"Geeze. I don't even know where I am!" The voice of a young girl came through the trees.

"Did you hear that, Ace?" Luffy asked.

"Ignore it." Ace said, going back to scraping the bark off a tree branch, trying to fashion it in to a spear.

There was a knock at the door of the cabin, making Dadan groan.

"WE'RE NOT BUYING!" She screamed.

"Um, please help me, miss! I'm lost!" The voice of a young girl came from the other side of the door.

"Someone's lost?" Luffy asked. He got up and ran to the door.

"Luffy, wait-!" Ace called, teying to grab his little brother, but it was too late. Luffy reached the door and opened it.

Just outside stood a girl that looked the same age as Luffy. Bright red hair, sparkling golden eyes.

"Hi." Luffy said.

"... why do you have that hat?" The girl asked.

"It was given to me by my friend, Shanks!" Luffy said. The girl's golden eyes widened.

"You're firends with Shanks?!" She asked.

"Luffy!" Ace called and yanked Luffy back, shoving the eight year old boy behind him and glaring at the girl.

"Who are you?! What are you doing here?" Ace demanded, glating her down.

"Oh, my name is Aisuru! I'm visiting this island with my dad, but he got drunk and passed out at the bar, so I started wandering and got lost!" She said. Luffy shoved passed Ace.

"I'm Monkey D Luffy! I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" Luffy said. Aisuru smiled.

"Really? Can I join your pirate crew?" She asked.

"Yeah!"

"Yay!"

"Hold on!" Ace said, pulling Luffy back again.

"Why do you want to join my little brother's pirate crew, anyway?" Ace snapped.

"Huh? Oh, because I told my Dad that I was going to be part of the crew of the next pirate king!" She said.

"Wow, really? That so cool!" Luffy said.

"Why do you want to be part of the Pirate King's crew?! What are you planning?" Ace growled.

"Planning? I just wanna be a strong pirate. Even stronger than my Dad! That way, I can play a duet with Big Sis Uta!" Aisuru said.

"You know Uta?!" Luffy asked, freeing himself from Ace's grip and running up to Aisuru, his eyes wide.

"Yeah! She's my big sister!" Aisuru said.

"Wait, if Uta is your big sister... then Shanks is your dad?!" Luffy asked. Aisuru nodded.

"Uh-huh!" She said.

"Then is Shanks here on the island?!" Luffy asked.

"Yeah! He's down in Windmill Village! He said he wanted to see Makino while we were in the area and stop for supplies, too!" She said.

"Then you're gonna be here for a few days, right? Come on! Lets play!" Luffy said, geabbing Aisuru's hand and running towards the forest with her.

"Luffy! Get back here!" Ace called.

"Well, if they're running off, you should be a good big brother and watch after them." Dadan said.

"Shut up, you old hag!" Ace said.

"What did you say, you little brat?!" Dadan snapped.

Before she could do much else, Ace had grabbed his pipe and ran out the door after Luffy and Aisuru.

"Luffy! Don't just run off like that! What if you fell in the river?" Ace scolded.

"Ai-chan could have pulled me out! Right, Ai-chan?" Luffy asked.

"Nope." She said.

"WHAT?!" Luffy asked.

"I can't swim neither! I ate a devil fruit!" She said.

"You did? I ate one, too!" Luffy said. Aisuru giggled.

"I know! Daddy told me all about it." She said.

"Two devil fruit users in one place? Ugh. What a pain... what devil fruit did you eat anyways?" Ace asked.

"I ate the dog-dog fruit; fox form! I can turn in to a fox!" She said.

"Really?! Can I see?" Luffy asked.

"Uh-huh!" Aisuru said and jumped up. She turned in to a fox. Luffy's eyes turned in to starts and he let out a cheer.

"So cool!" Luffy said.

"Can you fight like that?" Ace asked skeptically. Fox Aisuru ran to a tree, running straight up the tree and disappearing in to the foliage.

"Aw, Ace! Why did you have to be so mean? Ai-chan! Come back!" Luffy called.

A monkey went flying out of the tree screeching as it fell to the river. It scrambled out and ran off, Fox Aisuru landing on a large rock by the river before transforming back to her himan form.

"Did you just beat up that monkey?" Ace asked.

"Yup! It was planning on stealing from you, so I beat it up!" She said with a smile.

"How do you know that?" Ace asked.

"I can talk to animals when I'm in my fox form." She said.

"So cool!" Luffy cheered, looking at Aisuru with stars in her eyes.

"Yup, her devil fruit is a lot cooler than yours, Luffy." Ace said.

"What!" Luffy said.

"Don't fight!" Aisuru said, running between the boys.

"Let's play instead! Uncle Beck will probably come looking for me soon, so let's play while we have the chance!" Aisuru said.

For the next three days, Aisuru stayed with Luffy, Ace and Dadan, playign and training with Ace and Luffy every day.

"Hey, Luffy..." Aisuru said as she sat on the cliff beside him. Ace had disappeared somewhere as he always did at some point in the day.

"Yeah, Ai-chan?" Luffy asked.

"I'm going to be leaving the island soon with my dad. Even though I'll be gone... will we still be friends?" She asked.

"Of course we will! I like a lot, Ai-chan! Like a lot a lot!" Luffy said. Aisuru's cheeks turned pink.

"You do?" She asked.

"Yeah!" He said. She blushed and looked at the ground.

"I like you a lot, too, Luffy." She said.

"Then be my girlfriend!" Luffy said.

"Huh?! D-do you even know what you're asking?! We're only eight!" She said.

"So! I like you, you like me, so be my girlfriend!" He said. Aisuru blushed.

"So, that means you want to be my boyfriend?" She asked.

"Yeah!" He said. She blushed harder.

"Okay! Then I'm your girlfriend, and you're my boyfriend!" She said.

"Yeah! But I'm your only boyfriend, okay? Don't go get any new boyfriends while you're away!" He said.

"Of course not! You're my only boyfriend and I'm your only girlfriend!" She said.

"Deal!" He said. He stuck out his hand. She grabbed his hand and grinned.

"Wait, no, that's not right. Dadan said that boyfriends and girlfriends make promises a different way. Hummm.... oh! Right!" Luffy pulled her close and kisses her cheek. Her face was fire red.

"Now you kiss me and it's a deal!" He said with a laugh. Aisuru dover in and peck a kiss to Luffy's cheek.

"Deal!" She said.

"When I set sail and become a pirate, I'll find you, Ai-chan! And then you'll join my crew!" He said.

"Count on it! It's a promise!" She said. As the sun set, just as she had called a few days ago, Benn Beckmann showed up looking for her. Aisuru said her goodbyes to Ace and Luffy.

"Remember, Luffy! When we meet on the sea I'll join your crew!" She said. Luffy nodded.

"And you won't have any boyfriends other than me!" He said.

"Count on it!" She said. With that, she and Benn left.
