25: Cooper

My heart did flip-flops as I walked me down to the man that I would be with for the rest of my life. I know that today didn’t get off to a proper start, but it was going to end perfectly. I just knew it. I made it to the end of the aisle, and I took Draco’s arm. I threw a quick look at Jay, who looked like she was going to throw up. I then glanced over at George, who was grinning widely. I winked at him, and he winked back. It was because of me that he was even here today. Jade better be thanking me later. I smirked as I looked up at the preacher.

“I understand that you have written your own vows?” he asked as we both nodded.

Draco sighed as he readied himself, “You know,” he paused, “I,” he looked over my shoulder and then back at me and smiled again, “I remember how we felt sitting by the water,” I grinned because my vows were pretty similar, “And every time I look at you is like the first time. I fell in love with a careless man’s careful daughter. You are the best thing that’s ever been mine.”

I had started crying at this point. I knew it was my turn, so I sucked up my tears as best as I could as I said my memorized vows.

“I remember when we were sitting there by the water. You put your arm around me for the first time. You made a rebel of a carless man’s careful daughter. You are the best thing that’s ever been mine.”

I so wanted to kiss him right then and there, but I waited. It seemed like it was taking forever. My mother had really outdone herself. She got a band and had them play a song after each reading the pastor did. It was really a lengthey ceremony, but my mother wanted it, so I didn’t mind it. I stared into Draco’s eyes and smiled.

I did noticed George looking around us a couple times. I know that he was getting anxious. There was the love of his life, just across the room, and he couldn’t run to her. I was getting restless myself. I wanted this ceremony to be over, so I could kiss my husband. Plus, Jay would have her man too.

“You may kiss the bride,” the preacher said the words I had been longing to hear since I stepped foot into that church.

I looked up in Drake’s light blue eyes. I had butterflies in my stomach as he looked at me that he never did before. We kissed a long, deep, and passionate kiss. When we pulled apart, he took my hand in his as we turned to the audience.

“I now pronounce to you, Mr. and Mrs. Draco Malfoy,” the preacher said to the congregation.

We walked hand in hand towards the exit, but first I turned to look at Jay. She beamed over at me, as I nodded over to George. She gave me a thumbs-up as she approached George. My sights turned back to Draco as he whisked me away to the reception hall.
