that was the last thing he wanted to see from humans. "You are strong, stronger than most who fought and trained in the war. If you were weak then my men are like maggots compared to you."

"I do not understand." Trinka said now truly confused.

"You are indeed strong little brother, to have gone through all of that and still have the ability to stand with your head held high is a remarkable thing." Narron said with a gentle smile, pride in his eyes.

Trinka looked around and into the eyes of the people around, the look that they had in their eyes wasn't pity as he had thought, it was gratification.

They were glad that he had survived through such cruelty, if not where would they be now?

Probably fighting and schemeing against one another as they to one up the other.

"So how about this treaty?" North king said as he looked at the south king. "Where shall we hold this said treaty?"

"Well.." The north king looked around the huge clearing. "This no man's land is very spacious, we should build a place to which we could meet monthly and discuss about our troubles and how to strengthen our countries. "And maybe in the future if your son has a daughter or son and my son has a daughter or son we could marry them and join the two Empires together." The king said with a satisfied look as he though deeply about grandchildren soon, but was snapped out when the hand of his son landed on his shoulder. "Of course if their children approve of the marriage."

"How about it brother?" Narron smiled delightfully. "We can be true brothers through marrying our children."

"I'm not... I'm not sure if I will be able to bare children." Trinka said with a frown.

"Son, you won't be the one baring children your wife will." North king said with a chuckle.

"I need a wife?"

At that pondering question everyone froze.

He's too innocent.

Everyone has fire in their eyes another annoying vow was made without anyone's knowledge; they shall protect this cute little prince's innocence until time came.

After everyone bid farewell the beautiful building that was agreed upon was soon set in motion to be built. It had towers and floors that held many kinds of items for the princes and princesses that will come in the future. Once finished building the treaty was done and settled, the kingdoms lived in harmony, true to his word Shadow kept his vow, and while everyone was distracted Shadow grabbed Tiaka from her Royal cell and she was never seen again.

Trinka was crowned King after the previous king died of an incurable disease. Both kingdoms mourned at the loss of their king but soon rejoiced at their new king. Everyone celebrated for three days until they couldn't celebrate anymore because of aching feet and the inability to stay awake.

Trinka wore his majestic crown on his beautiful head, a warm smile on his pink lips as the Royals held the annual ball. Many children danced and laughed as they gave greeting to the king and gave gifts as well. Council men would sometimes come up and speak to the king about the one thing they all worry about.

Children.

He was still innocent when it came with such tasks, or so they thought. Trinka simply didn't want to have to touch anyone.

He waved them away and ordered them to enjoy themselves while the ball was in motion. Reluctantly they did as ordered and left the lonesome king alone. The current king should be around thirty five years old. Even with such an age he still looked as beautiful as before, yet held a more mature and delicate look, it was the image of a majestic being that held beauty and handsomeness in his features.

Beside him was his guard, Shadow stood beside him, his shoulder leaning against the throne in a sluggish manner, yet his attention was on high alert in these kind of events.

"I'm tired, end the ball, inform them that it will continue as always tomorrow." Trinka ordered to a knight nearby as he stood up and left, Shadow close behind.

The ball was held for three nights, it was filled with dancers and music and many exotic foods, anyone could attend, both poor and the rich. Throughout the years the people in the kingdom had risen, the poverty was nowhere to be seen and everyone lived in harmony.

With a tired sigh Trinka ordered for Shadow to take the night off.

"Who shall protect you if something were to happen?" Shadow reasoned.

"There are four Royal Knights stationed outside my chamber, no one in their right mind would so such a thing. Go now, I'll call if I need you." Trinka said as he yawned.

Sighing he nodded as he slowly left the room, ordering and glaring at the knights that if something were to happen to the king it would be them that would go missing next, just like the princess.

Trinka lay on his back and a ding sounded in his head.

[Soul shard detected; three feet away.]

Rising with a surprised look he looked around.

This used to be his father's room, and the many kings before him. Yet he didn't know why the shard had showed itself until now when he had been king for three years.

Slipping on his soft slippers he walked around and arrived at the spot where the number had called zero, he was at the center of the room.

He looked around, did something happen?

An idea crossed as he looked down to the carpet covered wooden floors. He reached down and flung the carpet up and over itself as the barefloor board showed.

He placed his hand ontop of the boards but felt nothing out of place, he suddenly pressed down at a certain one and it popped up. With a surprised and impressed look he opened it up to find a hidden compartment. It was probably his father's seeing as the small compartment was filled with little spider webs, which gave the spiders enough time to make their homes when the king had passed away and even before that since his father was bed ridden.

He saw it was slightly deep since the room was dark and the only illumination was the moon shining through the wide widow and he couldn't see the bottom. He reached down and left around until his finger bumped into the bottom, or at least he though it was the bottom as it was flat, he caressed around and felt the edges had a gap.

Slipping his fingers around he grabbed hold and pulled out what he revealed to see a small red velvet colored box. Flipping the hatch open he opened the box to find the shard there, although it wasn't shining at all.

How his father got a hold to a piece of his soul was beyond his knowledge, it was covered with dust so he blew at it.

This single gentle breath made the shard slightly illuminate then burst into a bright light which caused him to hiss in irritation at his poor eyes.

Adjusting his eyes he saw the shard that had been laying at the bottom of the small box was now upright and shining brightly. Grabbing it he merged it into his body and let a sigh of relief escape his ever pink lips.

[All shards gathered.]

Ch10

Trinka woke with the moon faintly meeting his eyes, seeing as the sun hadn't even emerge he presummed that it was early morning. Which meant Shadow should be at his room.

He suddenly got an idea.

With a small smile he got up and changed.

Throughout the years being the king and a son he had taken into account the small things in this life. Shadow had become like a close friend. A feeling of adrenaline went through his body.

It felt like when his master would finally come home from school before the whole accident happen. The joy and eagerness to play with his master, it felt like this feeling as well, but it was slightly different now that he noticed.

Something odd was also there yet he couldn't quite pinpoint it. No matter, he shrugged his shoulders and opened the door startling the four Knights in the process.

"Your Highness." The four bowed in respect. "Shadow hasn't arrived yet, shall we send for him?"

"No need, I don't want to bother him for now." Trinka said as he shook his head.

He left the Royal Knights dismissing them in the process. When the Knights weren't around anymore Trinka gave a casual look behind him to make sure and then crouched down in a stealthy kind of way.

He sniffed around the air and caught the scent of Shadow, with a mischievous smile he sneaked around the castle halls, dodging the maids and butlers that were rising up in the morning to do morning cleaning. He soon arrived at the very end of the castle.

Trinka realized that he doesn't know where Shadow sleeps, it looked exactly like the rooms of the maids yet it was under, Shadow's room was in the basement.

With a frown he made a note in his head to change the location, not even the maids were treated is such a poor way, four maids shared a room, that's how he decreed, and the room wasn't anything to pity them, it was a beautiful room with widows and the beds were soft to the touch. He thought that if the maids and butlers didn't get a proper sleep then they won't be able to work accordingly.

Now seeing as to the location of Shadow he'll send someone immediately to locate his room next to his own since shadow would usually worry about him all the time. He opened the door to Shadow's room and silently slipped in.

His nose was immediately invaded by the smell of Shadow. Throughout the times he had known Shadow, there was always this odd smell, it wasn't a foul one, nor was it a smell that someone would tolerate, it was a smell someone could drown in if they wished it. This smell is the only thing he looked forward when being a little too close to Shadow, and those moments were the times when Shadow dressed and undressed him in the mornings and nights. Or when he would lean over from the side of the throne to whisper into his ear about an official that has been doing some money laundering without his knowledge while that said official is trying to coax him to give more money that the people need for crops and materials.

Shadow was his info man, since it was "too dangerous", as Shadow would say, to go out side and talk to the people, it would be up to him and a handpicked team to gather intel about the people and their well being.

Smelling the scent right now and being surrounded in it made him warm...

Too warm.

He tried not to pay attention to the scent but couldn't, how could he if it was everywhere. His cheeks flushed as his body began to feel a little warm.

"Your Highness?" Shadow's voice sounded from a side of the room.

Startled he turned right away to see Shadow, well what he thought was Shadow seeing as the walking god who was shaving looked towards his direction.

Trinka sucked in a breath of air as he remembered the way he addressed him, that voice was the same voice that would call to him to be careful or to brush his teeth after every meal.

The outfit which Shadow always wore was laid out on the worn bed. Which had quickly snapped him from the scent and frowned as he looked around.

"I hadn't realized you were here, I'll leave seeing as you aren't dressed." Trinka quickly said as he walked out quickly and without a second look.

The one who was left behind let out and enchanting smirk as he felt his control breaking again.

This little king will be my down fall. He thought as sinful thoughts coursed through his mind.

Closing the door behind him he thought back at the body and then looked down at his own, he sighed.

How could he have such a drastic difference in bodies if they were a year apart. But then again they weren't brought up the same, while one was torture by their own sister another had gone through a mysterious upbringing where he trained to become strong and hold his own.

While here he was, having people take care of him and running a kingdom with the help of other's once in a while.

With a pout he covered his face with his palm and bent over as he bowed in apology to the people that surround him daily in his commute to being the best king he could be.

Just as he bowed to apologize for his behavior the door opened and Shadow was meet with a wonderful sight of his King bending over facing away from him, the view of the soft looking plump bum that was so close to his front pants made his blood run hotter and he stiffened.

Crack!

He could clearly hear his will breaking slowly inside of himself as he tried to steel himself, through gritted teeth he spoke slowly. "Your Highness."

With an adorable squeak of shock the King abruptly straightened as his head slammed against Shadow's helmet, making him hiss at the sharp pain, in return Shadow's head snapped back as well at the impact as he recovered quickly to check his King's head, forgetting his initial naughty thoughts.

"I'm fine, sorry let's get going." He said as Shadow came close to his personal space as the scent wafted towards his nose. "No touching!" He snapped as he panted in a panic.

Shadow frowned, he had thought Trinka's phobia of being touched would falter throughout the years being with him, at least dimmed down when it came to him. He didn't want anyone else to get close, yet he assumed wrong.

Even if his feelings were this strong Shadow knew his place. He was a slave to the throne, or at least he had deemed it so when working with the late King, now that he was placed with Trinka he felt for the first time as if he was soaring up high into the sky. This was love, he knew so, he hadn't been in love before but if he were to explain such complicated feelings that came up suddenly without warning then it could only be one thing.

Love.

Shadow loves Trinka, so much so that he wills himself to not break his composure when he sees Trinka smiling and chuckling at Narron and the old south Queen, Narron's mother. He wills himself to not tear Trinka away from the throne and run away together, because he knows that the kingdom will fall without Trinka, and because Trinka would end his trust with him the moment he kidnaps him.

That was the last thing he wanted.

So he settled watching from the distance.

Ding!

[Missions accomplished, would you like to leave for the next world host?]

Ch11

Years passed, there had been many occurrences where Trinka and Shadow would be too close, but now a days Trinka would be the one to pull back in alarm. Shadow's reaction was clearly surprise, his King never moved away from him in such a manner. And now his only moment where he could see Trinka's beauty up close was now taken from him. He was even slowly shunned from giving the King baths, the major moments he trained his will to calm down and meditate.

This will not due!

After the announcement that his presence wasn't needed into the world again Trinka decline to head back to his space. He wished to linger further into this life rather than moving on.

Why?

He wasn't so sure himself.

For one he was distancing himself from Shadow in a childishly manner.

Second he avoids him at all costs even though he knows that Shadow follows either way but keeps hidden.

Thirdly he can't even have the man near him because his chest suddenly goes out of control.

He stops suddenly when he was walking towards the library to read, Shadow hidden and always following saw this too and tilted his head in curiosity.

Trinka thought deeply, is this the reason why Banana told me not to have skin to skin contact?

Is the body I'm currently possessing being consumed without my knowledge?

His face paled at the thought, quickly he thought to Banana. I'd like to leave, but not abruptly, in a year where I can find a suitable heir to the throne, I need a pill which will cause a slow and painless death in a year.

[Yes host! It's only three hundred SP.] Banana spoke with a calculating tone as he got the pill.

Deal.

With the deal sealed the pill secretly slipped into his palm and as he pretended to cough he placed it into his mouth and swallowed it.

Now to find a woman, or at least a maid.

[Host, there shall be a banquet held for the annual festive season to celebrate the birth of the first queen to rule over the Toery Kingdom. Drink as much wine as possible and bed one of the many suitable women the council men would always bring, when the time comes, like last time, I shall take over and deal with the act.]

Thank you Banana. Trinka said yet he felt a sudden bitterness consume his heart, but he shrugged it off as the pill taking its effect.

The days and weeks passed as the birth celebration commenced at the center of the kingdom, logically the King would only show his presence once near the end and that would be it as the celebration continues for two days.

Trinka on the other hand didn't leave, much to Shadow's displeasure.

That displeasure soon turned to blood lust as he saw the women surrounding the King and giving him many provocative looks. But he didn't fret, his King had a thing for skin contact and wouldn't do such a grotesque act.

But much to his surprise he saw the King was flushed at the cheeks and smiled back with his own seductive smile as he guided a young unmarried las to the palace close by.

Shadow knew this would happen.

He knew.

..........

The kingdom rejoiced at the announcement of a beautiful baby girl. The future queen of Toery!

Sadly as time passed the loving father, husband, and King grew I'll one afternoon as he took morning council meeting, during this meeting he had coughed up tremendous amounts of blood. No doctors could do anything about it and with a worrying kingdom they were saddened when he had to go.

The Queen too was devastated, she was the luckiest woman to be chosen by this beautiful man. She weeped as she sat beside her husband's side in his bed watching his beautiful body wither slowly. She truly fell for this King, it was odd that he wouldn't make skin contact most of the time, but he claimed he cherished her as a sister and needed to have a successor. He apologized for not loving her, but in doing so she only fell for him more.

As she had left to grab medicine to ease his nonexistent pain Trinka opened his eyes slightly.

"Shadow." Trinka whispered as his eyes were half lidded.

"I'm here your Highness." Shadow emerged from the darkness and knelled to the floor, his head bowed as he wished not to see his King in such a state.

"Tell me..." Trinka said as he paused to swallow and moisten his dry mouth. "Why stay by my side all these years?"

Long ago when he had become King Trinka had given Shadow his papers and claimed that he was truly free now.

"I didn't want to leave your side." Shadow said cryptic.

"Why? What's so amazing about me that you needed to stay by my side." In a coughing fit more blood spewed out as Shadow helped him wipe off and drink a cup of water.

"Excuse my rude speech Trinka. I love you too much." He confessed.

"Love?" Trinka said, too weak to feel shock. "Why."

"The moment I had gotten to know you, or maybe even when I had first set eyes on you made me realize that I couldn't live without you, you're too beautiful to leave."

"I'm not beautiful now am I? Weak and nothing but bones."

"Nonsense Trinka, in fact my heart loves you even more that possible."

"Take off your helmet." Trinka ordered.

Without hesitation Shadow did as commanded, the same handsome face was revealed, he pulled down the black cloth covering his mouth as Trinka noticed the wetness on it.

He's crying.

"Im sorry." Shadow said, his voice slightly wavering.

"Don't cry, I should be the one apologizing, making you go through so much pain as you watched me sit beside little Thapa." He mentioned the Queen.

"I knew you didn't truly love her, more like a sister. Just like I knew that you truly didn't love anyone else, even less so when it came to yourself." Shadow pointed out.

"Shadow."

"Yes love?"

"I think I did like you, you were the only one that understood me." Trinka said, with much effort he raised a trembling hand as it went to caress Shadow's face, but he didn't have enough strength as it began to fall back down to the bed.

Before it did Shadow caught it and placed it on his cheek, his beautiful dark eyes turning red around as tears threatened to emerge.

"Truly?" Shadow said hope in his eyes.

"I'm uncertain, throughout all my life I hadn't been able to process or understand what feelings are, I can tell you this thought." Trinka closed his eyes slowly as he sighed a deep breath. "I hope to meet you in the next life."

With that simple sentence he let out his last breath, a gentle smile on his lips.

The kingdom mourned as the sky grew grey. They held a huge ceremony as both kingdoms met at the meeting land, where no man's land used to be. They built a tomb stone just for the new kings that passed away for the new era of peace. The late Kings of south and north were buried there and it would only be reasonable that this young King would be buried there too.
