9: Cooper

Draco picked me up at the exact time he said he would. I have to admit, it’s not something I’m used to, but I like it. Jay answered the door though and wouldn’t let him in. She had been acting weird for the past two days, and it was annoying me, but I decided to ask her about it later.

“You can’t come in, Draco,” she was being stubborn.

“Yes, he can,” I smiled sweetly at him.

“He’s going to ruin all your progress!”

“Progress with what?”

“Waiting for Blaise!”

“I told you. I’m through with that. I’m going out with Draco,” I pushed her aside, but she jumped on my back, “You’re being childish, Jay.”

“Ha!” she laughed and kicked the door shut, “You are for not waiting!”

“Look,” I blew a piece of hair out of my face, “If Blaise happens to return, I will break it off. For now, I’m going out with Draco!” I then flopped her down on the couch and hurried out the door.

“What was going on?” Draco asked with a confused expression on his face.

“Jay being Jay,” I smiled oddly at him knowing that was a lie.

Jay wasn’t acting like herself at all. She has been like this since she interviewed that Bellatrix. I told her it was a bad idea, but it’s not like she told me what it was for!

“Are you alright, Coop?” Draco asked as we walked down the street.

“I’m fine,” I then looked around as we stopped walking, “Where are we going?”

“You’ll see,” he said as he grabbed my hand, and the road disappeared with a POP!

When I opened my eyes, we were on a beach. I definitely had worn the wrong outfit. A long dress does not work well in the sand, I’m guessing.

“I thought we could have a nice walk and then watch the sunset,” Draco said as he took my hand.

“How romantic!” I said sarcastically because obviously it was romantic.

“Whats your middle name?” Draco asked as he played with my fingers, when we sat down to watch the sun set.

“Rae,” I smiled.

“Rae,” Draco smirked, “It suits you, just like a ray of sun.”

I didn’t know what to say. Draco was nothing like Blaise. He was better in fact! He made my heart race and said all the right things. It made me wonder what I ever saw in Blaise in the first place. I smiled at Draco though. I realized that he could be the one.

“What?” he asked when he caught me staring at him, “Do I have something on my face?”

“No, I was just looking,” I could never tell him that, not until I was sure anyway.
