6: Jade

Ron and I worked on that project for the next week. We had some trails, but they fizzled out fast. We needed, I needed, to find out if this did what Neville predicted because that would mean I was one step closer to seeing my Georgie, and of course for Coop seeing Blaise.

“We need to find something else,” Ron said, looking over the case file again.

“What if,” I was saying this slowly as the idea came to me, “what if we can question someone who was there? Some former deatheater? One that was close with Voldemort?”

“What are you on about, Jay?” Ron looked oddly at me.

“Bellatrix Lestrange hasn’t been prosecuted yet,” And I raised my eyebrow at him.

Ron smirked at me, “Brillant! I’ll get the warrant for it.”

When he left the room, I put on the muggle radio just as a Backstreet Boys’ song come on. I started dancing. I still couldn’t resist the urge! That’s when I realized it was our song, mine and Georgie’s. I stopped dancing and tears came pouring as I remembered our first dance.

You’re my shining star,

That is what you are

There is no one like you baby

Angels everywhere

Everytime you’re near

You will always be my baby

He pulled me close, after looking at my MP3 player for the perfect song. He took the longest time too. We were alone at his house in the summer holiday. Everyone was gone for the day.

Baby when you do the things you do

I wanna be close to you

‘Cause I need to feel your every move

Baby I can never say how much

I need your touch

I can’t get enough

‘Cause you know you turn me on

I smiled at that part, as he pulled me closer. He laughed a bit too. He then kissed me. I pulled him even closer, if that was possible at this point, as he pulled me into his bedroom. We kissed and kissed until he showed me that I turned him on.

“You’ll always be my baby.”

I can remember his words now, like they were still whispering in my ear.

I was seventeen our first time, my first time. He told me later that it was also his first time. I smiled to myself through me tears and turned off the radio. I wiped away my tears just as Ron came in with a piece of parchment in his hands.

“I got it!” he said happily, “What’s wrong?” he pulled me into a hug.

“It’s okay. I was happy crying,” I pulled away.

“About what?”

“George. I turned on the radio and our song came on,” I smiled to myself.

“Must’ve been a great memory,” he beamed at me.

“It was.”

“Well, we can’t go until Monday, but It’ll be alright,” Ron put the permit and case file into his desk.

“Yep, enjoy your weekend,” I winked at him.

“Oh, yes,” he lost his smile, “Our baby’s due date is tomorrow.”

“Why lose the smile? You’re going to be a dad!” I shrieked, “Besides, Coop has already had her day off this week, so maybe she’ll deliver your baby!”

“Maybe,” I said as he apperated out of the office.

That night, I dreamt Georgie was holding me close in a very beautiful wedding dress and he in a tux. I kissed him, as he turned out the lights.
