"We'll see each other soon, inshallah, right?" Asma Aunty said, grabbing my face. I nodded in response with a little smile. The night has come to an end, and everyone was leaving. After Bhai's not such a sly comment, all comments about the proposal were unheard. The night ended, okay. We had dessert, discussed baby names, and played lots of Mario Kart. I even talked to Zayn without continually blushing. It was all good!

I looked over to see Maya Aunty talking to Zayn. She was commenting about how skinny he looked and was and how she was going to make him lots of food. His black hair was swept to the side, and he was smiling, his pearly whites on show. He must've noticed me staring, and he looked over, giving me a small smile. I quickly looked away. Astagfirullah. Should I get to know him for marriage? I still hadn't decided to move further ahead. I was frankly scared. What if something terrible happens, creating tension between our close-knit families? What if he's a bad husband? What if... I kept going on with the what if's when a voice broke me out of my pessimistic thoughts.

"Salaam! Habibti," Maya aunty said, hugging me. She then grabbed my face and looked straight into my eyes, "Give him a chance," She said with a very bad wink- but adorable nonetheless.

"Anything for you," I replied, kissing her cheek. She shook her head and followed Bhabi outside, who gave me a wave with a wink. I swear everyone was winking at me today.

Bhai then came up to me, hugging me. I pretended to be angry. "Oh come on, Saima, I'm sorryyy," He said, dragging the "y" and pouting. "Shut up," I teased, kissing him on the cheek and shooing him away.

Zayn was the last to leave, greeting my family goodbye, "Salaam Saima," He said quietly with a smile.

"Waalaikumsalam," I mumbled, slamming the door - not on purpose. It just happened by accident. I turned around to see Zara staring at me with her arms crossed over their chest. "What?" I asked

"You're smiling like a crazy person," Zara giggled.

I brought my hands to my mouth, and she was right. I had a full-blown smile.

"So..?"

"You do like Zayn Bhai!" She stated, throwing her fist into the air. So dramatic

"No, I don't go help Mama and Baba clean up," I said, trying to get rid of her. I rolled my eyes at Zara's comment and went upstairs.

After changing into my pajamas and praying Isha, I jumped onto my bed to see way too many texts on my super dry phone. I opened one of the chats to see a group chat between Bhai, Bhabi, Rukaiya, Fatima, Zara, and Zayn.

Bhai bye: I call rematch on Mario Kart

Bhabi jaan <3: Get over it you big baby, you suck

Bhai bye: I do not! Saima was cheating!

Me: How do you cheat in Mario Kart? You just suck (:

Rukaiya <3: Saima appi you need to teach me you're a beast at Mario Kart

 My little bby Zara: Give one to Bhai while your at it ;)

Bhai bye: you know I was planning on taking you shopping Zara... I guess that wont be happening anymore :(

My little bby Zara: I take that back Appi you suck Bhai you're the best... you're just letting Saima win

Bhai bye: That's my favourite sister

Me: Suck up

Fatima<3: You should teach Zayn Bhai while you're at it ;)

Zayn: No offense Saima, but I think I'm good :)

Me: Eh, you do need some work though you're a lil slow :)

I have no idea where the sudden boldness came from but I went with it

Zayn: Oh you're on, I could beat you if I tried 😎

Me: You wish (: No one has ever beat me. It's one of my many talents

Zayn: mhm okay whatever helps you sleep at night

Bhai bye: Alrighty you two, I think it's time for all of you to go to sleep, remember Saima you have an interview in the morning, I'll be there at 8 to pick you up

Me: wait why are you picking  me up, I can drive there myself 

Bhai bye: that's nice but I'll be there... with starbucks :)

Me: Fine goodnight guys

Rukaiya<3: Goodnight and good luck Appi! Go kill it!!!

Fatima <3: night and yes! You'll do great!!

Bhabi jaan <3: goodnight and goodluck Saima

Zayn: Good luck, i'm sure you'll do amazing :)

Quickly replying a thank you, I stared at Zayn's "good luck" for a bit longer than I probably should and went to bed.
