3: Cooper
[[Cooper’s P.O.V.]]
Blaise. That’s the first thought that always enters my mind when I wake up. I always check my window for owl mail. There’s never any. I always open the front door just in case someone is standing there, but there never is. Then my mind goes to other matters.
Jade. I always fix us our ham omelets every morning. We’ve done it ever since we graduated from Hogwarts. We’ve lived together since we’ve had enough money to live on our own. You see, we’ve been best friends since we were ten. My family moved to a muggle neighborhood because my mum was a muggle, and it’s where she was used to. Jade was a muggle, as far as I knew, but she was a witch too. Muggleborn. I am half blood.
“Morning!” Jade said as she flounced into the kitchen as I magically lifted the omelets onto two plates. She snatched her’s up right away, “You’re the best, Coop.”
“I know I am,” I joked as we sat at the table.
“Oh, just so you know,” Jade said with her mouth full, “Harry and Ginny are bringing James over tonight, so they can go out.”
“Jay, didn’t your mother ever teach you manners!” I joked at her as food fell out of her mouth, “Its okay that James comes over. He’s so cute!”
“Alright, well, I’ll see you whenever you get home,” Jade then stopped, “Don’t work too late today, “Okay?”
“I won’t,” which always turned into a lie.
After she left, I too got ready for work and slipped on my healer’s outfit. Blaise always wanted me to be a healer.
“You do good with people and are a whiz at remembering spells. A healing job would do you good.”
That’s exactly what he told me. So I became a healer. I know I shouldn’t base my life goal because some guy told me to, but I do love my job! Watching people become healthy after coming in ill or hurt.
“Hello!” Cho Chang, who was the head of Healers at St. Mongo’s, greeted me as I walked in.
“Hey, Cho,” I said as I passed her and walked to the lounge.
“How’s Jade doing?” Lavender asked me as I walked passed her, she’s still annoying.
“She’s doing good.”
“Here’s your assignments for today,” Cho then passed it out.
“Emergency spells again,” I said as I made my way over to the room, just as an emergency came through the door.
“What happened?” I asked right away.
“Attacked while on duty,” answered one of the men carrying the man on the stretcher.
I looked down at the man when they sat him on the bed. It was Draco Malfoy, Blaise’s best mate from Hogwarts.
