14: Jade
“This place has the best food around here,” Seamus said after he ordered for us.
“I’m sure it does,” I smiled back.
What was wrong with me? I was supposed to be looking for Georgie not on a date with Seamus Finnegan. So, why was I acting like a school girl having a crush? Dinner with him is enough. The feelings are not. I know that I hadn’t been on a date in a long time, but I didn’t have to act like this. He was enjoying it too. I could tell.
“So, what brings you to Romania anyway? I know you told me the whole thing with the case, but it sounds like you could’ve finished the case back in England,” Seamus asked unexpectedly.
“I could’ve, but I’m here to look for someone. Someone in particular who was affected by one of these inventions.”
“And who would that be?” he was getting to be nosey.
“George Weasley,” I stated simply as I took a bite of my food as it arrived.
“George Weasley? Why would you be-“ he paused like he remembered something, “Oh, yeah! You and him were a major item back at Hogwarts. I remember now. How did this happen to him though? I thought he was tough.”
“Things happen to the toughest of them,” I looked down at my plate.
I couldn’t look him in the eye now. He knew that I was here for George. He wasn’t going to act the same now that he knew the real reason why I was in Romania.
“How long has it been since the Great War?” Seamus asked me, which made me look up at him.
“It’s been two years,” my voice cracked a little.
“I’ve been gone that long?” he asked his eyes getting wide, “I remember now. I remember that I promised Parvati Patil that I would come back for her,” tears started to fall down his face, “What if she’s already moved on? I love her.”
I put my hand on his arm, “I’m sure she hasn’t.”
“I need to go back. I need to go back tonight,” Seamus stood up, “Will you come back with me? I need your help, Jay. You are the only person I know around here, and I don’t know if I can find her on my own.”
I stood up, crying tears of my own now, “Of course I’ll help you find her,” I told him as I pulled him into a hug.

I was back in London, and it felt good. Back to familiar surroundings. I took Seamus back the Ministry, where I knew we could find Parvati’s address quickly. That was at my office. I noticed Draco coming out of his, as I sat down at my desk.
“Jay?” he asked as he came over, “What are you doing back? I thought you wouldn’t give up.”
“I haven’t given up,” I said, going through some files, “I have to help Seamus though,” I said as Draco noticed that Seamus was sitting at the chair in front of my desk.
“Seamus! You were one of the missing in action from the war!” Draco smirked at me, “You are on to something here. We have to post this in the Prophet! One of our own has been found by one of our true aurors. It’s going to be bloody fantastic.”
“Draco,” I paused looking through the files, “I’m helping Seamus then I’m going back. I can’t just stay here when I have even more hope the George is out there,” I then resumed what I was doing.
“Jay,” he paused, “at least visit Coop before you head back. She misses you so much.”
“I will,” I smiled as I found what I was looking for, “Come on, Seamus. I found her!”
*
I knocked on the door to the small but nice house. A woman who looked like Parvati opened the door.
“Can I help you?” she asked me warily.
“Yes, is this the residence of Parvati Patil?” I asked.
“Yes it is. Parvati!” the woman yelled as an older version of Parvati came to the door.
“What is it mother?” she asked as she spotted me, “Jade Robertson? What are you doing here?”
“I believe I’ve found something of yours,” I said, stepping to the side and revealing Seamus.
She gasped and ran into his arms. I smiled along with her mother as the two lovers kissed. I looked over at the mother who took my hand, “Thank you for bringing him back. Now she doesn’t have to marry that awful man her father had chosen for her,” she then kissed my hand.
“It’s no problem,” I started to walk down the steps, “I have to be going. Best of Luck you guys!”
