Cooper

Another story I wrote awhile ago that I thought you would enjoy while waiting on me to post new stories. I still love you guys!

I fell in love with a bad boy. Well, he wasn’t the baddest, but bad enough for me. I was the most was the most well-behaved witch you would ever meet. Still am, actually. I was sorted into Hufflepuff, which I bet you’re now saying “Now I understand”.

Well, anyway. This bad boy’s name was Blaise Zambini. I know what you’re thinking: “How did you two even meet?” I know. A slytherin and a hufflepuff? But it’s possible.

Blaise was messing with a kid in the Hufflepuff hallway. Me, being the house’s prefect, had to take care of it. It was surprisingly easy. He stopped when I asked him too. I knew who he was of course, but he didn’t even recognize me. It was easy not to be noticed when your houses don’t have classes together.

“What’s your name?” he asked me as the kid scampered off.

“Cooper Lawerence,” He started to say his name but I interrupted him, “Blaise Zambini. I know.”

“Cooper is an unusual name for a girl,” I got comments like that all the time, “I like it though.”

“Thank you. You might want to get out of here though,” I paused, my cheeks were pink by this point, “Curfew is just In a few moments.”

“See ya around,” he told me.

That was our fifth year at Hogwarts, so we could pick and choose our classes that year, depending on what we wanted our future careers to be. I choose most of the hard classes, such as Arithmacy and Ancient Runes. Surprisingly, Blaise was in both. He sat next to me everyday, and we talked all the time. Eventually, he asked me out on a date. I accepted of course, not wanting to be rude. I wanted to go of course, but I was nervous.

I remember the date perfectly too. He took my down to Hogsmeade, where we at dinner and then went for a rather long walk. We talked and talked until it got so dark, that we couldn’t even see each other. The kiss at the end of the date was just mind blowing. He then asked me to be his girlfriend.

We dated all the way till seventh year, when he went to fight in the great war against Voldemort. He told me to stay in the room of requirement, until I was absolutely sure that the war was over.

“I promise that I will come back for you. We’ll get married and have our own children, you’ll see,” is what he told me before leaving. I didn’t even get to object.

You see, Blaise had a hard time keeping promises, but none the less, I have been waiting for him for two years. He was pronounced Missing in Action. I hoped that he was still alive and that he still loved me.
